The machines I have been getting don't produce high value items. Lately I pick 8 visitors up for the town, fill thier request and then sell off the gift they give. I've been trying for months to get to 1 mil but with the salads and sushi on the horizon im doubtful I will get there. What's your tip for best profits? I'm thinking of clearing out barn and stopping trucks (only fill trucks over 600xp) and boats (turn away all sugars and creams). Thoughts?
I made a lot of coins selling fruits and nuts and berries in my stand at max price. Trade off, had to hire tom a lot for
axes and saws. Set my timer at night so didn't miis out on the 2 hour nap. Just an idea, I works for me:o
My advice is to sell only from your RSS. Sell at max price.
Boat and truck orders are more about xp than coins. Unless there is an event going on.
Truck Event might be next after this one. I'm not sure. In which case truck orders will be profitable as well.
Buy from other shops only what you need to make something. As in buying chili peppers to make your own spicy pizza.
Keep your shopping to a minimum.
Im level 56 as well and I have enough space in my barn that I am now starting to build up a stock of red berry cakes and bacon and eggs in preparation for the Visitor Event. I feel that whatever I can make from what I grow myself is basically pure profit.
Im also not one of those who feels that it's necessary to have one of everything just so the Visitors can only ask for what I have.
The Visitor Event I would say is your best opportunity to make a lot of coins fast. You will find threads here on that.
Oh yes, and at level 56 I have 8 million coins.

Whilst waiting for the next visitor event, you might try looking for the current gap in the market. Right now, there's a shortage of woollen goods so you could focus on selling those. Also, I've noticed there is a shortage of strawberries now, after searching fruitlessly (pun intended) for some yesterday. Strawberries used to be quite hard to shift in the rss but now, with the candle machine, people are obviously making full use of them. Max out your strawberry plots! :)
but if you only intend to do orders with 600 xps and above, that would have to mean they would generally be lower in coins if they're high in xps. how is that going to help you with building up coins? recently i challenged myself to wipe out my coins and started from scratch again. in no time i was able to chalk up to a few million coins and bought 3 statues. heres what i did :
1. made full use of the truck and visitors event. i made about 400K coins from the visitors event.
2. used tom to fetch diamond rings and resold them at full price
3. traded bems for lems and resold them at full price. since i traded 1 bem for 4 lems at default price i was able to make coins very quickly
4. stop doing boats. boat orders when xp and coins combined are sometimes less than what you get selling full price at the shop. for eg i had a boat order with lettuce. 1 crate of 10 lettuce gave me only 100 coins and 100 xp. i could sell them at the shop for 324 coins.
if you want to have coins quickly theres no time to produce anything from scratch.
Good point about the truck orders, Daniel. Yes, if coinage is your aim, then do the truck orders with a lower xp ratio to coins.Quote:

for me, i buy bacon & eggs, red berry cakes, blackberry muffins and chili popcorn in huge quantities to resell to them. for silo it would be wheat and corn. i dont do fruit because its hard to find them on the newspaper. basically you can sell them anything so long as its something easy to find on the paper so you can replenish quickly. the visitors will ask for the most items you have or none of so remember to have at least 1 of each item in your barn and silo so you dont waste time letting them come to your farm asking for something that you have 0 of. just keep doing that and you can easily make about 100K coins per day.Quote:

I will echo whar everybody else said. Don't do boats, trucks, little people on you farm or in your town. Not sure what level you barn is but stock up on everything even small coin stuff. I made my first million by not doing any events but what it takes to get the gift. I then bought a tractor:mad:, went down to 200,000 and it took me just about 1month to hit 1 mill again. My other trick is to stock up on items right after an event finishes then when the next event starts you will have lots to sell max price. I do help my neighbors/ hoodies still. Good luck. Pm if you have more questions;). I never sell berries or tree fruit, takes to many axes and saws.
thats provided we get a visitors event next week lol. i think the visitors event is hard work. all the buying and selling makes me not want to look at the paper for a few days straight afterwards, but its worth the effort.Quote:

When you are doing 1 building town orders the amount of XP, most of the time is the amount of coins that you lose for not selling on your RSS (excluding candy products). You usually get TEM as a gift and 1 TEM is 342 coins. So if the XP is lower that 342 you will probably make profit. For a town order with 100 XP, you can make about 250 more coins by doing town order and selling the TEM, than selling the stuff on your RSS. Map as a gift for 1 ring town order makes a total of 862 coins.

