New Dark troop. Voodoo Prince (moved)

After the disappointment of the lava hound, I've been thinking of what id like to see in the game. Something that's new, but gos along with the whole scheme/premise of COC. We already have wizards and witches. so there are already a couple of "magic bases" characters. The Voodoo prince would work well as a third, and work well as a dark troop, fitting the dark elixer into the "black magic" genre.


The voodoo prince would himself do no damage. Instead every 2-4 seconds would summon a wall/shield of invincibility. This shield would redirect the shots(attacks) aimed at him back onto the attacking defense, at 30% damage at level 1. So a level 8 tesla attacking would be hit by its own attack at 33 DPS.


Level 1 would do 1/3 return damage. Have 300 health.
level 2 would do 1/2 return damage. Having 400 health.
level 3 would do 7/10 return damage. Having 500 health.


the voodoo prince would take up 10 troop space.


costing 500 DE at level 1
costing 600 DE at level 2
costing 750 DE at level 3


10 minutes train time also.




any additions or comments are greatly appreciated. Just throwing my ideas out there. I love playing COC and new stuff is always fun. I think this would be a really good addition, and would help change up base set ups and attack strategies.

The voodoo prince would not be over powered or under powered. He would be powerful in returning damage to all attackers while his wall is up. Doing damage to several units possibly. However would not be over powered in that he would do no damage to mines collectors barracks TH etc. so a mass attack would not be advisable.

As in the prince would take certain portion of the damage, while returning the rest to the building itself? so it's like a suicidal troop of some sort?

or
They could make the prince to deal damage to the nearest building instead of aiming at the attacking building

How i thought of it, no he would not take any damage while his wall/shield is up. But during the cool down would continue to move forward defenseless. A give and take if you will. Would make timing of deployment crucial for maximum benefit.

but this is just my thoughts, it is completley open to suggestion.

It is a good idea I find but should be able to be attacked so can be added the fact that they go with the type of unit (such as PEKKA by the Tesla)

Love the idea but you seriously have to increase the housing space to at least 20 in my opinion change the name because there are no other princes as troops or kings or queens

Not everything good needs to take up mass space, especially if it did no damage to non defensive units.

I think this is an interesting idea and would be a cool troop type; I had a similar idea for a monk themed troop.

It'd be cool to have something like this in clash.

Revise the stats a little and I'll consider making concept art for you and adding this to the list of best ideas that I'm putting together

I think this is a solid idea. It would add to GoWiWi/GoWiPe, that many players use. But honestly, I feel that CoC needs to make a troop that creates new strategies and not adds to the old ones, mostly for higher level players.

Possibly taking up up a little bit more space. Maybe 14,16 or 18.

as far as the other stats i like where they stand.

& I would also add it does double return damage against teslas. As it would be more effective in he gowipe attack strategy to protect pekkas.

& i hate teslas, I'm more worried about them then infernos.

but if you would make some concept art, that would be incredibly awesome!

Perhaps a name change to witch doctor? Or do you wanna leave it at voodoo prince?

I am am picturing him also a a tiki prince/ witch doctor looking type. Dark completion. Possibly open shirt, ripped short. Piercings possibly a skull necklace. But i like the same as is. Has a royalty type name like the heros, but is not a hero. & though a voodoo prince would be a witch doctor, i just wouldn't want it to clash with the witches already in game.

I like the the voodoo priest. I was just thinking also.... How it would do no damage to defenses, but what about troops. The voodoo prince/priest. Could also have voodoo dolls attached to each level. Say level 1 he does return damage to archers and barbs in CC. 2 wizards giants. And three all remaining troops. Just an add on idea. I really like the concept art too!

I think you're on to something...although I won't want to defend against him. What is his weakness ie: Telsa good against peeka, giant bomb against hog?

ok so its a good idea, but if this were to happen, he needs to be a little more of a truck, maybe like 800 health at level one increasing by 75 health point on his wy up through the levels, Also, why not be a voodoo caster, a prince is much more unlikely to find. Just ideas though, sorry to be nitpicky

I would have have him set with no pre set weakness ♥♥♥ his cool down time of walking without a shield would be a weakness enough. Say 2-3 of aimlessly walking towards and xbow would leave him vulnerable. Mich like the witch when she isn't summoning or firing.


Agrees health points should probably be increased a bit, for the reasons stated above. But at the same time not to OP the prince/priest. I would like to see him balanced to fit into any attack, and to be a strong ally in gowiwi & gowipe. This troop could help improve battle all the way from the middle to the champion leagues. Maybe turning some of those trying your best for 2 stars, into there actually being a possibility of getting 3. I use gowipe in war, and during my push to masters 2. & i never considered 3 stars against most bases, just 2. It would be cool to look at a base and say, damn if inlet my prince/priest there, and drop my pekkas right behind, I might get 100%

it sounds like a good troop to add but the time that the wall is up needs to be a little higher

That at is something that could be set as a limit like maybe 5 seconds. With a 3-4 second cool down. Or it could be increased with leveling up. I am open to hearing any and all suggestions.

also I may have just thought of an AMAZING idea for another troop. I shall post a new thread about that in a few hours
