I'm TH9, and I think on average I spend around 50k gold per raid just to find something > 150k gold. That's not to say I get all the gold either, and it could cost me spells too. I feel the cost is too high, i've earned 300k gold in the past 90 mins, not finding anything to raid. 1600 trophy range.
As a TH7, we spend 380 gold for each raid chance. Usually for me, I spend about no more than 10k gold since I can easily find bases with the loot bonuses smiling down upon me. :cool:
And that's around the 1400-1600 range.
I will update this thread starting now with my frequency of finding decent 150k+ raids at 1300+ trophies.
At TH8 I spend about 50-90k looking for a good loot base... i'm quite picky haha, I try look for 150k of gold and elixir when I raid.
Hit next 100 times and stopped. Found 2 bases with over 150k. The first was after hitting next 26 times and had 150k but was heavily defended. The second was after hitting next 62 times and had 160k but was also heavily defended and would have taken my entire army. So I spent $75k gold and still couldn't find a match worth taking!!!!!!!
You do realize farming is not just raiding 150k+ raids right?
if you farm at ~1000 you can get 120k average CONSTANTLY
EDIT: because thats when most TH6s save for TH7 prematurely

At the most around 10K to find 200K+ loot. I seriously wonder how people can say there's no loot; I'm TH7 and have 4M gold and 3M elixir sitting around while my builders are busy.

You missed he point. I can give a F about trophies, however, the amount of trophies you have will determine your matchups. If I am getting good matchups between 1400-1600 trophies, I'm not going to risk dropping below that range just to use some goblins to get 60k from some gold mines and surrender.Quote:

I've had troubles finding gold for several hours, however my clan mates (same country) say they are easily finding 250k gold. Why me? I usually find tons of quick and easy raids in the morning and afternoon, and terrible just after midnight, so I stop. I'm not sure how SuperCell are doing their matching, but I don't think i'm fishing in the same pool as my clan mates... I've been settling for 120k gold raids, was only lucky ONCE to get > 200k gold out of 12 raids.

I never spend more than 10-20k gold on finding a raid
i am TH8 and i usually go though 15 searches, on average, before i get a decent base to attack. if i cant find a good base to attack and i already spent like 20k gold, i usually quit searching and go to revenge.
30-40k just to find a 180k+ I make my money back at least. TH8 btw.
Tracked mine for a bit and found out I spend less searching than I was estimating. Averaged 15.7 clicks at 580 gold/click (TH8) so ~9,106 gold, targeting 150K gold, but taking easy 100k+ gold when available.

Also, of course, the average amount I spend is dependent on how much gold is available, in general, at the time/day I am attacking. When I wake up early in the morning (5:00am, East Coast, USA) I almost always aim for more gold and will frequently need to hit next fewer times than average, even though I am very likely to skip 150k gold at that time of day. Conversely, by mid afternoon/early evening on a Saturday, when everyone has been home from work playing, gold is sparse and I hit next many more times than average, and happily take on tough bases for 100k gold.
I'm a TH9 I i usually spend about 50K+ looking for raids. My priority is primarily gold at 150k+ but aim for 200k+ of each. Dark elixir isn't a factor unless its above 1500. I'll hit the 150K raid if i know I can take all the resources otherwise I will aim higher and got for the 200K+'s especially if I have to throw 2 lightnings in there.
People need to remember to lazy farm. It's really efficient.Quote:
