So what do you guys thinking? Is it a good or bad thing?
I didnt build it yet, because i have no space for a new mortar, but i think that the balance is going to be a little bit off.
Attacking is going to be a lot more difficult, because of less weakpoints in someone's base. The time that you was planning: Oke! im going to attack from the top right because of no mortar is over..
hopefully im wrong, well see :D
I'm not a fan. Gotta redesign my bases and they will have a low level mortar defending a spot for a couple weeks while I'm upgrading it

I Love It, now my base can be symetrical❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The upside:
- One more defense to protect your loot.
- Should slow down GoWi-Type attackers... a little.
- Something to spend all your overflowing gold on. :rolleyes:
The downsides:
- All current bases are probably obsolete.
- Barch farming just got harder.
- All raiding just got harder.
- Something (storage/collector/defense) is moving outside walls.
- More gold needs to be spent.
- Doesn't help one bit against mass dragons for TH8s.
- Less chance your going to 3-star with that expensive GoWi-Type army.
I'm sure there are others, but this starts to take a look at the pros and cons of the new mortar.
Don't really like it for TH8... think it should have gone to TH 9 or 10. Just one more thing to upgrade.
I feel that the defense is way too much overpowered compared to the attack capabilities. There should be a new upgrade for army camp or something to make it more balanced....

They did the 4th mortar because lvl7 barching was too easy. I wish they had waited til th9 because everything in th8 is triangulated (3 wiz towers, airdefs, mortars, teslas). Now the actual designs are off balance. It's great for th9 tho because you have 4 of everything. But now all my favorite designs are unusable. :(

Yep. Overall I like the addition. Yes, my base will need some changes and I'm gonna be delayed by a few weeks finishing up my 8, but it will help with the level 6 giant spans and Batch armies. Brought a bit more strategy to TH8, which is good. Weeds out the amateurs relying on overpowering spam attacks.Quote:

Attacking? Until bases are redesigned, should have little effect if any. Once redesigns ate underway....well....things ate gonna get interesting. Higher elixir costs for army for certain. Elixir is going to be as sought after as DE.

I love how everyone is complaining about how the th8 designs they found on the forums are now oudated.
Right, because building an original layout is so hard.
An extra army camp means 60 more troops for a th10 with level 8 camps. Not sure that is the best way to balance the game.Quote:
