Unlimited Mail for the Leader

It doesn't happen- but my point is, is that some leaders may do this.

There would be a 1 hour cooldown firethief and if their are bad leaders people would leave that clan.

I tell you that there is a limit because having no limit would result in issues and you take that to assume I somehow don't understand the value of mail.

As to the limits I'm referring to, every single thing in the game has a limit. There have been no features implemented whatsoever that allow a completely unbounded limit on the the number of things the game has to keep track of.

The attack logs are limited. The replays are limited. The numbers for achievements are limited. The number of people in a clan are limited. The number of characters in the clan description are limited. Etc...etc...

All of this is deliberate because it ensures that they can allocate resources solely based on the number of players. They know if they have X number of players, that they can only consume Y amount of resources rather it be network bandwidth, cpu, disk storage, etc.

SC has to be very careful that they add no features that would permit a group of players to organize around and exploit to take down the game. Clan mail is no exception. Now it could be the limits could be reduced. However unlimited anything is not going to happen.

No. How would you like it if your clan messages are BOMBARDED with mail. I think though, they can reduce the period to send mail again to 6 hours for leaders.

Other than the spam issue, the reason there is such a long cooldown may be due to server overload when leaders start sending heaps of messages in quick succession, these messages are passed through the server with push notifications and all that.

I'm co-leader in a clan for already more than an half year and I disagree with it. With teamwork and close contact, you can also get your co's/leader so far to send a mail if you have a cooldown. I don't like the idea of unlimited mails for the leader, a clanmail gives an notification on the phone and should be only used when it is really needed.

Teamwork is the thing, if you really feel like that, than it is maybe smart to gather some good co's who are willing to help you around to lead the clan..;)

Or we could just have a clan forum. that could solve mail problems.
