They royally screwed up the healer. I had one today where my archer queen was all alone taking NO damage and banging on a wall. The healer needs to SWITCH TARGETS when the target is at full health. In the meantime my giants died :(

I stopped using Healers at TH 6... I'm a max TH 8 and mine are still level 1.
During a clan war attack the healer just sat there and let everything die. I dont have any fancy pictures

This is a good thread to read. I often thought the Healer was overrated, and it's the one troop I've never upgraded, while most of my others are maxed. It is expensive and takes up too much camp space for the benefit it provides. Glad to hear others making a case for not using it as well.
Yerp, another member of the "never use healer" camp here. Even when I used giants back at th6, I just preferred to boost the old spell factory and fire up some heal spells. I'm a late th9 now and just finally did the level 2 healer upgrade about a week ago because I didn't have enough resources to do another one and didn't want my lab idle. They suck.
I haven't and won't upgrade healer.
Healers are not reliable due to bad AI. Also, by Th9, nobody uses healers to farm as th8 has 2 air mines while th9 has 4 air mines.
I've seen people farm me very successfully with healers. I think the main reason nobody uses them is how unreliable they are.Quote:

well healer aq combo is also good. though given their huge housing space and long training time.
