Walls take sooooooooooooooo many resources to upgrade and almost all upgrading stops to finish them off. The loot system has gone down hill quite a bit and upgrading with elixir is quite nice, we still need to build armies and nexting for those rare inactive bases. It takes ~34m gold or elixir to get pink walls to dark purple (level 6 to 7). Raiding, even with 200k total of one resource, that's 170 raids. Wars, 600k loot average, that's still about 30 wars and you have to WIN EVERY WAR. Really? This is why we need lvl 12 collectors.

Upgrade cost: 500,000 (+332,000)
Hitpoints: 1000 (+250)
Resources Gained Per Hour: 6,500 (+3,500)
Build time: 6 days (+2)
Storage Compacity: 300,000 (+150,000)
Production: 5,000 per hour (+2,000)
Town hall: 8
This will introduce more loot into the system and help with upgrades and armies.
