I think it would be a good idea to allow the clan leaders to choose which players in the clan go to war. Some players in the clan may want to farm at certain times, which is a hassle because they always have to leave and join back. The leaders also have to wait a while to know who wants to farm, when we could just start a war right away.
If they are farming shouldn't they have a lower trophy count then most everybody?
yes but some members just want one or two breaks from war, where they don't want to lower their trophies too much. Once they want to rejoin the war, then they would have to take a while to increase trophies. Our clan has wars one after another, so its just a big mess. They also have to let the leaders know when they want to participate in the next war. We cant just keep kicking them out and letting them back in when they want to.
Oh and also, we want to do wars with our best members only at times
The bump wasn't needed. Also this is offending for players in your clan if this feature were to be added. At the moment, all opt out related features for war are currently not going to be added for the time being.Quote:

It's a game that really adds a whole new diversity into virtual gaming for the fact it encourages team efforts to help make it more immersive than the general game. Making it a selective game with almost a roster styled addition, would ruin the concept of teamwork in the clan, and add a more competitive feel, which is only negative for a clan that wants to flourish.
We have the same problem at our clan though its never that the leaders don't want them in. Some guys just want to opt out.
A better option would be some checkbox for members so that when wars are entered they are automatically excluded. The 'not in wars' option would be visible to others so leaders know how many are available for war. It works on many levels.
farming not means have to have a low trophy, I always use barch to farm over 2800, and go for 50%, works well for me at high trophy and get the win bonus, especially well for this low loot season.Quote:

Maybe during the prep day those who don't want to join can just opt out and the game can reconfigure to add the next in line who can also opt out until the persons who actually wanna join can be in it

The status of a player is only a factor right at the time a war starts. Instead of just selecting all eligible players from the total population it will just be all eligible players from the opted in group.
---- Can even implement by leveraging the existing eligibility functionality that currently is only driven by a timer.
After that everything works the same. The list of warriors from the clan is rounded to an even 5 via the existing logic and then the matchmaking calculation takes place also using the existing logic.
A player joins a clan with his eligibility set the same way it is today. (He is in unless there is a timer)
Things that would not happen -
...A player cannot add themselves to a war after the fact. If they change their status during a war it makes no difference until the next war when that status is read at startup.
...This would not serve as a way to replace members that take off during war. if they do that then there is the same affect on the war as there is today. Unused attacks stay unused. (it will never change that this just stinks when guys pull that stunt)
Thanks for that skymage though I also disagree with the points against.
The feature would be completely player controlled and simply an 'opting out' status. When wars are entered the matchup is based on available players. Leaders would have no control over the status but of course be able to see it.
The pressure argument is moot because the same pressure can exist with the current arrangement. Leaders can force players to leave and rejoin, to opt out.
The 'all in' argument is moot when every single player wants the feature...
The full clan experience it moot because players don't even have to join a clan to play.
I hope they can see the value of something so unobtrusive.
