what you're seeing now is the usual theme. they took away the summer theme awhile ago. if you're sick of this theme, i dont know what to say.
Me! I can't wait for the Halloween update. It's my favorite holiday.
I don't have any Halloween decorations, and I can't wait to buy some. I'm not that much into decorations, but I do want the Halloween ones.
I'm hoping the update is tomorrow. It's October tomorrow, after all.
Bring on the autumn trees, the pumpkins carved like jack o' lanterns, the bats, the monster in the mine, the ghost bearing gifts!!!

Oooh, a ghost train would be awesome. (Supposedly, there's one where I live. Abraham Lincoln's funeral train supposedly can be seen on April nights.)

I must say that I am going to be disappointed with the fall theme... my understanding is that only 'natural' trees change colors.... I was too quick to chop all mine down.. wish I hadn't done that.

I not only cut down all my trees, I cut down the ones across the river, too. You can't even use the land over there. You get XP for cutting down trees. I thought you were supposed to cut them all down.
I did try to save the tree in the new farm areas that opened up, and in the town. I have cut some trees down accidentally, though. Still have some original trees, so I'm looking forward to fall colors.
Thanks for your trouble, Helen. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I agree that sooner rather than later would be good and it should stop as soon as October draws to a close imo. I started playing this game in January this year and I was surprised that the Xmas theme carried on for so long after the event. I thought that was normal! :DQuote:

I noticed the fall theme last week or the week before. It was weird, it was only live for a few hours. Long enough for me to notice the fog, change in animal clothes, change in Oak trees, and find a ghost in my fishing spot which gave me a decoration. Then poof gone. Anyone else see this?

Personally, 2 weeks of Halloween is plenty, but I REALLY want my "fall color" ASAP. I think we could all wait for Halloween if we had fall decorations to work with until Halloween "arrived" in the middle of the month.
This would be my ideal schedule:
Fall: arrive between Sept. 21 (official first day of fall) and Oct. 1; last until the first of December
Halloween: arrive 2 weeks before Halloween and disappear the day after
I would be fine with the Halloween decorations being available earlier for those who want to decorate now, and to give people with fewer savings time to buy stuff, but as far as the costumes on the animals and any special events go...2 weeks leading up to Halloween itself is enough. Now if we had decorations for celebrating el Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) we could keep it going until el 2 de noviembre.
I have a feeling this is going to be a bigger update than just holiday decorations. The area on the right of the farm screen has gotten MUCH bigger. You used to be able to see just a small fringe of trees. Now there's a forest.
I think we're getting more land expansions.
Why no more of the "ghosts" or very detailed unique GIFTS floating in the fishing zones any more SuperCell?
very excited for the deco on the farms and the farm animals.
How about if we could buy costumes for our pets? ( I know, put this sugg. In the ideas section)

As much as I ❤️ all the seasonal decorations that SC provide us with , IRL ( and yes I know this isn't RL) we in the UK only have our Halloween deco up for one evening...31st October.
If I'm honest, I'd love to keep them up for a little longer around my house as it takes me hours to put them up ( not to mention hours to carve 2 pumpkins ) only to be taking them down 24hrs later😥
But then again if I did keep them up longer , I'd probably have kids knocking at my door trick or treating , well into November 😜

Here I thought I was finally going to be done with LEMs (only have 2 more blocks to open) and could start funneling them all to my husband.
I don't have an issue with holiday events lasting a month. That's a fairly common occurrence in other games I play. Besides, Halloween and Christmas are my favorite holidays so I never get sick of either.
They probably are going to last at least a month. The question is whether it's a month before the holiday, or a month after. ;)Quote:

Helen, we used to put all the decorations up in the living room because most of them were too fragile and dear to us to risk getting them stolen, or blown away in our fall storms. (We have a big one heading this way today BTW). Any way, we would drag them all off the mantle and cabinets and walls and put them on the porch in the late afternoon on October 31. Then when we ran out of candy, we would bring them back in and put them back in the totes to store for the next year.Quote:

It is now past the first of October and STILL no Halloween! I know there are so many others like us that have been waiting patiently for the first of the month and hoping the switch to the Halloween theme would take place. I know you have to be tired of hearing the questions and I know so many of us are tired of asking you over and over...When is the Halloween theme coming back to Hay Day? We had a miniture teaser due to an "uh oh" moment during an update and that has only increased our appetite even more for our dressed up animals and amazing decorations. Many hoped the transformation would happen after the first of October but it is now the 5th and our Farms are still the same. Many of us have done our best "decorating" with dead trees and bushes (Yay, finally a use for them) and those lucky enough to have been around last year at Halloween have pulled out the old decorations but it is time to pull out the new stuff and let us get to decorating Hay Day! If you already know when Halloween will decend upon our beloved Hay Day would you please do us a favor and send out a message letting us know when that will be. That way we can go back to patiently anticipating the day of the Halloween update and stop impatiently searching all over the internet for the answer to this question as well as no longer having to ask you this same question over and over again on the Forums and Facebook. You already gave us our TRICK Hay Day with the dressed up animals teaser so please give us a TREAT and either let the transformation to Halloween happen or fill us in on WHEN it will happen. We love you Hay Day :-)
I do hope they get the message that it needs to be before Halloween and gone soon after. There's nothing quite so sad as halloween and Xmas decorations hanging on long after the event. We sometimes see houses with drippy icicle lights months after Xmas! Not a good look. :rolleyes:Quote:

Pumpkin pie is the obvious choice, but since they did it last year, will they do it again?

I don't want to be patient! The day of the oops I got a little section all cornered off, put my nifty coffin in there, some dead trees & now just WAITING foe the actual release. I wake up every morning hoping today will be the day. I don't want to waIt any longer or be patient! 😤

Last year, I regretfully bought only one Halloween decoration (does any one see where this is going:confused:?). After 12 months of viewing other farms and coveting the black fences, the time has finally arrived! :rolleyes:
Every day since October 1st I wake up and hope. Sort of the same feeling on Christmas morning when I was a kid, lol! And then I wait yet another day. 😳
Last year the theme started around mid month, and I expect SC plans on doing the same thing. But here's the deal- I am ready to spend cold hard cash to buy decorations. So it's a waiting game. I wait for a week. SuperCell waits for my money.😴
HAY SUPERCELL- do you want my money or not? I might be back on unemployment again and unable to spend on luxuries next week!😞
so if you want a ton of cash, I would release the Halloween update ASAP if I were you!😈

There was a mistake. The Halloween theme was accidentally released for a few hours last month. If you played during those few hours, you could get the coffin from the ghost in the fishing area.Quote:

By the way, thanks to forum members for great idea of using dead trees for Halloween decorations! I did just that because I only bought the casket last year.
Hopefully, it will have the fall tree colors as well as Halloween decorations. Last year that was just beautiful! And while we are talking about seasons, I hope you have the snowfall again this winter.
