First, FABULOUS game, Supercell. Totally love it!

I'm petitioning you to revisit the nectar bush axe requirements. You also really need to do an AXE DROP in the near future to help get our farms back on track. Once beautifully manicured farms are being overrun by deadwood. We all love and take pride in our farms. The dead trees are piling up everywhere, and this is a design issue in the nectar bush production.

A very few players are able to manage their honey bees and nectar bushes without need to adjust the game. However, the vast majority of players are not. Personally, I'm hiring Tom once a week now for pretty much the sole purpose of getting axes. My neighborhood players are clamor for them. Our farms are getting shabby. It's not attractive.

Please add add your comment if you want Supercell to revisit the axe/nectar bush issue. There are lots of ways they can choose to restore balance to the game. But something's got to be adjusted.

Yes, it definitely needs revision, by whatever means. I can't imagine that SC realised, even from beta testing, quite what a problem this would become and I hope that their 'can do' spirit will prevail. :)

yes this is just not right. There simply aren't enough axe drops and I am getting pretty fed up with how quickly the nectar bushes die. Sort it out SC, I'm sure it's pretty simple for you to do and why does it really need loads of us to complain about it before you do anything. Ridiculous.

I don't believe special axes or increased axes is the answer, rebalancing the nectar bushes is. I comfortably kept up with 30+ of the other bushes on my farm, but post bee update I have 40 (increasing daily) dead nectar bushes stacked in a corner of my farm with no means of getting rid of them.

Since nectar is intangible, the fact that you can harvest 250 (500 with a revive) of it is meaningless. Honeycombs are also a nearly completely useless product. I've seen a few truck orders for them, but they cannot be used to create anything other than honey unlike all the other produce. You're essentially only getting 1.5 (converted to jars of honey) truly useable items per bush, which is a terrible return rate and significantly worse than any other tree or bush.

This issue is the reason I joined forums. It's good to see fellow players also feel like this needs change. All bushes and trees get 4 life spans, so why are nectar bushes only have 2? If this is not an under calculated mistake, can you atleast post a statement explaining the reason behind this?

YES and YES!! Over the past 8 months or so that I've been playing Hay Day I have managed all of my tree/bush crops without having dead trees around my property, and without running out of saws or hatchets. Now I have 8 dead nectar bushes in a corner and only 4 axes left, and it's bugging the ♥♥♥♥ out of me. I hate seeing farms with a ton of dead things on them (usually because they blew all their saws/hatchets clearing the whole farm, which I did not do, or WAY over-planting things). Anyway, please please fix this either with a big cache of hatchets (axes?) or even better with nectar bushes that last as long as the other bushes do.

Also, what happened to my cute Halloween animal costumes? They were there for one session then they were gone?

Something needs to be done to be able to get more saws and axes. A lot of people are in the same position, being that their farm looks awful due to the amount of dead trees and bushes on their farm.

I agree that nectar bushes need to be rebalanced. Everyone in my hood is having issues.

Adding my name to the list. I haven't complained about anything on Hay Day, but this situation is silly.

:confused: Why fill our farms with wood that's dead? :rolleyes: How about a lumber mill to manufacture panels, planks, saws and axes!

Sorry, but you can add another NH to the unhappy Neighborhood communities being overrun by Dead Wood. We are all experienced players from 40s to mid 90's. All unhappy about the situation and upset that there is not being a correction.

Please let there be fun instead of frustrations. We all love the game! :o

Agreed. Axes are fine, but yield on nectar bushes seems too low. Thanks for posting this.

Regular Axe blackberry profit is 530+ and a nectar bush only yields 2.5 honey (340) so all honey products aren't very profitable in comparison. Still useful for xp, I suppose. Even 300/300 would bring it up to 465 which is at least in the ballpark.

changing the system a bit? For trees that appear in the farm since the beginning, we need axe to chop them down, but for those trees and bushes that we plant ourselves, we do not need to chop them down as after the 3rd harvest, we can ask for friends' help to water them for us. Once done, it will last for another 3 harvest and then we can ask for friends' help to water them for us and it repeats that way, so that its not necessary to fill the whole farm with trees and bushes, what do you think SC?

In order for us to get water, we need to help others with their boat orders. One order gives 1 bucket of water and 1 bucket of water allow us to help reviving 3 trees. sounds good?

If you think about, do you get a yield of 500 from your trees and bushes? Also, the trees and bushes start small, whereas, the flowers for the bees are full grown.

I understand how everyone feels about the axes. I used to have at least 40 or 50 in my barn at all times. Now I have only 4 and I'm hiding dead nectar bushes behind trees.

I do think there is a problem with the current setup. But I don't want to see more axes. Just change the nectar bushes so that they don't need as much. Maybe something like 400 or 500 before watering, and another 100 after that. Maybe a slight bump in the number of axe drops would be appropriate, but it shouldn't be the primary fix for the problem.

