Interesting League Proposal
Currently the league depends on the trophy. so at the end of the season you just need to attack once and you are back in your old league with same bonus. It lacks a competitive edge, and an incentive to work for the leagues.
I reckon there should be a reward at the end of the league season depending on which league you achieve when the season finishes. Rewards must be rewarding enough to encourage people to strive for them. Perhaps a good amount of gem ranging from 10 for lowest league to 500 for the champion league? This will help people afford their 5 builders/save up for next season to boost armies etc)
Then they should reset trophies (league points *see below*) and everyone can start again! from 0 and see how far they can get in 2 weeks! (more in line with how a league season should work)
This would create a lot of activity each season for players competing and working to be in a good league. (incentive for people to gem armies/boost barracks/spells) Competition is a good incentive and should be a nice boost for Supercell's profits as well. As people will want to boost defenses to be competitive and boost armies to gain more league points to get higher leagues.
Also this way it will not always be the same people getting the reward each season like the clan rewards now. And everyone gets a reward for achieving their current league so a sense of achievement for players from top to bottom everyone's happy right!?
Maybe you can even separate out trophies and have a new point system for the league. like League point or Clan points which count towards your league you get placed in. Which is reset once the league is over. Player matching should be based off league points as well to make it fair not off trophies which will be untouched.
