OP: dont bother its no use arguing, even I have faced same thing not once but several times (doing million plus gold searches), but there are a fixed set or guys who will rush into any thread to prove loot is awesome & you are not knowing how to play...either they are planted by SC themselves to fend any negative views or they just wanna argue, so dont bother. just exit the game for some time & collect you drills till the time you get bored doing even that, have a chat with your friends in clan, put your collectors well protected & dont bother complaining here...
Edit: those few who were trying to make a difference to the game have already given up in the loot thread...
Everyone is hating on you because there is no way you spent 2 million gold nexting and didn't find one single raidable base. No one is going to believe that. If you want help and you say your troops are max I would suggest moving to Master 3 and doing a Loon/Minion combo there. You have a nice league bonus and can easily farm gold, elixir, and dark.
I might have stated this earlier in this thread (too many loot threads to count) but I was able to do all 3 xbow upgrades from level 3 to level 4 in about a weeks time. I don't boost or sit online either. I raid I cook troops and log off until my troops and 2 rage spells are ready. You also don't need hero's to loon.
oops my bad:rolleyes:....
seriously though ..... why expect to be able to loot storages on TH9's and th10's with spells from TH7 or 8.....
I'm sure upgrading those spells, would bring more bases into the "lootable" category for the op, especially as he does not want to upgrade his hero's past lvl6 at this moment for some reason......
I know spells cost elxir, and are not the only answer, but they would def help him out, and possibly bring a bit of fun, or satisfaction into the game for him ........
So for fun I logged onto my th09 account which has everything maxed but hero's and walls.
I decided to search for bigfoot. The "Big" inactive base so many on here say they find after a few next's and support their building habit's with.
Here's what I found.
First one showed up at 27 nexts.
Th09 with 112k gold 146k elix and 441dk
I passed because that didn't seem like the big one.
67 more "nexts" and I found a Th08 with 275k gold and 201k elix and 1300 dark.
I took it.
I went where some people suggested and I'm not sure how they support keeping all 5 builders busy on inactive's.
Unless I'm in the wrong range, I'm in crystal 3 at 2033 trophies.
I did however pass a few 200k+ bases but I was strictly searching for inactive's.
Inactive's are more like a treat if you find one now.
For the record this was just for me to see how far I had to go. I'm actually not complaining about loot on my th09 account.
My Th10 though...That's a whole different problem.
Edit:
First next after this post.
Great loot

You're assuming that gem purchasers fall into 2 categories: a minority that gem the hell out of their bases so they cap out in a matter of a few months (or less), and the majority that use it for boosting barracks. I would think that the people who understand the true value of gems--that boosting barracks yields the highest ROI over any other use--are also more inclined to get by on as minimal gem purchasing as possible. I am one of those people who understand this, and I also understand that I can get by on the game-created gems as I don't always need to be boosting every time I farm. It's all speculation either way, but I'm fairly certain that 80% numbers you're thinking of falls in line with those who may get builder huts, or speed up a TH construction, or instantly replenish resources. It's not a economically smart use of their resources, but those are the ones who are willing to purchase them over and over, as they are getting a poor return on their investment and require more as they become depleted often. The uninformed gamer makes for the best customer.
Today,I got good loot. I am late th 8 @ 15/1600 cups. On a 4 hour (boosted) raiding sesion i got 6mill gold, 4 mill elix and 5k dark.
I think that loot is fine, some days good, some bad, but all in all; loot is fine.
~Kris
Ps: (If we compare to a non boosted sesh - divide by four - , I would have gotten 1.5mill gold and 1mill purple.)
To the people who say it should be harder to find loot at later town halls ... it is already more difficult regardless of loot being harder to find. Costs of everything advances phenomenally and build times inflate ridiculously. That's the challenge. Not scraping multi million worth of upgrades at 30-80 k a piece while being raided for 300 k each. I wish people held the loot I did. Burying all loot is bad for the economy that people lament about. It furthers the crisis. But people won't stop burying all their loot until they feel like they have a reasonable chance to raid it back just as easily. It's a negative feedback loop that will only be improved when people don't struggle to break even on raids. If I get raided for 300 k each I don't care if I can gain it back and then some in at most three raids. As it is ... my phone battery is dying while I leave it on so I don't get raided so I can cover what I'm almost guaranteed to lose in a raid. Looking at my phone every five minutes to keep it logged in is not what I want to do with my time. Getting big raids is.
