Anyways, always max defence first and after your defence is maxed out, upgrade your walls.
I am lvl 130, have a th lvl 10 almost maxed defence (only archer towers to compleet) and still half of my walls are lvl 7;)

Always upgrade your defensive buildings first, but always max walls after (Unless Th9) But even at th9, get them to level 9 before Th10. It'll suck, but it'll be worth it later. Because th10 loot penalty sucks
Now you can do both...

Yeah, walls are important but i believe defense are more just becuase xD Get your walls to lvl8 soon too a th9 with lvl7 walls isnt too good. Just my 2 cents :]
A lot of players keep an extra builder free to work on walls. They use the other 4 for upgrades and upgrade both walls and defensive buildings. Seems to work well for me.
Work on walls simultaneously with defense. A lot of people just start the walls at the end which is bad.
Do both at the same time :cool:
Like you need to upgrade AT to level11 ~ 4.5m , loot some more & upgrade walls what you got extra & upgrade AT as well ;) !
sir you can upgrade your walls while upgrading your mortar, wiz tower, etch.
just do this... make sure your builder will be free every 5hrs - 1day...
- everytime your builder is not available farm hard make your storage full.
- and when your builder is 1 free use your gold/elix(if lvl6 up) to upgrade walls but dont use it all to your wall..
for example you farm 1million and you want to upgrade next is cannon (200k) use your 700k to your wall and 200k to your canon.. and you still have 100k use that for searching.. repeat and repeat

I would keep a mix of short upgrades (traps/storages) and long upgrades going, so you can walls every few days.
Save 1 builder for walls while your others are busy, skull walls are easy to accomplish. Set a goal for walls everyday also. 2,4,10 depending on how much you play. it'll be worth it in the end
walls to 8, then go back to defense
With the use elixer for walls update. At Mid to late town halls you should be able to update walls like a madman while your defenses are upgrading. So as others have been saying, do both :D
Defenses for sure! If you are quite active and farming lots of gold, you may consider leaving a builder free to pour extra gold into walls when you can.Quote:
