I'll also add...I don't think "raiders" or "stalkers" are necessarily rude or inconsiderate. Whenever the subject comes up here, someone always posts, "How do I get a stalker? I want one!" or "I don't get it. You get the coins anyway. Why does it matter who bought it?"

Obviously, many people see nothing wrong with it. I just want the ability to decide whether or not I want engage with someone who plays like that.

With flagged crates, we already have that. It's my decision whether I fill the crates or not, so it's not an imposition to flag them.

going back to OP question, I love when honey products are flagged as I and I notice quite a few people jump to fill them as they give amazing Xp points, boat points mean nothing to me.

Re other hard boats It is interesting reading as I am learning something, silly me but I thought people actually flagged crates cause they could'nt fill them themselves or would take a mega along time, I had no idea some people were sitting on a large stockpile not wanting to dip into it or trading items with it, hoping others will fill them!!! Sorry that notion staggers me.

Yes it is up to anyone to fill a boat or not but I would put this out there to people flagging boats especially when they don't need to, there are very few people who will help random strangers out with cream boats etc in the DD - what about leaving or not doing your boat and let the people who are doing their consecutive achievement get that helper instead, as it would be a shame if they miss out on it or start again as no one filled their crates because the rare helper were filling a boat that didn't need help. I only mean those who are advertising not followers, or people who help you out cause you help each other.

I have always looked at it that way, And thought most did as well re cream and other often flagged in the DD hard items.

Hmmm so if I flagged 3 cream crates while I have a huge stock of cream, what happen to my stock?

- wait till I'm tired of waiting and finally fill the crate myself
- fill other's people cream crate
- use cream to make cake/ice cream
- serve visitors in the town and get reward
- sell cream in shop
- sell to visitor in the farm

While the last 2 are unlikely to happen, the other options are still benefit for the community. Same question happened when I have a surplus of cakes/icecream and expansion item. What do I do with them if not selling/trading?

I don't see helping as a short term relationship: you fill my cheese crate today, I fill your butter crate tomorrow. Just help when you are happy to do it, the person will pay forward in another form sooner or later.

Usually, I don't care if I see boats flagged for difficult items. If I can't help, then I move on and whatever.

But if I saw that, I'd be judging the heck out of them. (Quietly. From behind my computer. Where they'd be completely unaware of it and it wouldn't impact their life at all.) Nevertheless, I'd be side-eyeing them haaaard. I mean, why not just send the cream boat away and choose another one?

When someone comes and fills the crate I know they fill because they want to do it. (If their finger slipped and they filled accidentally, good for them: lesson learned :p )

Feeling pretty good right now about my inability to help cream crates since I usually don't have enough cream to spare.

For folks that get their flagged cream boats filled, I imagine it's because they help others too, so they get help in return.

But I see a lot of cream and sugar crates that go unhelped. There are some GC friends who flag them everyday, and pretty much everyday, the boats leave with those crates empty. Maybe they don't know they can reject boats. But, for those people, wouldn't it be nicer to actually fill a boat wanting easier stuff. The boat will sit at your pier for way less time. You get a voucher. Seems like a win-win for everyone to send those boats sailing.

I have traded over 1000 dairy and sugar mill goods but I never remember having more than 20 cream on hand. Not on cream. :D
I don't have a rule like never fill my own dairy, sugar crates or something.
As I said I flag crates in a way which suits my way of playing. So it maybe 3 crates of cherry juice where the same boat asks 3 crates of goat cheese. Or it may be 3 crates of ice cream where the same boat asks for 3 crates of syrup. I flag so that I can finish the boat as fast as possible. I fill other people's dairy and sugar boats too, if it asks little amounts of it. It's very easy to find a sugar and dairy boat that needs help. I have 20 lobster skewers for weeks now, I can't get a boat on my farm or find a boat that needs help to dump them.

I expect that is true for many people, and for many of those seemingly impossible boats that make us all shake our heads and tut a bit. :)

That's cool that it works for you. And by the rules of the game, it's all fair play. :) And honestly, I don't trade. I never go in the trading threads to see that people are trading thousands of products, so what I said above is all hypothetical.

At the same time, I wouldn't be able to help my reaction... If I saw that someone had flagged a crate and - around the same time - they were trading hundreds of that very same item in the trading threads, I would be like "oh really?" :confused:

Not saying that's what you do, Myso. Maybe your trades happen at a very different time then when you're filling those crates. I was talking about the situation that DanielHan and chaosatwork described.

Yes. And I don't judge those two GC friends who flag cream and sugar crates every day, only to have them go unfilled. I dunno, maybe they're happy to keep walking that path of futility. They like having a boat docked there all day or something... But in case they're not happy with it, I wish they knew there was a better way.

Also, I brought them up as examples of crates that don't get filled. Not all crates get filled eventually.

And I definitely don't judge people who ask for help on crates, in general. Even for dairy. :) I ask for help too. And when I do help, it's because I'm happy to - especially if I get gift cards!

I ask for help on crates only on stuff I don't have. But a lot of times, there are for things that I can buy in the DD. Someone could see my requests and feel offended that I don't buy the bacon and eggs I'm asking for from the paper. And if they are bothered by it, I'd be okay with it and understand. Wouldn't change how I play, but I'd understand.

What's worse? No one helps in flagging (11 creams x 3 helps needed) 33 creams despite putting lots of ads..

I focus my efforts on dairy, sugar production and fish so I can try to fill boat orders for my friends, followers and helpers. I'm not driven to excel or compete at HayDay and am not part of a neighborhood so I might as well help others. It is interesting to interact with strangers in other parts of the world without exchanging a single word. Lately that has become my reason for playing.