A pig just gave me bacon!
So ... going by your unboosted numbers ... four hours to do a couple bomb traps? I'm also late th8 but even the second cannon upgrade is 1.5 million. I doubt most people want to spend their entire afternoon trying to get the cheapest upgrade for their town hall.
That's 1.5M/250k/1250 an hour, boosted mind you, and as a TH8 that's kind of the problem that people are talking about. Unboosted that would be maybe 750k/125k/600 an hour tops if you were BArching, and although it's great you're happy with it, there have been so many posts from the past on the loot situation where that shouldn't be anything close to what you're settling for as a TH8.
Unfortunately I seem to be one oasis in a desert of poor bases. I get hit hard by th9s and 10s due to it. One raid (normally I get raided for 100-150 k ) against me sets me back about six attacks. I have gotten to the point where I detest raiding since it feels like work at times. If I can't raid religiously for hours every night to ensure that I can do the next upgrade I can't upgrade at all.
I will agree that long build times are an absolute blessing. Still doesn't make raiding feel very rewarding and that's my biggest issue. The effort to reward ratio is too far out of w.h.a.c.k. If I can find 150 k each every time it's ok ... but just barely. The big loot raids are what brings the wow factor in this game.
Edit can supercell not have a filter that recognizes actual words ffs?
Yeah. That's kind of the issue though. A few of my clanmates boost regularly and recommend it. All I say to them is "if I can't play the game without boosting constantly I'm done playing". I will boost if I'm having fun and I think it's worth it. As a frustrated player I'm not using gems whatsoever.
I barch in masters, maybe 45 min at a stretch, basically 2 or 3 raids at a time. You dont have to barch for hours at a time. Although I have to admit that I didnt go up to seriously farm until I had maxed everything but ATs, xbows, and walls/heroes.
What makes it profitable for me is there is no need to hit next more than 5-10 times to get a barchable raid. Thats 150-200k consistently with very little nexting. Just leave your th outside at least part of the time and youre fine.
So you are agreeing that there is no loot. Because you farm league bonuses and not other players.
How many 45 minute sessions do you do a day? Because at best you are making 600k gold per session if you never fail.
I'm sorry, but for me, that's just no fun. Getting the big hit is why this game was so much fun. Not BARCH for 50% and under 100k in resources.
Been making about 5mil and 40k+ DE( a day in)* masters for the last 2 and a half weeks or so looning. My elixir has surprisingly been quite steady since I don't even look at elixir available when I loot, It takes like 3 days to lose 1mil which is super fast to barch back.
Ummm...hi frens...m novice to all this...a mere level67 player...and m not here to give any reviews or suggestions.
We all are part of supercell...that means we are part of a family.
One of our fren spent his well earned gold which made him angry, only if we can calm him down can conclude good. We should not judge each other. May be he is right or wrong, lets just help him in better manner.
He just tried to share his prob coz he was angry, lets not boost it.
Thanks for all ur patient replies
Push to masters 2-1 and loonion, you will be gaining a HUGE bonus of about 100k+ and you will be winning every raid with loonion while also making some loot from actual raids ( about 170k+ per raid )
Reading all the arguments just makes me laugh.
So you make 5 mil gold per day but you lose elixir? And you think that's good? How many attacks do you do per day to get that? How many spells do you use per raid? How many times do you hit next to find a decent base?
And no one has said there is a DE shortage. Right now DE is by far the easiest resource to get
My average raid before the lix for walls disaster was well over 250/250/2000. Since that time I'm at half of that while having to next at least twice as much.
Why did you white out the gems?
It seems to me like to OP is a gemmer-rusher. That might be half the problem.
Dude its hard to believe that u spend 2 million gold and didnt found anything if u are on c2 bonus is like 50k right? just barch the th8 that you find and there its a easy 50k loot or th snipe when you can
I only lose elixir because I boost my spell factory so I can get an extra 1 or 2 gold storages so I can do 1-2 walls wall a day and have enough for 2 defenses. Without boost my spell factory I still make the same amount of DE like 2 or so less gold but prob gain elixir so it doesn't really matter. I have yet to notice a long nexting time.
