Will likely never happen, probably difficult to program it to only be available for war attack and not raiding, but would still be a good feature.

This really cripples clans who have th9's or up that upgrade a hero. Any good clans will make you opt out if you don't have both of your Heroes.

Useage of heroes in war
I personally hate the fact that they are considering making heroes useable while upgrading in war. I've spend a few hundred dollars gemming mine to use for war and i am 2 days from th10 and i have a lvl30 queen and a lvl29 king. I've been in plenty of wars without my royals and i made due. i like that people don't sacrifice being a royal down to get them stronger. most wars our enemies have lvl10-15 heroes.
In reality i don't see this happening. Supercell says they make a majority of their money from people gemming roylas to use for war. just my 2 sense

Really have to plan for clan wars . Please make them available only during clan wars if not possible in farming loot or defense..

I don't know why this never happened from the start of Clan Wars!
A new defense being built is active in war or one that is being upgraded BUT not heroes!!!
