clan leader problems

My clan leader is a mid th9 with both x-bows. His defense is great but he refuses to point his x-bows up, many people try to drag raid him in war but gets nothing more than a one star, there are to many close calls to where his x-bows could have cleaned up remaining troops,.He also prefers wizards and archers over a dragon in war cc, i request for drags in my war cc but never get one. The clan is amazing, we have about an 13 war win streak and a total of 34 wins so far. Am i wrong about the X-bows?,and what do u prefer in your war cc?

My favorite thing about xbows is their tremendous range. There is nothing wrong with keeping your xbows pointed down during clan wars. It all depends on your base design.

Insisting on a drag in the War CC xD
You must be new to this...
Witches/Wizards in the CC are top. He knows best.

In the real game... If I set my x bows to ground only I get balloonioned. If I set them to air & ground.... its very rare.

I decided to set mine to air and ground in clan wars as people try to hog my base .... and my base can generally withstand hog attacks

Your leader seems to have a base that will withstand an air attack - but ground could be his weakness. Hence the x bows being set to ground.

I think that all bases should be one starred in Clan Wars. its the second and importantly the 3rd star that leads to problems :)

im afraid I don't see the problem...

Everyone wants to run everyone else's account. Run your own account as this will make you the most valuable clan member.

It's not your account, and more then that it's his clan. If you're winning wars then stop letting something irrelevant bother you. I would even suggest asking why he has them set to ground, probably a valid reason.

Only problem I see with your clan leader is that he hasn't kicked you from the clan yet. :P

Kudos to your leader. You've made the suggestion, that's fine, but your leader has more willpower than me if you're still in the clan whining about him/her not listening to your (probably bad) suggestion.

If he starts getting defeated for more than one star by air attacks, he'll probably change the X-Bows to target air. Until then, no need to try and fix what is already working.

1.) Pointing your xbows up is only good against loonion attacks. I dont think that are many loonion attacks in cw. Maybe with lavahounds, but then the xbows will not help very much anyway. An xbow pointing up is not much more then an archer Tower.

2.) Dragons are expensive and are only better against Dragon attacks. I only fill them in for the th7s and low th8s. Mid to high th8s have to solve this Problem with better air defense (upgrading and putting it in). For all other attacks (hogs/giants/gowipe) wizards are much better. The only question is with what you Combine the wizards (barbarians, archers, valkyries or witches are an Option).

3.) I also do not care what the Players have requested for their clan Castle because I know much better what troops should be used after watching the last replays for each base than a Player with th6 or lower who requests giants in his warbase. I also do not donate Dragons for Support troops, if it is a ground attack and high level mages/giants/hogs (in some cases balloons) make much more sense.

Some times I purposely point mine down to "invite" dragon raids and make my base so that dragons can only 1 star it. It wastes a lot of attacks on the other team and it's a great "decoy" strategy. I don't see a problem with it.

Xbow direction, as has been stated by others, depends on base design.

Just to be clear, you think he should change it because people almost get a two star? Almost is another way of saying they didn't. So what's the problem?

CC drags are easy to kill. A few well-placed archers, wizards, or even better, minions, will take it down in seconds.

Wizards and archers are way better than drags for defense.

Well if he is being attacke by drags a lot then yeah, he should put i to air.

But wizards are better than drags in clan war because they attack slightly more often and more damage and you can have more of them. Unless he keeps it in the corner which he shouldnt.

After reading the op several times, I fail to see any problem, other than the leader being slightly too tolerant of noobs.......


You say he refuses to point his x-bows up --- Have you asked him why he prefers them down? Did he give a good reason?


Also regards cc troops for defense - whizz/witch/archer is usually better - again have you asked? did he have a reason....
