Dante's Barch To Champion/Farming Guide, Everyone Can Become A Champ!
Hi there fellow Clashers!
My IGN is Dante of Crucible Lust.
I'm almost a maxed out TH10 with the exception of AT, Walls (currently level 9) and heros (BK20 AQ25)
So today we are going to talk about barching. And more specifically barching to champion.
This post is made not in order to show that you can push very very high with barch, but show you that champ can be achieved with a low and affordable cost to everyone.
I have pushed to champ 3 times (failed once as TH9) , my second successful push was barching (level 6) up to 2900 and GoWiPe to champ from there to 3221 which was very very elixir intensive and time consuming due to having to stay online and not getting attacked.
So lets get down to business:
What is barching?
Barching is an acronym for Barbarians an Archers. Which are a tier 1 troops.
Max level of barch has been introduced on the last content update- Might Level 7!
Why Barching?
First of all I would like to say that i'm a farmer by heart!
I don't care about cups unless the clan is pushing (which is done usually once every few months) and I am always willing to sacrifice a few cups in a trade for some good loot.
With that said, i've decided to push to champ league and try to farm up there including to massive loot bonus from winning which is 120k/120k/800.
Since the heroes change (not chasing Troops) and the introduction of level 7 Arch & barb, Barching became really really powerful.
Troop Composition:
I like to use 100 Barbarians and 140 Archers. Totaling 76k lix.
Spells- I like to carry 4 Light and 1 Rage. Totaling 126k lix
The rage is there in order to boost heroes and cc in case of a % emergency or a big loot potential deeper than the barch can get.
Pros:
- Very fast training time! 22 mins 55 sec training army time and a whopping ~6 mins while boosted!
Meaning you can raid constantly while boosted (assuming you don't have to wait to heroes/spells/cc) - Very cheap army comp. That in the long run will yield amazing loot results for you farmers.
During the season i've made over 200 attacks netting ~350k de.
Cons:
1. Can't raid every base. Patience is a must when searching a base (~30-50 nexts)
- Low cup gain each win.
- A loss (Which will happen not matter how good of a barcher you are) will set you back 4-5 raids that won.
Bases to attack:
You are aiming for bases that have a lot of buildings outside of a wall.
As a thumb rule, search for bases with all mines, pumps, drills, camps, huts, de racks and lix racks outside.
While it sounds a lot, there are a lot of bases with all of those buildings outside.
A max TH10 has 78 bulidings in total. Which means you have to destroy 39 to get that 1 star.
14 collectors, 6 Barracks, 5 builders, 4 camps, 3 Drills,1 spell fact, 1 Lab sets you @ 34 buildings on the outside.
5 More buildings shouldn't be a problem behind the 1st layers of walls (AT, Cannons, Hero Altars).
In my next posts I will post vids of my attacks and you could see which bases you can look for.
Know your biggest enemies:
- Giant Bombs- can take away a whole group of barch and mess up your raid completely.
- Mortars- Splash damage, any mortar above level 6 can 1shot any archer level.
- Wizard Towers- Splash Damage, Level 7,8 Wizard Tower can 1shot a group of archers.
- Hidden Tesla- It's attack speed is very very fast! High level Teslas will one shot archers really fast.
- CC troops- i'm usually not bothering luring and killing them, they waste too much troops.
But some CC composition is really bad for barch. High Level Wiz/Dragon can easily take out and distarct a bunch of troops. - Heroes- High on HP and when in 2nd layer of walls distract your archers from shooting buildings while slaughtered by the defenses.
Attacking method:
- Shoot some free % buildings. Most bases have building unprotected- fight for every % you can, everything counts!
- Search for GB popular locations with a single barbarian.
- Deploy line of barbarians followed by line of archers. BE VERY QUICK on deployment, the idea is the overwhelm the defenses while creating the highest DPS possible with every troops deployed as fast as you can.
- While you deploy pay attention to the lines of troops that you've deployed, check out if theres a building with very low HP that can be killed with 2-3 troops, if so deploy them.
- As you see your'e running low on troops make a quick assessment- Can you reach 50% without using heroes/CC? If not it's better to deploy them as fast as possible while defenses are distracted.
- Collect Loot & Trophies
Final tips:
- 1. You are going to lose, even the best barcher is going to lose once in a while.
Yes, it will set u back 3-4 raids back (trophy wise). But watch the replays and try to analyze what you have done wrong.
2. your CC should be best filled with Wizards/Witches. Try not to have it full with minions since a single air bomb would take em all out. Know the troops inside your cc and how to use them well.
3. once you hit 2900- u will get attacked 30 seconds after you log out. My suggestion is to leave the TH out!
Wait! What??? leave the TH out?? i'm pushing!
Yes, you will occasionally miss a defense win, but on the other hand you will get attacked a lot by a 3800+ players that will snipe you for -1.
Those players will never lose, even to a maxed out base. So the TH out will give you some air.
4. Be patient with nexts and Heroes/Spells cooldown. Sometimes they can make or break a raid.
Final note:
I've been a part of the Crucible family ~8 months now, a member of Crucible Lust.
