Being TH8 is probably the best TH to be at for loot.
Tho I'd say your base design needs work, as it would be easy for another TH8 or higher to grab those storages
Yup, I agree, you made the jump a bit early. Stay in silver 1 and gold 3 and keep farming. You are in the absolute loot sweet spot. If you hate it as a th8, you'll hate th9 and despise th10.
Place your townhall in the farthest corner of your base so you can have free shield when someone snipes it. Also stay in a lower league until you have upgraded your new defensive buildings and your farming troops. After that I suggest you stay in Gold 2 as there's good lot for TH8 at that range.

If you want to get great loot as a TH8, you need to move up. (Look up loot penalties if you don't know what I'm talking about). Atm, just deal with the bad loot and get your base up to a higher standard. The thing with rushing your base is that you're not strong enough to get to a higher league with higher TH's to raid, yet you're too high a TH to get any decent loot in your current league.Quote:

I guess my point is, try to experiment with your trophy ranges. I used to move up and down a fair bit until I got really comfortable in a specific range. I got too complacent there and didn't really think of moving up/down once that range ran dry - and I'm really glad I had people around me to make me move!

And after 2 months + a few days, i upgraded to Th9, im a nealy maxed th8, except wall lv7, and tesla lv3.
So that picture of my base is mine right now, after 2 months :rolleyes:. ( baba, arc, giant, balloon lv6, wb, goblin lv4, spell all lv3, Minon lv5. and upgrading hog lv4 :p. GG:507mil, EE:309mil, HH:332k ). As a Th9 i still can farm 6mil gold a day with barch but 1.5mil gold for today :(
Okay that is my journey and what i can remember :o
And lets me say this again. Im not here for show off my base, i just give this guy some encouragement to move on and try, and this will be the result if he continue his journey :cool:

My Bad buddy. Didn't mean to jump down your throat, thanks for clarifying. Well done haha, that is some great farming skills nice. As for OP in my opinion Gold 2 is a very great place to farm. If you don't mind to lose a bit of DE I suggest try use BAM, 6 barracks instead of 4 very fast and efficient.

You're fine. Just max your mortars and wizard towers ASAP. Adjust your trophies to find loot. You'll probably have success in gold II and gold III. Put the town hall outside for a free shield. Upgrade your barbs and archers to use barch to get loot. You're fine.
P.S. if you do quit, max your collectors and leave them outside please.

My point is to upgrade your offense first. Neglect defense if you have to just work on your elixer troop upgrades. If you see a high gold loot of course go for it but focus on elixer more.

I'm a near max th8 I farm only in gold 3. Great loot. If it's dry try playin at different times. My best play time is 4 am. I've been up and down a few leagues and it's very easy. Just put th in the open and nobody really messes with u
