Quality of Life Improvments
Quick introduction, I have been playing CoC for about 8 months, and it still is an amazing game for me. Just would like to share some quick ideas to improve the game.
On game mechanics
1. Maybe supercell can implement an info-graphic on the TH loot system. It gives people the information to make wiser decisions. This is more of a problem of people rushing THs without realizing the cost of doing so. How many TH9s with gold/pink walls and level 4 giants do you see? For example, if you rush to TH9, you can pretty much say bye to TH7's loots. There is literally nothing in the game that warns you about the loot penalty system, (and also the fact that higher THs can farm you more). This contributes to loot "problems". The fact that the TH is relatively cheap compared to defensive upgrades also makes it more appealing to rush your TH.
2. For a TH level difference of 1, you can steal 90% of the available loot. TH8s are getting pummeled by max level giants and archer queens, and TH9 getting pummeled by the (insert whatever TH10s use). 90% is WAY too much, considering that your base can get 100%-ed easily even though you have decent defenses for your TH level.
3. Make dark elixir storage more resistant vs lightning spells. Everyone at some point of time will have their dark elixir zapped by lightning spells. Really nasty.
4. "Village owner is online". Really hate this one. You can be immune to attacks as long as you are... constantly refreshing your phone? IF you are constantly online, it either shows that either you are extremely addicted to the game (which is bad) or you are using a 3rd party program to stop your CoC from refreshing (which is bad too). I know that Supercell logs you out after about 6 hours or so, but only for a minute or two, but that is still too little done!
Attacking
1. Having an option to save an "army set". Like for example, if I press army set A, then my barracks will start training X number of barbarians, Y number of archers, and Z number of giants. And I can assign what barracks train what. It makes it so much easier to prepare your attack, rather than spending time, trying to optimize training time by juggling troops between barracks, or meticulously assigning what barracks to train what for the perfect troop ratio.
2. Displaying amount of loot available when you are scouting bases for your revenge attack. (I mean why shouldn't it be so?) Really troublesome to check those storage and pumps to estimate your potential loot.
Defensive buildings
1. Besides just showing the DPS, the actual damage on hit, and also attack per second should be displayed as well. If players find this troublesome and wordy, there can be an option implemented to hide all of these additional info.
Why is this important? People tend to underestimate the power of wizard towers and mortars. (I mean who cares about +1 dps right?) More importantly, it answers the question of "how many shots does it take for this mortar to kill my barb/archer?" The difference between 1 or 2 shots for a mortar to maul a group of troops is really important.
