Ok time out... I know giants aren't actually bad, but I need serious help trying to farm with them. I'm a th9 and I only have lvl 5 giants. Is level 6 a lot better or something because guys are kicking my butt with lvl 6 giants and I thought lvl 5 might not be that bad. So is it the level or is it me?

I have heal spells cooking constantly so it could range from 1-3.
Level 6 is a massive boost
Use 1 to test for traps.
Use the rest backed up immediately by barch. Do not let them wander without the barch army behind them.
I usually have 2 groups of giants backed up by 2 groups of barch. Heal spells when necessary.
lv.5 and lv.6 is totally different
If u have a storage UR trying to go for use Giants and wallbreakers to go in that direction and clear out defenses let in barch right after for cleaning up
Make sure ur not stingy on the heals...rage can also do good...lvl 6 giants r so much better plus 270 life (i think) is huge (multiply that for 10 giants)
lvl 5 giants is used for storage farming especially DE farming for TH8. I use this composition for faming storages and also get 1 star in every raid.

spells: all heal
cc troops: any troops
Just raid bases with 150K of reasources each or DE of 800 or more. Test for spring traps, deploy 6 giants, then wb then remaining giants and archers. Send in goblins once you get to storages, especially vault type bases. Cast heal if needed.

I don't recommend using them with Barch at level 5. At level 6 it's okay. If your giants are level 5 use something else to farm.Quote:

The health is the biggest thing IMO, they can run meat shield for much longer for your firepower to do work
Instead of giants, using more barbs is far more effective. It allows you to check 5 different spots for traps, as opposed to one spot per unit. You're barching anyways-- the most effective way would be to just go for collector raids outside of walls without the use of any extra troops outside of barbs/archers.
