Agreed, I don't advertise myself unless I need to clear out my shop quick but personally I'd like to know which follower stopped by (who revived by tree and who enjoyed the berries from my stand) It just makes me smile to know which neighbor stopped by and I enjoy seeing their avatar. (Which is why I posted this thread) and then I would know if its a random gingerbread man, or a follower or someone I have followed but there's no way to distinguish who's who. At least if my neighbor doesn't have a GC pic I know their game name and even if their sad gingerbread head is there I know it's them and I smile... :p Maybe I'm just silly to smile at all... :D:o:):rolleyes: But I can't help myself!

Isn't it about time that this problem of people turning up at the roadside shop without the goods being advertised is fixed? I just loaded my shop, unchecked the green advertising tick each time, and within seconds the whole lot was grabbed by an unknown. What is the point of having friends if they don't get a chance to purchase the goods that I am selling. Sadly, if this problem continues I will quit Hayday as this bug is defeating the object of the game. The lack of advice given by SC in this instance makes me think that they have no intention of sorting it out.

Yes, I have indeed noticed an increase in followers in the last few weeks. I have gone from about maybe 20 to 60!

Amazing since I have hardly placed ads. I just keep getting more.

Yes indeed, whyyyy are weeee waaaiting? It would be nice to at least get some feedback from SC.

I know what you mean, it's nice to give a face to people, and I smile as well, oh check that out - they must've felt like some cake, my three little piggies - flap them ears you, etc etc. :D

Good thread btw, and the point is you can put up a picture of anything, it's not difficult - just have a picture! :p
(and lol that Aristo also thought of potato heads as Terrence and Philip, that's what came to my mind too)

Whoa, really? And that's just since the up date?

I've had a slight increase, but I do advertize as well so it's hard to say.

I so agree with you. I prefer that 'strangers' don't get things I make for my friends. I wish this could be fixed.

Yes, that increase is just since the last update ... Just got another follower Without advertising! .. I'm now up to 62

I might add that most of them are under level 20 players who find my $1 wheat an attractive option. How on earth are the low level players Without boat ramps (!) finding me through the leaderboards????

Most definitely advertisements are being put in without my permission.

Have closed my shop in the hope some followers will drop off. The anonymity of most followers irks me as I really feel it has always encouraged shabby behaviour ...but that's just been my exp long before these updates. I stupidly tried to remove them before I realised they can still see me! So my follower number is currently unknown...deleted ones don't show on stats. Tried the B&E baits only sales at one point but didn't put them off one bit...s'why I closed up totally...might never open again if the game isn't fixed...can still help nbrs and sell to board orders and gate visitors so not impeding any progress it seems as just turned 81. Would love another Aussie nbr Stevie but with an empty shop this isn't the time to ask you LOL!

I couldn't agree with you more about the anonymity of followers encouraging shabby behaviour. It certainly lends itself to that! But my long standing followers are so great ... They fill crates for me all the time and have good stuff in their shops! In fact, I find waay more goods in my followers stores than I do in my neighbours stores most of the time. Of course I check my neighbours first but it's always how it works out. My latest bunch of followers are all level under 20 as I said before and most of them hardly play.

Congratulations on turning level 81! Would totally love another Aussie neighbour! Even one without a stall! Please add me :)

I just throw stuff in my stall now, knowing full well that it's going into the Bermuda triangle. Im kinda interested to see how many more followers I can get Without advertising!

Aha! but theoretically these youngsters (level wise) might sneak onto a paper-add farm and go out and check the leaderboard and find you there! Except... it only has the top 200 players :rolleyes: Maybe one of the two hundred is your friend and then... no, nothing, nope, doesn't work. Maybe your cheap wheat is a trigger too like expansion items :D