Something has to be done.

Yes, huge problem! everyone in our neighbourhood (including myself) are struggling with the lack of axes!

I think you could make where your friends could visit your farm, click your dead trees and bushes and they get chopped down. Same principal as reviving but we are helping keep our friends farm beautiful by getting rid of them with a single click. Max it out at 5 trees and/or bushes per farm, per friend, per day. We can get gift cards for that too.

There is a serious shortage of axes caused by the introduction of nectar bushes. This is an adjustment that needs to be corrected. I have noticed that people seem to quit playing when their farms become full of dead trees and bushes.

I'm not sure how you can tell if people have quit playing. The only way I get to visit farms and see all the dead stuff is if the farmer puts an ad in the paper and I'm heading over to "help." Obviously, those farmers are active even if their farm is 50 shades of brown.

However, to me, the more interesting question is Will something make people quit playing Hay Day?? There is a fine line between a new challenge that we all need to adapt our farming strategies to and something that is just plain discouraging on a grand enough scale to make us quit. If I were a relatively new player with a huge swath of dead trees that I had no way to get rid of without spending a bundle of real money, I might just abandon my farm like the original owner.

Hi Supercell teams, I am a daily player, I love the game and my farm. But at the moment it´s not so good looking due to all dead bushes. I just hired Tom to buy some axes. Please adjust the game so that we get a little bit more axes to keep our farms nice!

Another solution could be adding a compost pile...

Yes, I don't enjoy using Tom for axes. IF that is the case cut down the time that Tom rest. Something has to be changed because this is annoying and frustrating. I spent way too much money on this game ($200+ usd) and will quit playing if you don't fix this problem. I strongly dislike spending money on a game and I am left feeling like the company is greedy and doesn't care about the customer. I delete apps when I get to that point. Please listen to your customers.

I think a higher drop rate for axes is desirable. If this isn't possible, maybe put some time on the nectar bushes, the same way the other plants have waiting times? Just to even things out and get you time to wheat or otherwise find some other source of axes.

100% agree!! Axes are hard to come by and using them on the nectar bushes is why!!!

I get way too many saws, and not enough axes. And since the nectar bushes this problem is even worse! I can't keep up with axe demand, and am loathe to use my once-a-week Tom to get me a pile! I need him for real products of the farm.
please tweak the bushes so they don't die so quickly, or drop more axes

Yes...please help with this. You need too many of these to clean up the farm. Maybe have an option to build a tractor or something instead? Then we can uproot dead trees and bushes when needed.

This is the first time in a year and a half I have had to hire Tom strictly for axes. Having 3 hives has multiplied the problem. I am dreading having a fourth😁

Hiring Tom once a week for the sole purpose of getting axes encourages hay day to NOT fix the problem. Fixing the problem would result in you and others like you not buying as many diamonds. I am not cutting down dead nectar bushes. I am using them (instead of things like hedges and decorative flowers) as borders.

The suggestion I liked best for solving the dead nectar bush problem, was a machine that makes axes using either iron ore from the mine or iron bars. This would still be a challenge in managing resources but put it more under the farmers control.

Love the idea of axes and saws being created by a farm machine. I've go a lot of deadwood on my farm and I'm tired of looking at it.

Agree something should be done another solution ....

How about instead of dead trees being a PROBLEM, let them become a SOLUTION.
I second the idea of a lumber mill, where we put in our dead trees and USE them to make something out of them. After all, we did pay the coins for them, so why should we put effort into removing them from our farm. For example, in the mill we could get Planks, Panels, and other wood related things from wood from the trees.
For example:
Wood Panel (Needed: 3 Dead Apple Trees)
And so on... dead trees could even become tradeable.

This is a most excellent idea!

If no one has mentioned it I think adding a woodchipper to handle unwanted bushes and trees would be the best idea. It can purchased just.like any other device like the sewing machine or loom.

Just wanted to say that I noticed a difference last night and this morning. I am getting more axes in the treasure chests and random places (crop and farm animals).. Is anyone else noticing more axes?

I agree with my fellow farmers, there is definately an urgent need to address this axe shortage issue, please i urge to Supercell on behalf of all farmers, please start providing axes for money and not by using our hard earned diamonds.

The suggestions are great. I'd love to see a little beaver scurrying around the farm. Hysterical and Eco-friendly! Turning the lumber into building materials also such a winning idea!

My farm is full of dead nectar bushes but i use my axes for the berry bushes. Its ridiculous. 6 to 8 nectar bushes per day..it speaks for it self.

I want a compost machine- and the compost recycled so u can revive a bush that otherwise would be axed down.

I used to keep up with all my dead wood, with the axes I received. Now, I must expand my farm, just to hold dead wood. I'd like to make it look nice again. I don't see the issue as having to do with just the nectar bushes, although these are part of my dead wood.

