This is a really well planned idea, and it would work well! But, I think you shouldn't be gaining back 400k from a Dragon raid, it just seems that you could keep attacking without losing anything! Nice idea!
It's an interesting idea, but honestly I don't know if it will help with farming and loot issue or "Fun game" in general
this suggestion improves attacking and loot of course, but will it be enough to fix loot problem? A bigger army cost a longer time to cook. To be honest, time is probably also one of the most important issue when deciding what army to farm with, because what matters are Resources per hour and not Resources per raid.. A simple example is: you can get a 200/200/2000 loot (assuming you can find that of course) quite easily with GoWi based army... but you will need 1.5 hours cooking the troops and spells.. and thus people will not really use them to farm and the wait of 1.5 hours aren't exactly a description of "Fun" for me.. (P.S: a bit extreme on using GoWi army, but you get the point right?)
I think the priority in this suggestion is to be implemented in Clan Wars. It might make clan wars much more profitable and gives incentive to do a better raid for better profit and gives an overall incentives to war. while as I said in multiplayer it will still helps, I don't think it will increase loot THAT much to the point that it will fix loot issue..
but at this point any improvements, not matter how small they are, are fine to be honest

There is one big problem with this idea, I dont know if you have thought on it. You want cheap shields to be able to protect the loot you get while building your new barch or w/e, in 20 minutes. So, like me, i dont want to be online to wait, especially not for a 3 star army that might take 1-2 hours with spells, or more.
Now imagine that this idea has been put to play. What will that do to you while you are gone from the game. It will increase the chance of you getting brutally destroyed by some random dude who runs, with this idea, only super armies. So imagine that you are at 2 million elixir/gold. The guy raiding you, lets say he is 1 th higher than you. He will get immense amounts of loot, while your defences just crumbles. You log on 1-2 hours later to see that your town and loot has been raided for great amounts. Now you really have to perform with your own army to just get back what you lost, frustration. Most attacks that 100% me when I have over 2mill elixir/gold, its hard to get that loot back with 1 raid. Also, remember that there's just a long line of players waiting to take your base down, so breaking your shield for some raid, will be even less worth it overall. This tactic depends even more than sniping, that the enemy doesnt attack your base with a huge army, since this time, they actually have even more reason to do so.
I hope you get where I am going with this. The luck involved of not getting attacked, decreases. In worst case scenarios ppl will run 0 gained loot, and in average scenarios, less loot than before. I love those cheap shields that protects my loot when i try to get 5 million of something, I bet you do to.