You say loot is fine, then immediately after that you agree with this comment:
and you also say:
Loot is very far from being fine at TH10. Even if you're TH8 and swimming in it, shouldnt you be a little concerned that there is clearly an issue at higher TH levels? That's why you're playing right? To progress your base and upgrade? So if you bother to stick it out, you'll end up where we are... Saying loot is fine (especially when a handful of posts later you concede that it actually isnt), is shortsighted and detracts from what is clearly a major problem.
If you can't find 150k, stop looking for it! As previously posted, search for 80-100k.
No, no, NO. It is most certainly NOT a "trash can". It's called "fixing the forums". We didn't care about the loot posts before there was a all-in-one loot post, so it's not like it helps us ignore them any easier. It's just that now you hooligans can stop pushing everyone's troop suggestions and all the other irrelevant things to the bottom of the list and making people feel like they'll never be seen. Players feeling like they aren't being seen/heard makes unhappy customers, and we don't like unhappy customers. Trust us, we SEE your posts. - SuperCell
(No further comments were made on if SC was actually going to do anything about them)
(PS: I jest, I jest. But with the lack of SC interaction on the forums, that's what it feels like.)
Very true. And make it an achievement that people will want to get. Not a 10 gemmer or something. But at least 100 gems to get people interested.
Any why can't I have a setting that would automatically filter out any base with <50K of each resource without having to next. I could turn it on for farming, turn it off for pushing. Save me some nexting, gold, time, etc.
This thread by supercell just screams their is a loot problem.
Why would you start a "one and only loot thread" otherwise.
i just honestly hope they fix it a little before all their customers walk out the door and they wake up realising the regular gemmers that keep it going are gone. You have to keep it fun and possible to progress or most will just get over it and think its not worth just gemming everything. Many ppl would rather gem while still progressing with farming.
Well i know i have stopped gemming and so have the other 34 ppl in my clan. Cant speak for all ppl of course :)
If this is what I can look forward to ... I'm never finishing this game with a maxed th9 even. I'd rather prepare a tax return than next for such paltry resources twice an hour. Also as a near max th10 let's face it ... you're near top dog status. Your defenses for guarding your loot are top level and I'd bet you're mostly left alone.
Yesterday C3 was a nightmare. Today I'm raking in 500k every 5 bases. It's a total ♥♥♥♥ shoot.
When the lava hound came was when the drought started.
Of course they have acecepted the fact that bringing inactives to the end of the queue may put them on a subworld forever..... I can check it with my Gamecenter friends...got some that appears with same cups forever....also it remaims broken from his last raid months ago....so the base its the same over n over...i got pics...
Well, I tried to force myself to log on and raid to set off the final leg of the new mortar which is 6.4m...
I had 4.5m when my builder cam free...
That level of inactivity from me - only raiding 4.5m minus collector loot - is unusual but I'm okay with it. The less I played, the less I wanted to play. Its a sad shame but its just a fact.
I just tried a raid for the hell of it...100 skips for 120k profit including bonus. Not an enjoyable way to spend 15 minutes...
Doesnt look like this situation will fix itself...need to wait for the update and that update needs to be massive on a couple of fronts:
1/ Addresses loot so it is enjoyable to raid - and so that we find acceptable raids in a fraction of the time at present..."acceptable" is subjective but I think 150k of each is ok, all-be-it on the low side. 250k of each is much better and is STILL only 60% of what is available from a base with full storages...so hardly being greedy asking for it to be available within one minute
2/ Address the acute lack of content. This is a long standing issue and actually more fundamental than loot...The loot issue just drove people away faster than the lack of content was because some, like me, still farmed even though there is very little to farm for (at my level). But when you are essentially wasting your time, you need to make a judgement call...
If they do not address BOTH, and make a good job of it, then Im afraid a lot of players will not come back.
They don't care Carlito (or maybe they do but hardly show it)
Their statements are also contradictory. One day they say "loot is fine according to our figures". The next day suddenly "they are looking into a solution but it takes time" and a month later it is "the loot is fine" again.
I don't believe nor trust anything SC says anymore.
I see what I see, it's not in my head (and no, I'm not always using a farming army and I did try changing cups).
Deliberately staying TH9 here and doing lavas and heroes. Seeing clanmates getting excited with 150K makes me rather sad tbh and not looking forward to TH10 at all.
