Just wondering if the skeleton trap is only for the season or if it will become a new permanent trap?
If its temporary, i dont see much a point in upgrading the trap..

They need to adjust it vs air.
It can easily destroy an entire balloon/hound raid by itself.
Two (or three) Wars ago, a mate do a Loonion attack on war against a TH9 with all defenses/wall at TH8 levels.
Main attack started, luring and kill CC, put king and queen on south with skill to engage opponent queen, kill queen, deploy all loons on south followed by minions. rages to core, heal when killing AD's and xbows on core...
After main attack, only 6 defenses up on north (and only 2 AT's, rest mortars/Cannons, a few minions and king on south cleaning buildings and 14-15 loons moving from NE to NW to clean rest of defenses, with 1:30 left seemed an easy 3*.
Skeleton traps appeared, and in around 30 seconds all loons without support fall. Not more than 30 seconds to kill 14 loons with almost full health. After killing all loons, skellies moved to kill minions and at end, 3 minions and king alone wasn't unable to reach TH. That easy war ended with 1* due to skellies.
If your minions leave your loons alone and skellies appear, it can be a problem.
PD: I'm an avid user of loonion/lavaloonion/lavaloon attacks, and never bothered about skeleton traps, sometimes skellies die even without noticing, in most cases they die fast to pups, minions or Queen...
Skellies can ruin a raid, but never happeend to me yet.
