The preparation time for clanwar is waaay too long.

8 hours sucks if it's just the leader or a few members donating maxed troops to every warbase. You really think a clan of possibly 50 can prepare for a war in 8 hours with some or half of the clan still sleeping, or working or at school? And with infinitely less time to strategize your attacks with your clan and perhaps get everyone's first attacks sorted (so someone doesn't cook up a dragon spam to see the only drag spammable base is starred) do you really think that the whole clan can fit all their attacks in time? The times are fine the way it is. If this was added, I would only be able to do 0-1 attacks each war. There should be enough time, for everyone.

That's an awful idea. Who would want to go into war when they have absolutely no idea when it would start? Good luck trying to manage a war that begins at 4am.

A responsible and respected clan leader would not initiate until his/her clan is ready and accounted for, I would make good use of this, though, I don't think it's a possibility.

In a big clan, how would he know that they are ready? Most clans aren't very organized anyways and the leader wouldn't care for the 1-2 guys who is holding 40-45 people back (not that the leader can know if all 40-45 are ready easily anyways

I think 24 hours is okay no need to change it really. I find in small clans it feels like a long painful process but in much larger clans its handy as you have to fill up the CC and sort out large scale tactics in the clan.