Thanks for reading enough to find that particular nugget not only in my long winded posts, but from this sea of bickering and complaining. Hopefully SC has done the same. The sad thing is this could probably be implemented today (in my experience yesterday is nearly impossible to achieve) with ZERO negative repercussions . . . because by design they could throttle it up or down without anybody knowing it. It is the fact that SC has not implemented any of these types of soft changes that is so troubling.
For reference, I have reposted the content that Greg123 was commenting on below:
The next easy change is to re-introduce some of the inactive accounts back into the economy. This would not need a code push and could be easily manipulated in the future to regulate the economy. For example they could easily increase the number of inactive accounts for 3 days after a patch then throttle it back once the initial spending frenzy has ended. In addition to adding them back I would suggest ignoring their trophy count for match making. This would avoid the sedimentary tendency they now have to cluster in high silver and gold. The inactive bases would be spread out using TH level or the war strength calculator and assigned to leagues based on their progress. For instance inactive TH8 accounts would be searchable from silver 1 to gold 2 depending on their strength. TH9 from gold3 to crystal 2 and TH10 from gold 1 to crystal 1. If the user logs in their trophies are used to assign their gameplay but they would be spread out artificially when they go inactive. This would both discourage dropping trophies to farm and serve as a roadblock for bots. Again, since it is adjustable on SC's server it would require no code push when they wanted to introduce or remove them to adjust the economy. These are the CoC equivalent of the "tourist" dollars that I was talking about earlier that many real economies are solely dependent on.
How many weeks of silence has it been ??
FYI - Supercell and your overlord Softbank, silence is not an actual fix to concerns and issues of your customers..
How about you open up and let us know a few things??
1. Are you investing in engineering cycles to make sugnicifent improvements to COC ??
a. other then maintenance cycles and debugging!
2. What actions are you taking to prevent COC from becoming boring as you advance due to endless nexting ?
3. How do you plan on improving the economy that many players believe is broken?
a. if you do not believe the economy is not broken; please explain in simple English your view on this .. ;-)
4. Users believe that BOTS and other ♥♥♥♥♥s are hurting the game, what are you doing to prevent or disrupt them ?
I would be happy with answers to just these 4 questions for now, so I can decide if I ever want to Gem again !!
Thx
WTH
Near maxed TH9 weighing in.
I've been from Silver I to Masters III and back down in the past month while spending a few days at each rank. I've found that the number of available inactives goes down the further you go up in rank so you're forced to try for the more risky collectors.
While farming at Masters III is possible it's really not very efficient - the number of snipe-able Town Halls goes way down in Crystal I and they are almost impossible to find at higher ranks. I've learned I can farm 3 times as much dropping to Crystal III or even Gold I and sucking up the many inactives that are available.
Instead of hiding the inactives what they should really do is hide the bases with miserably poor loot that no one would attack anyway. This would drastically reduce the number of Nexts which is really making the game more of a chore than anything else.
I havent nexted in weeks. I very much enjoy just doing wars and raking in a million gold and elixir every other day. I play much less and still upgrade my expensive stuff.
I've turned from a regular player who spent most of his free time playing coc in sessions with everything boosted to a casual player who just logs in when troops ready and attack then log off .
CONGRATULATIONS SC .. you've done it and ruined the game .
Sooner than later all those new players that you obviously try to attract will join clans and the word of how bad the loot is and how bad the support is will spread and those new players won't be spending as you hoped .
Not sure who is in charge of running your business but he/they sure could use a lot of 101 lessons .
Oh well .. I recon soon there will be games as good as coc and even better .. So carry on .
P.S. fellow clasher SC doesn't need this thredbso people tell them how bad loot is , they already know .. they caused it deliberately .
It now pays more to just boost collectors than boisting barracks and raid .. thats hardly called playing but have it you way SC .
NEXT NEXT NEXT .. CLASH OF NEXTS.
Yes, loot was bad for a time. And it still hits 1 day windows when it is awful. But people that complain that it is still awful are likely just in the wrong place.
I was a TH8 when the update hit. Loot was garbage for a while. But then it got better. I always try to hang out down where the inactive collector raids are when I need loot. At TH8 it was 1450 or so. At TH9 it's 1600-1650.
It does vary a bit from day to day, but when it's good I boost barracks and knock out 500k raids non stop. When it's not as good it takes some time, but I still find 400k raids.
