While this would be amazing I highly doubt it will happen. I think we are lucky just to have our heroes always available for defense during war. I'm sure SC makes a huge profit from people gemming their heroes for war attacks. This change would be against SC's financial interests.

For some reason, you can still use one hero, if you are upgrading one hero each time, However firepower will decrease quite significant, especially if you are trying to 3 star a TH9 or 2 star mid-end TH10. Handicaps might be good for some cases, where matchmaking now arent that precise, whilist sometimes we can still meet clans, which are overpowered. Anyway this is fair i guess.

Not being able to use my AQ/BK during clan wars is the exact reason why they are currently stalled in leveling. I don't mind not being able to use them in normal game, since i can live raiding without them, but in clan wars they are such a crucial troop to properly attack a TH9/10. I absolutely endorse the ability to use the AQ/BK during war.

If you think about it, if you time your attack and upgrade, at most, you would only need to gem 3 days consistently and have both heroes available in every war.
You can sign this thing all yall want, this aspect of the game makes them a pretty penny. They aren't gonna change this.

A part of me wishes they didn't make defenses available either, then we wouldn't have this argument.
This is a freemium game based on micro transactions to have items available to you faster and/or instantly. if you don't pay, you have to wait for the upgrade. If you don't pay, you have to go without that certain item for much longer.
Then you complain because you have to spend money to have something instantly available?

I'm an old school gamer who has the patients to grind. I understand the concept of pay or grind. I pay a little here and there if I feel the need, but for the most part I grind. If you don't want to spend money AND you don't want to grind, then you are playing the wrong game....
thats like making a petition for people to sign if they want 200 free gems every season. What player wouldn't want that? You can get 1kk signatures, won't change Supercells mind. This makes them too much money for them to change.

Similar ar to this idea. Who wouldn't want heroes available without gemming? But many many people gem their heroes in order to have them for war. This is money for supercell.

Yeah it sucks I have lvl30 heroes and it felt like having one hand tied behind my back sometimes. But it doesn't make sense from a commercial point of view as SC will lose on gem sales, but more importantly it doesn't make sense from a gameplay point of view as other offense isn't suddenly available for wars. I don't think they will allow such a contradiction so easily, and there's no way they will let you train troops without barracks.Quote:

why not make the available, i mean after all you do use them in matchmaking when they are upgrading. Hmmm, that would result in a llllllllloooooooootttttttt of gems not being purchased. Once again SC made a brilliant move adding something we asked for (clan wars) and turns it into even more money in their pocket. We can hope but it's never going to happen:-(

What's the point of putting all that effort into upgrading the heroes to a high level if you can only use them in war every other week?
Heroes laborotory with 4 lvl upgrade.
1-10 hero level = 1 lvl lab (1000 DE)
11-20 hero level = 2 lvl lab (5000 DE)
21-30 hero lab = 3 lvl lab (10000 DE)
31-40 hero lab = 4 lvl lab (50000 DE)
Hero can be used when it's upgrading.
If you want to upgrade hero to 40 lvl from 15 lvl = you have not to use it for a half of year. it's very bad expirience.

Everyone is missing the fact that the game is developed around the notion of generating revenue through the establishment of gem incentive items. Supercell has intentionally made it that players go long periods without the most powerful troops in the game (heroes) in order to make us feel the intense desire to gem them. I have witnessed a lot of clan mates start gemming after Clan Wars was released, in an effort to not show poor performances in front of their fellow clan mates. It is a brilliant platform and has been very profitable for them. Requesting no build times is ridiculous and shouldn't happen. However, I am completely aware of the large disadvantage that people are at when going into war without their heroes. The fact that heroes count towards your rank as well, but that you aren't able to use them is another factor. In an effort to meet the community in the middle, Supercell could enable the use of heroes in war attacks, despite being in the middle of an upgrade. This would solve the war problem while still keeping the incentive too gem for personal raids and defences. Although, without knowing the statistics, the community is likely requesting a very large adjustment that would have a big hit on gem usage.
Right now the complaints are about Heroes, but next time it will be something else related to time or handicaps. Supercell is intentionally making us all want something. Stop looking at everything as entitlement, but rather a game that requires disciplined attention and patience to succeed. People download this game and then in 5 seconds start requesting reduced build times, the sharing of resources, free gems, etc... Wake up.

Greed will hurt Supercell in the long term future if they don't start listening to their loyal customers. This is a simple request for their biggest feature that we want to enjoy.
