Not private messaging, but the ability to leave a message/mail on someone's village

I remembered just now a game I used to play called Farmville, long ago. Any way.. there was a feature in the game that allowed you to visit a friend's farm and plant a little mailbox in which you can write them a message.

Private messaging in CoC wouldn't be convenient, so this seems like a better more reasonable idea. I also realize that this wouldn't be convenient to top world players or members of top clans because their base can be visited by anyone..

So, you can either make it optional whether or not you want to receive messages OR only be able to receive messages by people on your Game Center (or Google+). The method does not, of course, have to be exactly how I explained, but anything similar would be a fun and good addition to the game.

The messages should be censored just as they are in global chat only if messages can be sent by anyone. However, if messages are only sent by Game Center friends then i doubt there is a reason to censor your friends' messages.

As much as it would be cool to have, it would be abused more than I can probably imagine. SuperCell would never implement this it's a headache waiting to happen.

How is this NOT private messaging? You leave another player a message that only they can read... a private message.

By private messaging I mean a chat, like the style of Global and Clan chat. Sending a mail is different, and there is no reply option unless you visit the person and choose to leave a message yourself.
Please don't post hateful comments, the purpose for these ideas and threads is to improve our gaming experience. Just putting the thought out there..

That was certainly not meant to be hateful, just questioning. I do know what the purpose of these threads are :). My concern was that sending a message to someone sounds a lot like private messaging ;) Not sure if the ruled out idea of "private messaging" includes only a chat vs your idea of mail.

I think its a great idea , it would be great if members could talk privately about the clan...also if you decide to leave a clan you could tell friends where your going...since they REFUSE to add player search