I think most people complaining about loot are just too high in trophies. It's been fine for my clan since we don't push for trophies.
Most people complaining are at TH10. So being too high in trophies is NOT the answer. If a TH10 drops down to Gold levels as you seem to be suggesting, all we see are TH8 camps with a 50% loot penalty, and some poor TH9 camps in general. Don't ever go to TH10!!!
[QUOTE=TheConfuzed1;3223465]I'm on my way to maxing my TH10 base. Other than the new mortar, which needs one level, and a few traps, my defenses are maxed. If I can do it, as a TH10, anyone can.[/QUOTE
a few too many sips of the CoC Kool Aid
No disrespect intended but Im a TH9 LVL100 C3 (been C1, C2 and G1 since Sep update) max weapons, max troops, working on lvl9 walls right now and loot is and has been horrible !
I could but wont go to TH10, cuz I don't want to deal with worse loot while having a ton of new weapons to upgrade. I'm already frustrated at TH9 !!
My game isn't Pushing or Farming I like to hunt(loot) and upgrade my base.
At 1600 trophies you are not even attacking max TH8 bases much less TH9's...
So are you recommending that TH10's and TH9's all drop down and attack bases with yellow walls??
I don't think that's what you want, cuz I know when a solid TH10 hits me and I have all black walls and max guns I get steamrolled !!
No the answer is to fix the loot issue for each TH level not just the lower levels...
Sooner or later you will max out TH9, or get to Crystal and you will find what everyone is talking about.. Its a baron waist land of nexting and frustration !!
All the best buddy !!
I just accidentally ended the battle accidentally while trying to deploy my first troop on the left hand side of the screen. 350K both and 2.2k de. Enjoy the loot that I was dumb enough to miss - the base is still out there in Gold 1.
As a relatively new TH 10 (one IT at level 2, one IT going to level 3, 4 WTs at level 8, 1 HT at level 8, 1 HT going to level 8, 4 ATs at level 12, 1 AT going to level 12, and all other defenses at TH 9 max levels; troops/spells that still need to done - dragon, goblins, lightning, jump 1 level, freeze 2 levels, hound 1 level) that recently barched to Champs and is now farming in M3, here are my observations.
- Starting at high C3 and definitely by mid-M3, virtually every opponent that one finds is not only a TH 10 but a maxed defense TH 10.
- The number of inactives that are shown takes a steep hit in going from C2 to C1, becoming a rarity at M3, and being non-existent at M2 and higher.
- There is a marked elixir shortage at M3 and above. This makes it a challenge with (1) if one is fielding only cost and time intensive armies while attempting to simultaneously farm.
- The number of available collector raids drops markedly the higher up one goes.
- The change in the loot bonus has helped. One can still spell-less barch, albeit with level 7 barbarians and archers and 240 camp space, comfortably, but the loot bonus, at times, is greater than what one can get from the collector raids.
- The TH 10 upgrade costs and build times substantially slow the rate of progression.
- The ability to collect DE is substantially better, oft times due to the loot bonus, at M3 and higher (e.g. 47k de in two days with lazy barching and only one 2 hour boost session with 2 rax and AQ).
- The sweet spot for dead base collector raids was (not sure if it is now) low C2.
I can sit and play 30-40 min a couple of times per day. Plus the occaisional raid whenever I have a few minutes to spare. Because I dont have to spend 20 minutes nexting to get 175-200k (with the league bonus), it works out.
There are definitely fewer dead bases these days, but barching is definitely still efficient at higher leagues with the bonuses. I farmed 4 mil yesterday. Not nearly as nice as when I was a th9, but enough to keep up with two week upgrades. I wish the loot were still easy but it just isnt. Still having enough fun to keep playing though.
Unfortunately the only options now are to drop trophies and attack people much weaker than you are for paltry results (using cheaper armies) or climb up past crystal to farm league bonus. These are currently the only two options for active game play since the "good loot days" are so randomly spread out. And by "good" I mean anything better than simply adequate.
Yep. Broad fixs addressing the manufacture of resources (hard sources) as well as the targeted introduction of loot from thin air or inactives that can be throttled up or down as needed (soft sources).
