Absolutely agree with Lady Dawn. That's how it should be.
I'd guess that they weren't really planning whatever happened this time. I bet the Halloween update was supposed to roll out with the beeswax/candle stuff, if not earlier, but something went wrong. They're fixing an unexpected problem.
But it surely it can't be too hard to put the decorations in the store early. They pulled the summer stuff already, so changing what's on the store doesn't seem like a big deal.
I wasn't playing this time last year but I did get the accidental release of Halloween. I can't wait for it but as some have said not every country celebrates it. The same as thanksgiving. We all need to be patient and respect the balance SC is trying to do for all around the world playing. I think the decorations should have come out earlier but I am happy to wait. From Nicks post I interpret that it will occur on our farms with no update being required! While the fall update is out and looks great we are in spring heading into summer but that's ok by me gives me something different to think about. When it's 100+ degrees out at least I can look at Hay Day and cool down mentally. This is a game and the beauty is in the eye of the beholder!!
100% agree with you LadyDawnD....ive benn sooo excited to decorate for Halloween...I just started this time last year so I didnt have much for decorations. BUT it's getting too close to end of season for me. I'm one of those "Christmas season starts Nov 1St" kind of people!! I don't want to put the energy into a total redec for a week or less!! And since there aren't any "Fall" themed decs really, I know once Nov 1st hits I'll want to Christmas up my farm!!
So if Halloween themed decs would have been available earlier, I would have spent diamonds on those AND Christmas ones. Now, I'll probably just wait for Christmas ones.
I suspect that Lady Dawn speaks for the vast majority of farmers--not just all of us vocal characters who show up in the forums waving pitchforks (not just our friend PITCHFORK) and those beautiful much-prized axes.
I am in 100% agreement with Lady Dawn's description of how "seasons" should be rolled out. The entire natural world responds to the vernal and autumnal equinoxes and the winter and summer solstices. Our little Hay Day world is moving in the direction of separating "seasons" from "holidays" which I applaud.
However, I support having holiday decorations available early for purchase by those that want the most from their holiday. Non-holiday-oriented seasonal decorations would be very nice, too. Lots of us who might not buy holiday decorations would buy them.
Here's a toast to LadyDawn!!!!
