I had forgotten about selling buildings! There was a lady in my clan that had just got a tesla, and I think it was the most expensive building available, only to find her three year old daughter sold it!
do you remember there were a few bases that sold their collectors to make it more difficult to get 50% against them? Some upgrade happened, probably the introduction of the TH loot penalty, and left them stranded. Rauta, the only sc rep here at the time, told them they needed to find a way out!

There was more than one cup on offer at 1500 though - over 2k was where it started to get slim pickings, of course at that time it was pre-magnifying glass so we had to keep tapping "find base" until something came up.
Before Halloween 2012 TH8 was the max, no spells, no xbows etc so the main attack strategy was all balloons, this (terribly shot) ancient video of my friend raiding was how it was done (this vid was after the spells came out).

I also recall spending ages trying to get that Sweet Victory achievement. Taking screenshots when I was 1 trophy away; It was an actual challenge back then!! :D
It makes me sad to see their profile and see the last time they logged in was in 2012. :(
