A spell to make All troops attack a specific area.

I love playing this game, but there are certain things in the game that I wished were different or available. One of the things I wished could be done is the ability to attack specific areas when in battle. It is very limited as far as being able to really guide your troops in the "right" direction. My idea is to be able to create a spell in the factory that allows you to drop that potion over an area that makes ALL of your troops focus on that specific target. This means they would fight their way into any area that the potion is dropped, not attacking or being distracted by anything else other than walls in order to reach that target and begin destroying it. Now with that being said the spell could only stay active until a certain number of damage had been reached or a certain number of troops had accessed the area where the spell had been dropped. Additionally, the damage done or troops in the area could be increased when an upgrade has been made, just like any other spell that we use in the game. The ability to have your troops attack a specific area and the chance to lead them better would make the game tons more enjoyable for the player, and I believe would only enhance an already awesome game! New jump spell kinda works that way... however make it possible to control troops to specifically attack 1 thing (TH for example) would make the game too easy.

I get what you're saying, but I must respectively disagree. See, if I had a dragon for example and it's attacking a gold mine, and there's a rocket attacking him while he's distracted by the gold mine, well, i'd rather him be attacking that rocket pad other than the gold mine so he's not dead by the time he's done destroying the gold mine. It's these kind of things that drive me nuts in the game, and by having a spell made such as this would allow me to have better control over my troops and allow me to do better in battle.

I have the same problem. In fact, less than 10 minutes ago, my stupid drags ignoring AD cost me the 3 star in a war attack. But this is easily abused, which has already been said. Dropping this spell on the town hall up in champion's league makes for undefendable attacks. Not very fair

Yeah i agree with you on that, but they could put restrictions on the spell, like making it where it wouldn't be possible to drop it over a town hall...idk, there are a lot of possibilities with this idea.

Methods for directing troops has been ruled out and for good reason. Drop 10+ dragons/PEKKAS on the map, cast this spell over the TH, and heal/rage their path and get a guaranteed victory.

Yeah, good point, but they could make the spell effective for ground troops only or something like that...

Part of what makes attacking something that takes skill is knowing where you want to direct your troops, and how to do so. Having this implemented would remove this skill.

They could but nothing would stop people from TH rushing with PEKKA or hogs.

And a bit more realistic. Oh for Archers that STOP shooting a Collector and start shooting a Cannon killing them by the numbers!

I would love to be able to tap the screen and redirect my troops from being morons!:rolleyes:

Right, but not if they made it where u were not allowed to drop it over a TH...idk, i think it would be worth them developing this spell and testing it on their own first to see what would really happen with all of this. I just want to be able to have more control over my troops, and I know many others want the same thing.

Actually the AI could be wrote to take a path to the intended target, fighting the defenses in a straight line to the TH.

I checked the sticky and found out I was wrong and that troop movement control has been removed from the list of ruled out suggestions. Both the ideas for adding a field general-type troop (controls troop movement) and the idea for a spell to lead troops to a certain area are listed under the new ideas section. It might be on a to do list somewhere but I think they have a ton of work to do to keep from creating an imbalance between attacking and defending if either of these are implemented. My friend plays a samurai-themed CoC knock off and he says there is a commander troop that yells every so often and draws troops toward his position. Might be a cool idea to develop and keep from having too many stipulations on a spell. I suggested the commander troop a while back with ideas about customizing him to attack certain building types and was met with quite a bit of opposition saying that the idea was both ruled out and suggested too frequently. Maybe that has changed.

Thanks for keeping us up to date, and honestly i really hope they do NOT make something like this. Knowing where your troops are going to go is the entire strategy behind attacking.

I didn't think of that, that would be a great idea too, thanks for your input! In the end it dosen't really matter what it is, i just wished that they would make something for the game to give us a little more control of our troops, as i originally stated, I believe it would only enhance the enjoyment of the game, and allow people to have a lot more fn with it. I'm just tired of deploying strong troops that i've spent a lot of elixer and time on only to have them be killed in no time while they're attacking something pointless and dumb lol. I just hope they come up with something cause it's really getting frustrating...
