[IDEA] Caught in the Act!
How many of us have opened up CoC to be faced with the dreaded "Warning! You are under attack! ..." message?I'm sure the vast majority of us have. I know I've seen it at least a dozen times over the 9 months I've been playing. You put your device down for a couple minutes to do a quick chore, get a drink of water, or yes, even to bio; and you come back to find that you're being attacked!
Remember how defenseless and vulnerable that made you feel? All you could do is sit there and watch the seconds tick away; hoping...wishing...praying...it would end short of the allotted time; knowing your Clan Castle troops (if you had any) weren't going to be enough to protect your resources? After it's over and the attacker used the entire time to demolish your base, you think about the near 2M gold and 2M elixir you had, waiting for "just one more raid" to start that much needed upgrade. Now you're down and have to make up all that was lost.
But, wouldn't it be nice if there were some way you could thwart the attack? At least try to save some of your resources? Your available spells, Army Camp Troops, and Hero Abilities (if still alive) could help save most of your resources.
Suggestion: Add a "Fight Back!" button to the "Warning! You are under attack..." screen.
Some of the rules I envisioned (to make it fair for all):
1. It could only be used if you catch the 1st 60 seconds of the attack.
2. It would negate a revenge attack.
3. It cannot be used if the attack is a revenge attack.
4. Spells and Army Camp troops would be considered "used", as they are in offensive attacks, and would need to be retrained (at cost).
5. Troops/Spells would be deployed as they are in offensive attacks, but CAN be placed on "red area" to save buildings and attack enemy troops within walls.
6. Hero's are not available if currently regenerating.
7. Hero's regeneration would follow same rules as offensive and defensive attacks.
8. Hero abilities (BK Rage / AQ Cloak) are fully functional and target enemy troops.
9. You can only use what is available in the army camps at the time of the attack (troops in barracks are unavailable).
10. Spells target buildings or enemy troops (Lightning-kills enemy troops, Heal-heals buildings, Rage-ineffective, Jump-ineffective, Freeze-freezes enemy troops).
Just a final note: I think adding this feature would add a level of uncertainty/mystery to the game, as the attacker couldn't know if an opponent will "Catch them in the Act", and the defender cannot watch his/her account to determine if or when they will be attacked.
Great Idea!!!!! But some flaws
This would not help me but I still love this idea
Cons
1) I have only had this happen 3 times in my 2 years
2) My defense lately has been BEASTMODE
3) I dont ever have troops in my castle (unless its war) and wont always have troops trained
Pros
1) I would always have troops ready
2) Users would spend more elixir
3) Help more people win on the defensive side