Since the update I made 120k coins, excluding about 10 or 20 rings that I bought in the meantime.
I am waiting for the olive trees to use my saws. Which should make 50k more for double coin visitors event.
I started saving coins from 0 (I've been caught in the middle for candle maker) at the started of level 55, and it seems like I will make enough (150k) before I reach 56 for sushi bar.

Yes, no more orders, just produce stuff to sell in your rss. Do that just for 3 days, or until the next visitor event, and you'll hear the sweet ker-ching of your till as the money goes up. Its actually quite relaxing, not doing orders for a while. :)Quote:

Jewelry truck orders are a good way to make more than the item sells in the RSS for as well (just watch the pricing). I often get truck orders for rings and bracelets that are above RSS market value.
My favorite is the 3k coin + some experience points for 2 rings.
Scour the DD for deals. Look for cheap bacon, 10 bacon for 140 coin I come across often. That bacon can be resold for full price - takes a little longer to sell but it always sells. Some people sell at default pricing - RAID THAT! Get it all, take it all, laugh while your doing it, have RSS fights with other trying to get it, use 5 fingers tapping as many RSS slots as you can! Then, Resell it 2 seconds later in your RSS at full price... cha-ching!!!
2x coin events should be taken advantage of! I sent out 158 trucks one day during those events and it really pads your coin reserves well. For visitors, they typically ask for the item you have most. So, stock up on an item that is easy to find. The last 2x coin visitor event, I dealt strictly with wool. Wool is so easy to find, and visitors were offering about 100 coin per 10 pieces above RSS full price. So, even if you paid full price for the wool, you still gained profit! Do it enough times, and you makes 10s of thousands of dollars with very little effort.
Also, avoid decorating. Because decorations increase in cost as you acquire more of the same item, before you know it, a small section of fence is costing you more than 1000 coin per piece.
Tom helps, A LOT! Of course he does, that's why he costs diamonds. Tom gets me jewelry because the jewelry building cannot make it fast enough for the amount of truck orders I get for it. If you can afford him, use him and use him wisely. Don't send him for simple stuff like pumpkin pies. Those you can find in the DD easily. Use him as an opportunity to make coin!
I, too, had the million coin goal around your level. Fortunately, we had some decent 2x coin events and I get plenty of jewelry truck orders (2x coin events on jewelry truck orders are also AMOOOZING). Since I obtained it, I have not dropped below 1 million coins since I got there despite buying new machines and sponsoring a lower level in my neighborhood.
Try not to expand barn, land, silo, and town. The items needed to expand are expensive. If you constantly are buying them (at least 270 a pop), it is going to add up. Currently it takes 50 of each part to upgrade my barn - that is 40,500 coin if you get all your pieces from the RSSs. However, having a larger barn is very helpful during the visitor and truck events. So, this needs to be balanced.
"Live off your land" This is kind of obvious... but the more you produce on your land to create products, the higher your profit margins from things you sell. Since most of machine ingredients inevitably come from crops (even things animals produce since feed requires crops), you can produce everything on your farm for essentially nothing - as long as you manage your crops well. For reference, look at a pumpkin pie. If you buy all the ingredients for full price from someone else's farm, it costs about 128 coin to make. That's only a profit of 30 coin when you sell it. If you were to live off your land, you would have made 158 coin profit.

What are the best items to yield the highest ROI? I have sold my lem, sem and bem materials --- with the intention of focusing on increasing coins. I need the coins. I am at level 42 and only had 45K coins and I'm amazed that people had 8 milllion!
I am taking the challenge of not doing any boat orders, truck orders, town orders, or visitor orders for 3 days. Everything in my barn has been sold off.
Now I'm just looking for more advice on what items would be the best to have going in my production buildings for this time to turn around and sell...
And yes, I'm going to use Tom too, but just waiting on a couple more diamonds.
Anything from the coffee kiosk has nice profit as well as xp. Not sure if you have that yet.Quote:

Apart from that I try to keep even my ingredient purchases from the DD to a minimum.
Every time I buy tomatoes or potatoes or chili peppers or anything from the DD at max price, I am cutting in to my profits.

Its just my little thing but when I do buy a crop ingredient I make sure to plant and then sell enough of them so as to recoup my purchase price in addition to what I made from the goods i produced.
Whatever I can produce from ingredients that I have grown or produced on the farm is where I focus most of my energy.
I also do a lot of wheating. I sell the wheat to visitors and make lots of stuff like bread and feed, none of which are very profitable. But the extra expansion materials I get from doing this are sold off in my RSS at max price. Always nice profits there because I get them for free.
