Elixir profit after research

So let's say you're upgrading mages from level 3 to 4. 3's cost 2500 and 4's cost 3000.

If you queue level 3 mages for 2500 a unit in barracks when camps are full and wait until research is complete, do you get 3000 back from the level 4 mages when you remove them from queue? Or 2500 again instead?

Cause I would make a good amount of profit after each unit upgrade. :o

Yes, it was best to do with wb'ers

u get 3k back for each, whenever one of my troops is about to finish upgrading, i always get my army camps full of my regular army, and then put LOADS of the troops im about to finish upgrading to train, and when research is 0ver i remove all of the troops and i get TONS of elixir
