Simple guide on how to "preserve" your loot
First of all, it would be recommended to know how loot is calculated, read it here

The most well-known methods
- Upgrade your defenses, most especially splash
- Leave 1 builder idle to dump resources into walls as soon as you can
- Upgrade your walls to TH level's max wall level
- Savoring your shield time
- Maximizing your online time
- Use a tried-and-tested layout, check the forums for good layouts based on your TH level http://forum.supercell.net/forumdisp...ctics-Strategy
- Leave your TH outside and FAR from your defenses, your goal is for someone to snipe your TH and give you a free shield. DONT PUT TRAPS NEAR IT AS IT MAY ♥♥♥♥ OFF PEOPLE AND MAY TRY TO RAID YOU INSTEAD! http://i.imgur.com/wtuxQRB.gif
- When you're a member of a clan, ask for "HIGH-LEVEL DEF" troops for your Clan Castle. Such as high-level archers, or if your clanmates are generous, Witches or wizards.
- Upgrade your Heroes! High level heroes can intimidate would-be attackers and may eventually leave you alone.

1. Fly below the trophy range radar

When you have lots of resources, try flying below the radar of the recommended farming range for your TH level stated in the guide above, this minimizes your chances of someone bigger than you seeing you and raiding you. Also, those who are X +/- 200 trophies from you, where X is your current trophy count, can see you.
2. Be efficient by playing better
By learning to play better, you can maximize your returns thus getting even more loot with the least amount of resources (BANG FOR THE BUCK). It's like wasting a GOWIPE army with spells to raid 200K loot. Check the forums and youtube for TONS of advise and guides by well-experienced players.
3. Dont TH snipe when you're saving resources for big upgrades

This is self-explanatory, the more people that can see you in their revenge list having big loot, the more of chances of someone raiding you.
4. Only lose cups/ trophies to those villages that are "weaker" than you

Again, this is self-explanatory. When you deliberately lose cups to be league downgraded, do it against lower TH level'd villages, or a premmie TH of the same level as yours, as you will most likely be able to defend against their revenge attackS, or better yet, they can't revenge you at all, or just resort to zapping or TH sniping you. As seen in the image above, I'm an almost maxx'ed out TH8, and the village above is a good candidate for me to lose trophies. He can try to revenge me but with an obviously weaker army, i believe he wont.
5. Buying then eventually selling decorations (national flags, statues, etc)

Think of it somehow as an investment. One flag costs 100,000 gold, you sell it at 1/10 the original price which is 10,000, but if you have excess gold and have already max storages and still plan on to continue on raiding, you can do this trick.
6. Check your revenge list

When you want to attack or get more loot and dont want to add yourself to another village's revenge list, you can check your own revenge list. From time to time you'd get lucky and catch someone who attacked you before that is also saving resources.
7. Trophy push after a big upgrade, NOT when saving resources

8. Get shielded when you're leaving for a while

If you're going for a vacation, try to get shielded and leave it as is. If the cups and/ or loot is too valuable to you, and you have the gems to spare, then go ahead and buy it.
9. Be online on weekends and certain times of specific time zones

Lots of people play during weekends and certain times of the day based on different TIMEZONES. Try to be online during these times.

In a nutshell, at EXACTLY 19 trophies, you wont get raided according to the thread starter. Though personally I havent tested this.
11. Filling your rax(es) with Wallbreakers when having a full army camp

You can hide your elixir by queuing Wall Breakers in all your barracks as seen above, as WB's are the most expensive troop when it comes to housing space- elixir ratio.
In my case, i have 4 lvl 10 raxes and lvl 5 WB's (37 wallbreakers * 3000 elixir ) * 4 barracks = 444000 elixir "hidden" which you can harvest later by cancelling. Be careful though and you may end up with an army of WALLBREAKERS!
