The prices of things (all things, not just walls) vs the generating ability of resources (mines, drills, attacking) is way off kilter.
Especially with the amount of available loot for attacks, it is nearly impossible to upgrade much of anything without spending real-world money.
I do realize that part of your business model includes in game purchases, but that should be to speed up progress rather than being the only practical way to upgrade.
Please consider some sort of change, perhaps making a weekly cap on attackable loot rather than per attack, or decreasing the percentage available, or decreasing prices of upgrades, or something.
Hitting a constant wall of frustration doesn't make me buy more gems, it makes me go play other games.
For example: for the last month I have been trying to accumulate enough to upgrade a wizard tower from 4 to 5, but can never get beyond about a million and a half. That's with all possible mines/drills at maximum level. The only thing I can think of is to go attack and surrender a bunch of times to make all my trophies go away so I can be left in peace. That's just dumb, no fun at all, and not going to get me to want to play.
