Since the end of TH8, and now at TH9, I allways go with 1 lightning, and rest rage ........
Usually raid with BAM or Balloonion, but carry same spell set when using dragons... I prefer the increased speed and damage over the heal spell, and once you are up against 4 AD, knocking out one AD with lightning doesn't seem to be worth it ...... :cool:
plus, I think it may be habit to carry the 1 lightning, because I rarely use it on CC troops anyway, esp when you have a dragon .......
so ....... RAGE :p
Using lightning on ad seems poinless when you can just rage through it which will not only destroy ad, but also help save precious time.
Usually all rage, when I first mass dragged I brought all lightning but quickly realised that rage were way better, heal also seems popular
All TH7/Low TH8 I've used lightning, I'm starting to transition over to rage unless the base works better for lightning.
If there is only two AD's then lighting is the safer approach to 3 staring a base. Destroy the furthest one and place all your dragons near the other AD.
If there is more then two AD's then rage would work better.
Healing spells are ok as long as you are running against multiple low lvl AD's.
I would not mix different spells when using mass dragons. You either go all lightning, rage or healing.
I've personally never used mass dragons
but when I've been attacked by them, they usually come with rage spells
and most of the time, it works

I switch it up depending on the base I'm attacking. It's either three lightning or three rages for me.
Ya, speaking from a TH7 perspective, when dealing with TH7, if you triple strike that AD, you've got the win in the bag. I assume it would change a bit when you have more AD to deal with, depending on placement.
