Anoushki said this is way to difficult for only war, so I agree that Heroes should be available while upgrading. If you are constantly upgrading them, they are not available a lot of the time, which really defeats the purpose of having them....

Totally agree with this petition/suggestion. Keep both defense and offense on equal footing. If you can use upgrading heroes for defense in cow, you should be able to use them when attacking
Signed!!! I believe this would be a game changer for me and my clan, far too often clan members leave the clan right before the start of war just cause they are down a hero or two. I've put off hero upgrades due to this as well. It's time that SC lets go of this one and gives in.:rolleyes:

Having upgrading heroes usable in wars rewards the grind done for them.
If you do not reward the big grinds more you will have more and more people giving up.
And there would still be some incentive to gem them because they are still a big help to get more DE again.
this needs to be fixed as soon as possible. Heroes should be available for war. War breaks the monotony of just raiding. Not very often do you get to use both heroes raiding.
i haven't reached this stage yet but when my heroes get to lvl 15+, where the upgrade time for each is one week, it will be very annoying. Heroes are vital in war attacks.

I see SC responded to this thread but the stupid thing is 84 pages long so it could be anywhere. What did they say?
Players should be able to use upgrading Heroes during war. Why can the Heroes protect your base during wars but you cant attack with them? makes no sense to me. Another thing is that people war less or not at all because they dont want to go without heroes, or they dont up their heroes to be able to fully participate in the wars ( yes you can be good without heroes also but its allways better if u have it and dont need to use it than needing it and not being able to use it) . Its ♥♥ that you can't use them to attack if upgrading, but they will still defend.

am i missing something? heroes are usable (for defence) during war. I get annoyed along with the rest to put my hero down for several days when upgrading but it adds to the excitement when they are finally finished and have a new lvl of thier special power or a little more kick assery!

it comes down to this.. if heroes affect matchmaking and how clans get matched up, how is it fair that they can't always be used an an asset.
I understand heroes not being allowed to be used in normal play, just like upgrading buildings usually aren't useable, but war is a different story.
The only reason Supercell doesn't do this is for money. They want more money from people who gem heroes for war. Simple as that. They know it makes sense.

I totally agree, at th7 it's not too much of an issue, but at th9 and 10 it's a big issue. Many attack strats (if not all) use the heroes, sometimes to help strengthen the offensive towards say the town hall, and sometimes as a cleanup.
Its really tough to disagree with any of the logic expressed here. Especially the first point about how they will still count in matchmaking. That speaks to a double standard. If SC can't make them part of the war for some reason then they should be totally NOT part of the war including the matchmaking. One or the other, all in or completely out.Quote:

It only makes sense since all other structures are available during cw. So, yes they should be available only for cw.

i had not found this thread yet but suggested the exact same so cant agree more with it.
We should be able to use heroes in war when they are upgrading, because they are available in defence in CW, so why not in attack during CW?
And btw, SuperCell can still get a lot of money from gems when they don't allow heroes to be used in normal raiding when they are upgrading!
(I don't know how hard it is to program it, but it should be a nice addition to the game :D)

This really shouldn't be difficult from a coding perspective,

-->Add equivalent level heroes to your available troops;
How simple is that? Heroes work on war defense for goodness sake. Sadly I doubt this will ever be implemented because of the amount of money it makes SC. Bit like the builder time lag bug..... Pretty convenient that most of the unfixed bugs make money isn't it :p

This should really be implemented, specially due to the way the game is evolving, lets make all happy by using heroes in war and improving them during normal game.
To those who thinks that this would be impossible because SC wants to earn more money by ppl who are gemming to get both heroes available; I'd like to answer them that ppl who uses gems doesn't care at all, they will buy probably gems enought to get the heroes to 40 asap.
Make this game possible to be played to ppl who don't have plenty of money to spend!
I'm only TH lvl 8 so I didn't have a problem with this yet. It only 1 and a half day to upgrade my barbarian king. I hope they implement this before my king is high level.

It is fixed. Anybody can now opt-out until their hero is done. No more wars without heros unless you want to. Fixed. Besides, if you take the time to read SC's replies to this topic they were fairly clear that it was NOT a simple fix.Quote:

Seems like a no brainer, at least to any TH9 or TH10 who plays frequently and has one hero upgrading most of the time.
EDIT: Reducing max. hero upgrade time to 6 days could also be helpful
