Donating resources would be a terrible feature!!! Here's why...

DONATING RESOURCES WOULD BE NOT ONLY TERRIBLE, BUT TERRIBLY UNFAIR!

To explain it in a very simple way that everyone can understand, I have chosen to use bullet points. I am not trying to be a jerk, just trying to be helpful and informative.

• Players would be able to gain unfair advantage by sending themselves massive amounts of loot from multiple accounts.
• Attachment 67835​<<<Look at all these iPads running the same app.
• During war (and in general), paying for troops would not be an issue. It may sound great to have plenty of elixir and not be set back by war dragons, but it sounds horrible when you switch "You" with "Enemy"
• There would no longer be any challenge in the game. The game is fun because it feels great when you save up that loot, and upgrade that thing. If players could use cheap shields and donate to themselves and others with a never-ending flow of resources, that wouldn't be fun at all. Not for you, not for your friends, not for your hyper intelligent game playing cat, and not for anyone.
• Everyone would have max level walls all the time everywhere at all levels. The only thing worse than having an infinite supply of resources you didn't earn and can't lose, is having an infinite supply of resources you didn't earn and can't lose that you can spend INSTANTLY.

There are plenty more reasons why resource donating shouldn't exist, but I hope these have been sufficient and clarifying. Also, sorry about the bullet points being weird. I couldn't figure out how they worked. More ideas to come!---Thrystan

Good to throw it out there. But the idea of donating loot has been ruled out for good by supercell. Never gonna happen.

To be realistic, this thread probably won't be seen by people who need to see it most because they already ignore the stickies that has capital letters. Something that slowly floats down the page over time probably won't do much better

True, But in the stickies, you have to search for ruled out ideas. Many players join the forums and then immediately request loot trading. I just try to do this so people can see it first thing. And hence, the bumping. I'm not trying to bring back dead issues, just trying to be helpful as much as I can for as long as I can.

The problem is NEW FORUM MEMBERS. And you can't teach them anything new, because it's already too late by the time they learn. And by then, a new forum noob has posted their ruled out trash, it's an endless cycle of infinite first time offenders. New people just don't read (most of them, not all). They don't notice the big "READ BEFORE POSTING" sticky, or they ignore it.

Bumping this thread won't help these people. The endless creation of additional ruled out threads will forever pollute this sub-forum. The sooner you come to terms with it, the less you'll be frustrated by it.

And as mentioned, bumping is against forum rules.

Not only would it be bad because of multiple devices, but if you're in a high level clan you could just get all the loot you wanted. :/ Unless they made it to where you can only donate to your town hall and there would be a large "exchange fee".

U tell people to follow the rule but broke it yourself by bumping thread
