i've spent about 2000 gems to rush my heroes from level 8-12 for war. That's about $20. To me if it's worth it to you, you'd spend that money. I always attack last in war because i have the strongest troops in my clan. And 3 out of the last four wars we've won by 1-2 stars..and those were from my last minute attacks (yup gem boost or immediate gem if needed) on high level TH9's (some premie Th10's). To me that's worth winning the war loot for your clanmates and just overall good feeling of the win.
Now i'm not the only one who does this.
We can all sign the petition, but at least one of us should provide a compromise to not sacrifice profit margin. For example, if heroes are used (in war) while upgrading, they go to sleep on defense (in war). You need to GEM them ready or boost, or just not allow them at all on defense. Stars matter, and that would be a trade-off.