I noticed, a while ago, the number of axes I was receiving had decreased (maybe replaced by saws, because I receive them all the time now). I'm sure it's hard to balance all the needs and requests, but I definitely agree we need a way to clean up the dying farms and neighborhoods.

PLEASE increase the axe drops, PLEASE !!

I did see a different solution, in the forums, a while ago - give us a wood cutter, who can cut the wood for you to sell or use on the farm to build new buildings. I'd love to be able to pay for new items with wood cuttings, rather than having spend quite so much or use diamonds. Wood cuttings could be used to decrease the amount we have to pay or at least give us more to sell, in order to earn more money to pay for them. This would be a fun and different solution to the problem.

Agreed! We all need more axes. However they want to do it, SC should provide a way for us to get more axes. I have always maintained my farm. Every time I see axes, saws, tools, etc for sale I buy them without hesitation. I had quite the stockpile until these pesky bees showed up. They've hogged all my axes, now I have none to cut down the nectar bushes or my regular berry/coffee bean bushes. Please help us SC; make some changes.

try buying some axes you don't need to have a credit card you can buy a gift card from somewhere. .. supercell has bills like everyone else

Definitely need more options for obtaining axes and saws to keep farms looking neat! I've seen a lot of clutter. I also hire Tom to keep my farm clear of "dead woods"!

This game is so addicting. I love it and try to get more ppl in it. My family interacts more by "farming". Come on people, how else can you have so much fun for FREE?? You don't HAVE to buy anything you don't want to. Perhaps SC can offer more special deals for diamonds but it has to cost them money to keep up with all the requests. There are a lot of ppl in this world who expect something more for nothing.

Make it so we can cut neighbors trees and bushes just like we water them. Then when they add a sawmill or lumberyard ..... So many other possibilities!

Sorry just posted on another thread so bare with me for repeating myself, what about a gardening service to hire once a week or give Tom the option to cut down all dead wood and bushes, I say we give him a flame thrower or a shredder!

Yeah, those of you arguing that 'SC needs to make money too' are right. They're obviously in such financial dire straits that they need to start pressuring players to buy diamonds to hire Tom by developing an imbalanced plant. Clearly their financial model has been failing them up to now. :rolleyes:

my neighborhood members have this probleme and me 2 ... plz supercell try to fix it .. u have too many ideas for this :
make a new machine to work specially for dead nectar trees .. this machine use the dead trees + (cotton or coton fabric) to produce some furniture .. its a good idea .. i have in my farm about 30-40 dead nectar trees + other berries trees what can i do ?!!!!!!!!

Please address issue supercell. Many people take pride in their farm, I have made graveyard with dead bushes...but what happens when Halloween is over?
We need more axes or you need to look into extending the life of nectar bushes. Come on help us please, people are getting fed up and will leave.

The dead wood issue has gotten worse since the honey bushes came to be. I don't like Tom and would much rather see a machine (furnace etc) to clear the dead brush and trees. That and or a forge to make axes and saws. Then give folks the ability to use them on other peoples farms. Then we can all help each other clean up the farms. IMHO

I've seen the nectar-bush issue . . . I let the bees stay attached to the tree until I need a honey-comb, which is rare. I hoard axes, just in case, and use them sparingly. At first, I loved the traveling, busy bees, but now, it's just part of the farm. . . farmers are business people. . .

I definitely feel that axes need to be more available with the addition of the bees! There are far too many dead trees taking up space! please help us out, Supercell!!

Please add add your comment if you want Supercell to revisit the axe/nectar bush issue. There are lots of ways they can choose to restore balance to the game. But something's got to be adjusted.

How about cutting down nectar bushes both with AXES & SAWS?

And even maybe set a goal to reach that privilege?

Firstly I love the bees and don't want them to go.

Now to the nectar bushes and the rate of axe usage: I agree with the other comments here that the bushes have made balancing usage of axes with procurement very difficult and it needs to be looked at. Either longer between bushes being replaced or someway to make our own tools like axes and saws.

Definitely agree we need more axes. Please fix this problem, as farms have far too much dead wood. I dont play the game when I can't get the tools I need.

I have worked really hard to obtain saws and axes by trading to keep up my farm without any dead trees or shrubs. But since the Bees came in I am having even a harder time as no one wants to trade their axes away.

On top of that!! I just lost my saws to a visitor when the game glitched and they took my hard earned saws. NOT A HAPPY HAY DAYER RIGHT NOW!!!!!

I've always been the one who could help out my neighbours with axes and saws. I still have plenty of saws, but for the first time ever, I am about to run out of axes.

Please help. The bees are great, but the lack of axes is rapidly becoming a huge problem.

Today was the first time i ran out too... I am also the one to sell axes and saws frequently and can't anymore and still without selling i ran out.

