I just wanted to thank Nio for creating such a great and informative thread about valkyries. I've been a member of just about every \/alhalla gathering and Its helped me Take my game to another level using valkyries. This past weekend I finally made it to champions league using GoVaPe and valks/hogs. So a big thanks to \/alhalla and to Nio!

You guys inspired me to add valkyries to my farming army (TH9). I have one dark barracks turning out minions and the other valks so my final army is about 16 giants, 80 archers, 20 minions and 2 valkyries It cut a few minutes off my training time, added a little firepower and as an added bonus it makes dealing with cc troops much easier. Do you think it is worth it to upgrade valkyries beyond level 1? It seems to me that the added health and damage isn't worth the increased DE cost, at least for a farming army.
For farming purposes, sticking with level one is a decision of cost effectiveness. One complaint that Valkyrie users make is that the DE cost rises faster than actual stats.Quote:

If your trying to farm in masters or tackle tough bases, then upgrading them is benificial as the extra strength is very helpful. But if hitting Th9-8 bases a level 1 Valkyrie is often sufficient, particularly if you are farming (going after weak bases)
However, late Th10 GoViz can be a powerful strategy for storage raids. Since the upper trophy levels have such a large supply of DE, plus the bonus, its more than worth the cost to upgrade
If you want to farm with Valks, might I suggest an army...
16 giants 38 barbs, 38 archers, 4 wiz, 4 Valks, 8 wbs. The army gets done in less than 30 mins, and it's great to hit storages. I farm with this in Crystal. I use 4 heal spells, and after I clear out a path I deploy them with my heroes, healing your Valks w your heroes is very powerful as they will all stay alive for a very long time and do lots of damage.
I've found that heal spells with Valks is the best way to go. In war, I will take 1 rage and 3 heals, I will stack a rage and heal when dealing with cc troops (I don't lure) then I'll throw a heal if needed in the core, and a last one as all my troops are trying to leave the core. (Will usually deploy right at edge of walls the troops are trying to break through and then cover where they will go for max coverage)
I use 2 golems, 16 wiz, 8 wbs and 10 Valks, with either 2 witches in cc or more Valks and wiz in cc. I've been regularly 3 starring max 9s with this combo, I''ll try to post a war vid and some farming vids later today if I get a chance

Hi! I am a town hall 8 with level 2 hogs and 1 valks. I never really though much about using them due to the high amount of dark elixer cost. Any suggestions? Currently farming.

Well, I'm maxed out everything before upgrade to TH9. I farm DE with GiWiVaBArch ( 14 Giants, 8 Wizzies, 5/6 Valkyries, 8 WBs, rest BArch ) + 2 healing spells, 1 rage spell, thats not high cost for me at all. Just need push myself to hardcore mentality raid... lolQuote:
