I don't really know how to respond to the kind words. I do think it's nice to give credit when it's due. We all learn from the people who came before us. I remember joining the Bullies in late November or something. I'd spent the previous few months in a clan with an inactive leader and some nice kids who played sporadically. I just felt bad about leaving but at some point never getting donations was too much and I left.

It was around that time I started checking into the forums. I read a thread in which Mediapluck posted that The Bullies was a clan for adults, and I was sold. I learned a ton from Mediapluck, even though his advice never made it into something that seemed appropriate for specific attribution when I started posting more frequently. And at some point down the road I may stop playing (hopefully not too soon!), but with luck the game will be better for the collective contributions everyone makes.

A good base is not just about how you place your walls, but how you place everything. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts (i.e. just walls).

Edit: TH9 clan leader in #1 position that failed miserably against my superiorly designed base:

He seriously underestimated my superior defense and came unprepared without spells.

Edit: Here is yet another TH9 clan leader (this one is in the #2 slot in his clan) who used a primarily ground based attack with spells...and failed miserably.

If you consider that a farming layout given the troops/spells used and amount gained then you need to reconsider what you term "farming".

My TH8 base isn't just well built. It is godly and the best I've ever seen in the game.

Does it have no loot or trophies? Because the best defence is to have nothing the attacker wants.

I'm feeling the same way, I've never seen any defense as good a mine. It's beyond godlike and i don't even give away elixirs like many people do.
