What's a good strategy for this base ? I've seen this kind of base a lot times. I hope it is not limited to full drags :p

Troops :
- Level 5 Giants, Balloons, Archers, Wizards.
- Level 4 WB, Barbs.
- Level 2 All Spells (No jump)
- Level 1 Healer, Drags + All Dark Troops. (No P.E.K.K.A)
Those bases are anti-hog/anti-drag bases. You should try Gowiwi, since you don't have pekkas to Gowipe. Those usually do great on those bases

As the above poster pointed out, Loonion can also work very well, especially vs. the first base. Actually might even offer more security than GoViz since the wiz towers, which are the biggest threat to the balloonion attack, is on the outskirts. Take those out and smooth sailing from there
I often use loonion when doong wars but not to a base with 4 ADs (second base), and I’m not sure where to start on the first base, since one of my clanmate had already tried loonion, but the balloons ended up following the rong and died without touching the center defenses. any way that I could force the balloons to head to the center directly?

You know how to run that. Use it! I'd vote after cc lure, attack from the top left... Dark barrack, then gold storage, then wiz tower. The area south of that with the spaces between the defenses look a bit like a trapped alley way. GiWiArch it up!

I have not used these in war, so no garuntees from me. I have put together a few armies to try out in multiplayer. My troops are maxed for th9, except Lvl 3 valks, but the principles are the same. They take a little bit of practice for me, but these armies can chew up maxed th8s and mid th9s... Definitely something to consider, but it's important to match the right army to the right base. These two might be a bit tricky for your first time.
So the first base is an anti-hog/loon style arrangement. The way to overcome that is set off the balloons in multiple groups.
Use balloons (or a cc with hogs) to pull the cc out and knock them out. I would try and attack from the bottom, and work my way in. 3-4 balloons on the left bottom to go for the cannon, then archer tower, the same on the bottom right for that pesky wiz tower and archer tower. Pause a moment to take a sip of coke or water, and drop 3-4 in the middle for the cannon. This last group should head in when these defenses are down, and that's when you can release the rest of your balloons. Test drop one, but if they are dropped from the bottom they should go for that bottom AD, which will help you gut the center. Rage to get them in, heal to patch them up. I like loons with heal, but use what you are comfortable with.
I hope that gets you a 2 star. If you're not feeling it, there's always mass drag (which I know you don't want lol). The giant/wiz army will work, but do not attack the exposed defenses. The trick of these bases is that the exposed defenses are trapped and stop giant armies dead cold. It's sad to watch. Like a 20% loss. Attack one of the arms, and work your way in if you go that route.

Since you bring up my thread...
Valkyrie/Hog would maul that base. Put a few Valkyries with some healers behind to distract defenses, rage Hogs through core - allover. But that is a DE intensive strategy
GiViz would maul it to. I don't think the golems would be necessary with some well timed heal spells. Giant/Healer/Valk should be effective to, since you can use the Valkyrie to blitz the centralized air defenses.
But Valkyrie strategies do require bit of practice, those red heads have short attention spans

@Nio : I’ve been reading them since it was posted. but haven’t try them yet because I don’t find that much DE to waste,and still need them to upgrades all my dark troops and my heroes. I will do once I am ready , can’t wait to experiment with those red-heads :D

I do predict her becoming more and more common. That reduction in training time is huge. Now you can use Giant/Valkyrie/Wizard as a solid 2 star, storage raiding, composition. Some boosting required but nothing unreasonable like before.
@Nio So, I started cooking the troops for about 45 minutes (Giants & Valkyries).... after almost an hour of searching a base worth to raid spending 400K golds skipping 5 - 6 inactive bases that I couldn’t pick up with 8 minutes troops (which contains 200 - 300k each + fair amount of DE) along with a base with ton of resources (Becausr the buildings on the base weren’t compacted), I failed miserably... please at least tell me that I chose the right base.. :p

I did 2 war Attacks today with giant/valk. Scored 70%+ each time but I had a few disasters practicing - in lured wizards can ruin your day or units going awol