Count me in, the axes and saws are a big issue. The bushes and trees die quicker than you can replace them therefore we are running out of room to dump dead ones.

I have NEVER had an issue with ugly dead trees/bushes in the past. Now I am about to give my right arm for just 1 axe!!

Instead of releasing new items such as bees wax, please tend to the problem at hand first. It would be greatly appreciated!!

how about if these nectar bushes doesn't die, for example, when its completely harvested, it will stop producing for a day or two, then the option to water them will appear again and it can continue the cycle as usual, then it won't cause farms to stack with lots of dead trees/bushes.

Count me as another who joined the forum just because of the 'axe problem'. Please fix this.

I totally agree. I've never had a problem keeping my farm green. Since the bees moved in my farm is full of dead plants.

Please give us a solution to the problem?

I have seen some wonderful suggestions.

Long time daily player but I don't write much on the forum. This however makes me nuts! I love my farm and want to keep it green and beautiful. I can't stand all the dead bushes! I can't afford to buy diamonds so I rarely get to hire Tom. Please do something about this!

Since nectar is intangible, the fact that you can harvest 250 (500 with a revive) of it is meaningless. Honeycombs are also a nearly completely useless product. The rest of the game doesn't in any way cause you to have to completely halt production of something based on managing "scarce" resources. I understand that apparently some people feel they've been dealing with this all along in some capacity or another, but I certainly haven't. I've never had an issue managing my trees, bushes, and tools prior to this update, certainly never had to simply quit making something altogether due to it. All this is unique to the nectar bushes.

I think a new Lumber mill would be a great idea --- use the dead trees & bushes to make planks and panels, and combine with mine materials to make axes, saws, shovels, and picks

The nectar bushes was plain bad planning combined with SuperCell's greed for the money the buying of gems to use Tom would bring.

I have little hope, since SC has proved that only money speak to them when it comes to suggestions, but I agree with this petition.

I had never, EVER had any problems with bushes or trees until the bees came.

Had the same idea but you beat me to the punchline. Great way to improvise for the nectar bush.

I have managed to collect enough honey to have at least 10 in stock of every honey related item for my level. I have since stopped collecting honey in order to save up axes to clear the dead bushes. I will collect more honey when I have enough axes collected. Like others who have stated before me, I have never had to stop producing an item because I had no way to clear the debris. I only buy trees and bushes as needed and collect as needed. This strategy has always worked...until now. And soon we will be able to make beeswax. More dead bushes. I already have at least 10 I cannot clear just yet.

I understand that the game is supposed to be played strategically - I like this game because it takes planning, and when I have a plan I control my own fate. Until the nectar bushes, if there was a dead tree or bush on my farm, I was to blame because I didn't keep things organized and didn't think ahead. There is no way to "manage" the nectar bushes - it's either use your bees and lose control of your resources, or don't use the bees and lose control of your inventory.

At the very least, we need to be given the option to keep the bees away from bushes that have been revived. We can buy items to attract birds, frogs, and butterflies. How about an item that repels bees? You could place them near bushes that you want to keep the bees away from.

I have the same problem.
So here is an example. There are many options to harvest our mines. Shovels, dynamite, and picks.
What if there were two options to cutting down the trees and bushes. We could use axes or saws to cut all dead plants and trees down. Saws can cut bushes down the same as an axe can cut down a tree. I think it's a great idea!!!

This is absolutely right. IF SC don't want to give us more axes, then at least they could look at extending the lives of nectar bushes or lower the threshold for honeycomb.

Totally agree with most all comments. I was able to manage all cutting with the "normal" amount I got of axes and saws -until the nectar bushes. I see farms with various numbers of bushes that all share the same problem: these new bushes need more respawns. I'm to the point of letting my cute little bees just sit on the hives whistling until this is fixed. Also, there is very little reason to buy the candlemaker let alone make beeswax. I'm totally preoccupied with hiding those sad, dead bushes!

Not what anyone wants to hear, but Nick's posts (Post #5 and Post #11), address the axe issue. Post 11 does, however, say they are looking into it.

Actually, I do want to hear SC response to this. So, thanks for the link. It didn't give me much hope of restarting my honey business yet...but at least he says he knows there's a problem. At least one option is ruled out for me: I will never hire Tom again until either he stops taking naps, or we can have a "stop watch" during times we hired him for while we sleep.

I have always made it priority to keep my farm looking nice by not having any dead bushes/trees & not collecting too many fruits/berries from them in one day so that I can keep up with my axes. With the nectar bushes now it's IMPOSSIBLE to not have dead bushes around on your farm. I personally hate the way the dead bushes look, and have had to look at atleast 5/6 dead bushes a day! It's now over 10 bushes on my farm atm since I haven't been able to keep up or FIND any axes anymore! So frustrating!!

I thought it was just me that was finding a lack of axes, glad to see that is not the case and that I am not going crazy. lol
