Hi Daniel, I was wheating over about 3 days last week and rarely got an axe. It was mostly saws, so maybe you are seeing the update coming into play. I hope its the same for us all. :)
Yes. I went from 0 to 35 in a day. Got them from all sorts of places in the game. I'm cool with it though. Hope it stays.
I am definitely getting more axes, as promised.
But now I'm running out of saws.
I haven't gotten too much axes... I'm still stuck at 3 since yesterday.
But, even if I suddenly went to 30+, I wouldn't step up honey production... or candles for that matter.
the axe drop rate wasn't the problem. The problem is the short live of the nectar bush, once SC fix them, they can revert the drop rates and I can return to gather nectar related products. In the meantime, bee's will be on strike.
I am seeing more axes and totally getting even more saws than ever too. Groovy :)
I have hardly had any axes since the update 😥. My farm is a mess. I have bushes hidden everywhere and hardly any hiding places left. I haven't had any axes for my berries either so my raspberry and blackberry patches are looking a mess too. I have seen on other forums people say don't collect the honeycombs but the idea of the game is to run a farm. If you don't produce the goods - you don't progress!
I have tried 'wheating' and this has produced lots and lots of screws but hardly any axes!! In the next update I hope we all get the axes. I used my tickets to buy a 'tool' box which had an option of 4 axes. I thought 'surely' I'll get some here after the so called 'tweak' but - no, I got TNT to add to the other dozen or so that had fallen during the wheating.
MORE AXES FOR EVERYONE PLEASE!!!
Sadly, I haven't seen more axes at my place. Maybe they made a wrong turn and landed at the farms of those who notice more are dropping. :p
Yep. I'm getting more.
Just enough that I can take care of my nectar bushes and whatever coffee and Berry bushes need to get w♥♥♥♥ed. :-)
my bees are still going strong.
i sold off 20 saws just today because I get them often enough that I don't feel I need to hoard them and I prefer the barn space.
Still have a stockpile of dead bushes at the top of my farm from before the update so I'm waiting to see if I can whittle them down without Toms help.
Nope. No change to the axes on my farm - the drop rate is as pitiful as it was before. I am getting more saws though.
looks like the change is not universal! i wonder if SC will do further tweaks to improve things.
We are seeing a slight improvement in the axe drops -- and by that I mean I get 3 a day instead if 3 in 3 days. Thus is STILL not enough to keep up w nectar bushes so bees are shut down to 1-2 harvests a day.
I think a got about 30 since the update.
Which is about 5 times more compared to prior to update.
My axe inventory is holding steady at 29-32 since the update. This is a big improvement. I had just stocked up using Tom right before the update, so I had about 30.
I have three hives, and my bees have been working full time. I still have 20 hours to wait until my candlemaker is in production, but I've been selling all the beeswax I can make to townies. (They seem to be doing a lot of waxing in the spa.:p)
I've had several boat orders (one a double-product order) for coffee items, and the townies are also ordering a lot of juice and berries, so coffee bushes and berry bushes have been dropping like nectar bushes. My axe supply is keeping up!! No dead brushpile!
So, for my farm, the rise in number of axes dropping is significant. As I've said in another post, I don't know if the fact that axes top my barn inventory affects that; it certainly affects how often the little people ask for them!! I'd rather they ordered eggs and milk!!
I agree that the fundamental problem is the nectar bushes. If the frequency of drops per product is still the same as before, more axes means fewer expansion materials dropping like manna from heaven.
I clearly can feel the rise of droprates for axes :o
Thanks supercell for listening to your Players and keep up the good work
I splashed out a whole 5 gift cards on the mystery toolbox this morning and got 4 axes for my trouble, so that may be something you could consider. Maybe its not so bad getting nothing but mystery toolboxes rather than windmill packages after all! :)
I am seeing more axes as well.
I am seeing more axes but my saw drop rate has plummeted. I wheat daily and usually have 20+ saws a day that I help share with family and nbrs.
I also am a fruit farmer and would constantly sell all fruits from bushes and trees.. since the update of bees I could only sell tree fruit due to lack of axes.
Now I can't even keep up with my own fruit needs, and when neighbors ask for fruit I feel bad having to limit what I can sell them. I know they look at my farm and wonder if I'm just being greedy! But if I pick fruit my trees will wither and die. :/
I'm thinking that while they did raise axes they lowed saws.. it really is not fun having to adjust my game for every update.. before the beez I was doing just fine.. and now I feel different about my farm as its quickly becoming more of a daily chore than the fun game I used to play..
has anyone calculated how many axes you'll need to get to the 4th hive? im currently at 132,970/400,000. divide that by 500 (per nectar bush) and i still need another 534 axes
I remember calculating and if I recall correctly 888 was the number. From 0 to 4th hive.
Yup you're at 39.9%
I'm getting axes as rarely as always, so no change here.
I noticed a big change and starting to get more axes. Thank you, SC!! :)
I'm seeing an increase in axes, and I haven't noticed the saw rate dropping....I am still getting more saws than axes when wheating....I did get a couple axes from the town folk before I shut down my production to them and started to sell thru RSS to build up some money. I'd like to see a few more axes out of wheating though.
I hired tom for axes only..down from 120 to 60 in no time..at this rate I will be out of axes in one more week :(
When I first installed the update, I didn't notice a difference. But recently, I've seen a difference in the drop rate. A good difference, of course. Still not enough axes to chop down all 30 (approximately) of my nectar bushes yet. They built up for quite awhile before the update. But regardless, I'm still really happy over the very noticeable difference in the drop rate of the axes! My nectar bushes are now getting chopped down a lot faster thanks to more axes. Thanks SC, this update is awesome and very appreciated! :)
Has anyone else noticed any difference in a drop rate of other items? Maybe it's just me, but the past 4 days or so, I've been getting a few more barn, silo and land expansion items. This is something I'm VERY happy about as I've struggled with bolts, screws, marker stakes and mallets. And while I'm not getting piles of hundreds of these rare items, now I seem to be getting them at a more steady pace which is nice. :D
I got 3 axes today, 2 from my animals and 1 from harvesting...yay!:)
My ax drop rate is WAY down, which is why I visited the forum -- I'm literally scrambling to find them, when I used to have plenty on hand. Now my farm has quite a few dead bushes stashed around, waiting on axes to turn up. I haven't noticed a change in saw drops. People in town are all needing bee related products, so it's becoming a bit of an issue clearing out visitor slots, especially since there doesn't appear to be a way to cancel a visit once you've sent them to a vendor. I think the update needs a few more tweaks
You actually can send a visitor away after you have sent them to a shop. It starts at (I think) level 3 in town. There is a little round arrow below the visitor's order like you have to go to a second page on the machine products. Tap that circular arrow and it will take you to an icon with a person and a train. That sends your visitor back to the train rather than filling the order.
