The title says it all, battles should be with members around the same level as you.. I'm sick of grinding for hours to get dark elixir only to have 10 raids worth taken by a member who is 50-60 levels higher than me.. In one raid.. Trophy level attacks is not fair at all.. Fix.
Firstly. I'm guessing u would have 1-3k de usually available for looting meaning that the people you are raiding don't have enough de to be worth your time if it takes you 10 raids to make that back. And secondly the trophy system is more fair than a level matchmaking system as I know many people with weaker bases, higher and lower than me at a much higher level meaning there is more of a discrepancy in levels providing less of a fair matchmaking system.
Guys push their numbers in artificial directions all the time. If they fix one guys will just go with another.
It sounds like your base is rushed. Take some time to work on the defenses, and put your town hall outside for snipers.Quote:

Tell us your level and th. That'll speak volumes to why you are having problems. As a TH 9 i rarely find TH8 worth attacking and haven't seen a TH7 worth attacking unless i just want his trophies.
High levels aren't 100% made out of the player's strength. A lot of it comes from gardening and charity.
I rushed? You have it Backwards, That Lvl 130 has no business in my tier (Silver2) where the average Player on the List was 40-60th Lvl, and I held my ground just fine against actual Silvers. Being raided by someone who gave away Trophies to drop out of Crystal so he could be invincible in Silver is shameless.Quote:

I tire of this argument and inaccurate comparison. The only TH9-10 who are spending the troops necessary to stomp a TH7-8 into the ground are A) morons who are incapable of progressing in the game or B) barching the easiest collectors they can with the cheapest troops they can . . . EXACTLY like a TH5-6 would do. Both are targeting lazy/inactive players, not low level players. The big meanie is using the exact same tactics to get less from you and give back some of it. Because he is so much higher than you there is no chance you can revenge him . . . except that he will eventually have a boatload of DE stored up. You can zap him with impunity for 1000-2000 DE.
-Result 150 T1 troops = 100,000 loss + 1000 DE gain.

When he yells "HEY!", the 6th grader gives him a full size Snickers bar in return, but keeps the $10.
Neither is beating anybody up. It is more like pickpocketing. Keeping in mind that this is a game, and the whole point is to attack other players . . . who is more of a "bully" here, the TH6 or the TH10? The answer is neither. The phone is in your pocket all day. If you can't log in for 30 seconds every 8 hours to empty your collectors you are advertising that your loot is easily available to be taken. This is one way SC incentivizes you to be online. If you want to stop TH9-10s from effectively farming you keep your collectors empty. As for the TH9-10 who are using gowipe, all dragon attacks and other long build/expensive armies on TH7-8 . . . there is no fix for stupid. Those players will be stuck in silver forever because they don't understand the difference between net and gross earnings. If you consider these players bullies just wait for a bit because they will still be pumping your gas at the metaphorical CoC gas station while you progress past them.
The other glaring problem with the "We need to keep all those big bad TH9-10 players away from the easy loot" argument is right in the argument itself. Why should good/easy loot be reserved exclusively for TH5-8 players? Their upgrades cost far less, they loose far less when they get attacked, and they have less invested in the game. If anybody has a "need" for the easy loot it is the TH9-10's. The game slows down dramatically at TH7 and especially TH8. Upgrades take longer and there are more of them. Players don't log in as often or get burned out on the game and quit. Their bases end up floating around 1100-1500 simply because of their strength when unattended. That is free loot for everybody. Everybody includes TH9-10. The people with the 4,000,000 per segment wall upgrades and the people who can make enough on one raid to start their archer tower upgrade. If anything the big boys have more of a right to the easy loot from the lazy/inactive players than anybody. Since inactive players can't climb up into gold and crystal the big boys come down . . . then complain about zapping.

I have a competitive spirit. So the whole I'm going to lower my trophies to take less losses. Is ♥♥♥♥ to me. I go after a max level player with almost all the bells and whistled, and I break his TH and maybe 2-3 Mines/Collectors He's lost 1,000 each and a acceptable percentage of his 10-12 hours. Cause very few lower level players will be able to fully raid him. Holding the 3rd graders at arms length and letting him swing himself tired is not sporting neither is bringing a Crystal 2 army to the Silver Tier.
I'm a fighter not a thief, I gauge my opponent's village vs my forces and tactics and launch. Win or lose I stay in my actual tier. The one I battled my way into. The bully is the TH10 fighting TH6. I am on line almost 14 hours a day. 10 hours while I work, 3-5 hours after. All while doing my daily routine, helping my son with his homework, Even watching TV. I will eventually hit a wall, I'm just about there now, When it happens I will stay as high up as I can. I will grind my way up until I am top dog in my tier. I guess all my years in tournaments, and decades of gaming and raising kids have taught me a thing or two on ethical behavior. A Black Belt fighting as a Green Belt so he can win a bigger trophy is the perfect example of what the High lvl players are doing.Quote:

The simple and correct answer is that That money is for Players in that tier. Do pro basketball players play against College teams? The Tier system is meant to pit Us against our peers. I'm a gold 2 I play against Golds. There is no good reason for crystals to be in my level. Now as a Gold 1 Yes, cause there has to be some give to keep the battles flowing.Quote:

Your Logic is the "Easy way around". It shouldn't be free loot for players who already passed the tier those abandoned villages are in. As a Gold 2 I should NEVER be able to get back into a match with a Silver, no mater how bad I do in Gold. Eventually I will get traction and earn my way to the #1 spot of the tier.
Goodness I would actually be happy to see an Elo system in place here. Then Crystals would never be able to drop into Silver again. The worst they should go is Gold 1!
