Almost TH8, what first?

I upgraded my elixir storage to 5 at first, too. But you will want to take it all the way to lvl 11 for the second PEKKA upgrade. And, once you hit storage lvl 8, which holds 250 000 elixir, raids will be able to loot it for the max amount (67k with three storages) so you might as well take it all the way to lvl 11. personally, i've been swimming in elixir -- i've not farmed for it all and have been focusing on farming gold, yet i've always been able to keep up with my lab upgrades.

Another way to think about this is TTK (Time to Kill). It will take a Wizard Tower 2 shots to kill 30 lvl4-5 goblins, 30 shots from a cannon or archer tower. But duly noted, thanks again. ;)

Right, but lvl 4,5 and 6 wiz towers all take 2 shots to kill 30 lvl 4/5 goblins. Which is why I am going to upgrade the third wiz tower to four and then upgrade the point defense.

Also a good point. I must say my biggest problem has been archers, not really goblins. I might end up doing point defense in-between anyway, the amount of Gold required is quite hectic... :o

Things still going according to plan and on schedule for the next upgrades tonight - DE Drill lvl3 and Wizard Tower lvl4. I ended up gemming the last 2 days of the lab upgrade, like someone suggested.

I'm currently running Junliang's farming setup, with 4 splash towers upgrading at once - 3 wizard towers and 1 mortar. Last 7 gold walls will all be pink tonight and start getting the new 50 to purple...

I've only had one serious attack. Not to bad defending with only 1 mortar, the other had a bad case of lightning damage... :) He only ended up getting 2.5 protected storages - revenge will be sweet when the time is right. :) He also got lucky as the previous guy emptied out my clan castle, would have been an entirely different story then.

My two week TH8 anniversary was yesterday, everything still going according to plan. I have not had a serious attack since all my mortars maxed out, even while I was ~1650 trophies. All my walls went purple yesterday and started with my skull walls... :o

I please need some advice on what to do with builder 3 later today - should I rather start upgrading my gold and elixir storages (they both lvl1) or continue with the Archer Tower lvl7 upgrade? Any other advice also welcome of course, thanks in advance!

I actually abandoned this thread as I saw no interest. :) Glad you enjoying it.

Just because you asked so nicely, a quick update. ;)

Changed my layout to Pingfao's TH8 farming layout, skull walls started but due to work commitments it's slipped a little the last couple of days.

No upgrades have slipped though and stil going to plan - maxing out defenses asap is my mission (splash first, and done), so I can start focusing on gold for walls more. Tesla's are a real pain..... I hope they change their long upgrade times in an update sometime!!

Just a note: I would not recommend using this upgrade plan if you don't like wasting resources. I've wasted a LOT of elixir as I'm always maxed out - spent 1mil on Elixir yesterday for dragon donations.

I just started the series as I saw a lot of people were getting frustrated without updated strategies to beat the goblin missions, never thought I would get this many hits. Anyway, I have quite a few ideas of videos I want to do, just going hectic busy at work at the moment. I will start uploading more content as soon as I can.
