What I would really like to see is a lay-away type deal when trying to upgrade something. If my mortar is 800,000 elixir and I only have 500,000 it would be nice to put some amount towards that upgrade. Especially for the folks that aren't able to spend any real money for coins.
Thats actually an awesome idea. I think it would hurt the clash "economy" and raiding too much though, everyone would just stuff their loot into upgrades then nothing would be left for other people to take aside from inactive bases. The "economy" is already kind of tight, unless you're willing to devote hours each day into the game its hard enough already to get resources. I really like the idea but I think there should be another addition to counteract the loss of overall in loot.

There wouldn't be one! There's be no reason to have storages if I could just instantly put all my loot in to an upgrade. No one would have a drop of loot in their storages, why would you?!
The only means to get loot would be if you find someone before they collected their collectors....
