I noticed if you max hogs to level 5 they don't seem too bad... What are your guy's thoughts on upgrading hogs and minions?

I noticed if you max hogs to level 5 they don't seem too bad... What are your guy's thoughts on upgrading hogs and minions?

Minions are the idea farming troop, they are cheap, quick, and decently strong.
Heroes should always be first DE upgrades. The DE troops are good, but not as good as heroes.
If I ever gem for dark elixir, I would gem for the 4th and 5th levels of Minions.
Upgrade your heroes first. Obviously nobody wants their Barb King to stay at level 1 because he can't destroy stuff fast enough. Once you got your ideal hero level and a preferred resting timer for your heroes, then upgrade your minions.
If your endgame idea is to go for trophies, then eventually you will want high level heroes and golems. If your endgame is to farm/build your village and have fun, then minions.

I have level 2 minions, and I will take them all the way.
I take 25 into every battle.
I have level 1 hog riders, but I never use them.
They seem cool, but they're in need of an upgrade or two before I can see myself using them regularly.
Depends what you use more. If you use minions more, upgrade minions. If you use hog riders more, upgrade hog riders. If you don't use any of those, upgrade something else.
I have level five mr t's and they wreck....I cant recommend them enough. I use ten of them per battle.
