New Addition to the "Player Profile"

This idea is a new addition to a Clasher's player profile. I picture it being beside the League shield on the left. The new info displayed would be... "Average Stars per War". This information would be extremely useful when recruiting, and also serves as an incentive to be active and participate during wars. Naturally, the highest this average could be is 6.0, but as this would be a cumulative statistic (meaning it is constantly changing after each war), it will eventually drop. This stat I personally would find very helpful, and I'm sure other people would as well.

Also, and thanks to JohnnyPC for suggesting this, Clashers that raid a base in a war that has already been raided get the full value added to their profile statistic, not just the make-up stars. In other words, if a clasher were to raid a two-starred base and subsequently three-star it, their stat would get the full three-star value added to it, not the one-star that they made up for.

So if I fight in a war and get 6 stars do I attack ever again? Or am I now all set to embark on a lucrative war hopping career?

If I am in a clan and we have a tough opponent where my score is at risk of getting knocked down a tick or so do I...

• Take off without doing my attacks sparing me the risk to my average?
• Hit a lower base than I should have so my personal stats are not at risk?

If I am interested in padding my personal stats should I hit the guaranteed 3 stars at the bottom instead of the target my clan needs me to?

If I see a guy with a good 5.9 or so am I looking at a good player or just someone that plays the above tricks?

Should I look at their War Hero achievement instead?

I'd agree with this idea if it averaged total stars earned versus just the stars earned for the clan. For example, if my clanmate 2 stars a base, then I 3 star it, I would want 3 stars to go toward my average, not just 1.

I'm one of my clan's higher-ups who can 3 star almost any base in the opposing clan, so with our strategy, I wait until the end of the war to attack. I spend a lot of attacks cleaning up 2nd/3rd stars where our lower guys fell short. Counting all stars would put my average close to 6.0, whereas by counting only stars earned for the clan my average would probably be like 3.0 (which would be a very poor indication of what I actually do).

If you don't use your attacks in a war, they get added to your average as two 0 point values. (This is common sense man...) And that kills your "lucrative war hopping career".

Well that depends, do you want your clan to kick you for hurting them in the war by stealing the targets needed for your clan's lesser developed players? If so, proceed.

See above and you decide.

Should I look at their War Hero achievement instead? That is always an option as well, I figured this would give recruiter's a more concise stat.

Great idea, I hadn't thought of this.

Stars per war is highly subjective to the opponents in war, how highly ranked the player is in his own clan, how good the clan is overall, how high/low the person attacks, and when the player raids (start/end of war).
To a top player in a weak clan 6 stars wouldnt take nearly as much skill as 4 stars for a normal player in a good clan.
Right now the war stars achievement is your best bet, though that is dependent on all the factors I just mentioned + how many times this person has been in war
Also, this info is useless to clans that dont war, and by requesting this to be shown, people can also request gold grab/troops donated per season.

Troops donated is already shown, and though it resets each season, the resetting is actually more useful because it shows how active a player is on a season to season basis. Also, your logic that people can request "Gold Grab" to be shown is just... no... gold grab is already shown as an achievement, and this stat is different in its very nature from the two war based achievements currently in CoC.

Next, to a recruiter, why would you complain if you got a top player who constantly earns 6-stars in wars? C'mon man, that's what a warring clan wants! To a non-warring clan, is it that hard to ignore a stat in a person's profile? Honestly, how many people look at every detail in the profile anyway? All stats are subjective man, its in their nature. To a point you just have to deal, and decide how much value you personally *cough* *cough* (subjective) put in them.

Furthermore, people can request anything to be shown... Why does this post give them special permission? Your logic is flawed.

This would be a useless statistic. If your top guy raids the bottom two, he will get six stars. If your bottom guy two stars the top two, he will only get four stars, but he is the better raider.

If your top guy raids the bottom two, kick him... He's not useful, and he won't stay in any clan very long. If your bottom guy raids the top two, and gets two stars each, kick him (because he obviously stealing easy three stars from your top guy.) What you proposed here is ridiculous. No clan will keep the first player you mentioned because he hurts them in war, and the second player type you suggested will never appear in a clan war. Clan wars actually are balanced you see.

Right, and if the top guy consistently raids the bottom two, and gets kicked by several clans, over and over, he will continue to show a six stars per war average, proving the statistic to be useless. Thanks for validating my point.

That doesn't prove the stat useless. Those who raid legitimately will be found because of this stat, and find long term or permanent clan homes quickly and easily. Those who raid as you said will be continuously kicked. What that proves is that what you suggested is a shortcoming, but does not break the idea. For the vast majority of players and clans this will help. And the people who raid like that will be continually clanless until they learn to raid correctly... Sounds to me like this stat is helping the CoC community grow and get better at raiding.

Being a TH8 raiding other TH8s is a lot easier than TH10s raiding each other. Are you saying that a maxed TH10 that averages an impressive 4 stars per war should be seen as a worse raider than a lowly TH8 who spams dragons and gets easy 3 star victories?

I disagree. It just makes those who raid low, look better, and it gives them further incentive to do so. Those with lower average stars may be attacking at the top in every war, and you'd skip over them.

No, this stat would be on a player's profile! That means other stats are right beside it! Anyone can see then that the 4-star averaging player is a TH 10, and they should be impressed by that. Also, a TH 8 willing to pay for 2 Mass Drag Armies to earn 6-stars in a war is worthy of a spot in any clan because he/she is willing to spend the loot to pull their weight and help their clan win the war. Neither of these players would be seen as a "bad" raider by the observant Clasher as they are each, in their own way, quite good. (One in skill (the TH 10) and one in principle and loyalty (the TH 8)).

Jeez, you people are far too quick to judge and be negative. Try to think positively and incorporate the entirety of the idea, not just one scenario. Thus far no one has presented a scenario where this stat is truly "bad". But keep trying, I'll just keep proving you wrong.

You have every right to disagree, I'm just telling you you're wrong. ;)

Those who raid low will never find a clan home in a decent or active clan. They will be constantly kicked until they learn to raid correctly and with the honor and challenge befitting a CoC Warrior.

Those with around a 4.5-5 (I believe you are calling 4 stars "low") star average would be exactly what you're looking for, and in your Clan Wars, if they do not perform amiably (however you define that) they are then subject to your clan's punishment (warning, kick, whatever.) However, if they do perform well, then behold, they have not been "skipped over" and have found a home in your clan.

Therefore, if the user uses the stat to its fullest and intended potential, no permanent harm can come to them or their clan. However, this stat will encourage all people in the CoC community to raid properly, lest they should end up clanless and bereft of the joys and security of Clan Life.