Yooooooooooooo
I am having hard time to breath , W H A T THE H E L L. Whats this ♥♥♥♥ing poor bases eery where tired of spending 15 min netting and over 200k gold. Seriously what is this ?????????????????????
I am am about to go crazy now .
Enough ulaaaannnn
loot sucks since Sunday. what have you done again ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥?
Back in October 2012, before we were even able to boost barracks, I farmed around 2 million gold every hour using archers and goblins as th7. Mainly collector raids as I was a premmie and too noob to raid storages
Back in June 2013, I farmed around 2 million gold every hour with all barracks boosting as th9, doing both collector raids and storage raids. 😆 Not as pro as other farmers though
Earlier on in June 2014, I farmed around 1.5 million gold every hour with all barracks boosting as th10, doing both collector raids and storages raids. 😆 Still not as pro as other farmers though
Now, I spent around 200k to 300k gold nexting because all the base I found offered maximum 25k elixir 😤 I feel so pro 😤 yay I am finally a pro in nexting 😤
I think, by the next update, I will be even more pro because I will be given the opportunity to spend even more gold on nexting. I am so looking forward to finding 400 to 500 base that offer maximum 25k elixir wow I feel so excited. Wow after playing for more than two years I finally got the chance to be a pro in nexting wow other games suck I want to press next in other games also cannot
Can we have a leaderboard for nexting? I am not pro in trophy hunting or pro in farming, but I am finally a pro, in nexting.
Just hit next 96 times to get 200k gold and 100k elixir. The game sucks like this. I hate Supercell.
Currently its better to log in for CW and nothing else. Attacking for 100k resources is not going to pay the bills when you get counter raided for 300k trying to get upgrade fund built up. Its not really a threat but I wont be playing this APP if its this boring much longer. Its been since Sept this way.
Look, guys, the loot isn't great, but it isn't THAT BAD!!! Today I only played for 2 hours cuz I had a lot of homework, and I farmed 1.5 million gold as a town hall 10 in crystal. Stop trying to look for solutions like loot bonus farming in masters ( Where your Gold Grab doesn't even go up), and find a good range for you lower in cups. The reason why you're all getting horrible loot is cuz you're all like, "OMG THE LOOT'S REALLY HORRIBLE NOW I HAVE TO FARM IN MASTERS FOR BAD LOOT",WHEN ITS ALWAYS BEEN HERE IN CRYSTAL 3!!!!! Not to mention, look at the youtubers like Alex the great's premature account and Daddy who both have almost a billion GG, and they farm usually in gold or crystal 3, at most.

Thank you oh wise one for sharing your wisdom with me, one small wrinkle in your advice - it doesn't work, you've got it wrong lol, figure out what you're talking about before you start shouting out all the things you think we're doing wrong, the one thing yyou got right - the loot isn't great!
Loot isn't bad at all right now in crystal 3...:)
Ive been up and down from gold to masters, and I'm back in C3 as we speak. That's great you're finding loot, but I, and lots of others in gold, crystal and masters, are not, and have not. Accept that some people are gifted with loot when others in the exact same spot are not. It's nothing we're doing wrong...how many different ways are the to hit the next button ffs? We can't raid what isn't there. Whatever they use to determine matchmaking means that some people find loot consistently, and others never do, no matter the cups, time of day, the way they hold their tongue when they hit find match etc. I have people in my clan raiding at the exact same trophy level, at the exact same times, yet the loot offered is poles apart.
Found a dead base in M3 yesterday.... with loot...
Yes you heard me... a dead, xbow with no ammo, inferno all black, mine/collector full, base!
First time in weeks
i emptied my army on it!!! :o:o:o:o
Oh and i should mention, a clannie who is beside me in trophy level is just telling me how he is not using his full army any more so he can stay in M3 and have some troops for his next attack...
He is literally going from raid to raid on elixir...
Thats kinda sad.
Loot problems? Easy fix for SC: Make TH hold 25% of loot. So everyone have to put TH inside. No insta shields anymore. I'm ready for a challenge. Are you?
I'm not for making more inactives available. Boooriinnggg...
Think about this...
You have 2m gold / lix in storages.
You want to log off
You have some skull / lego walls left to upgrade.
You upgrade them, better keep the loot in your base than be stolen, right?
You log off with only 500k - 1m resource in storages...
The next attacker that comes upon your base skips because they are not interested in raiding a strong TH9 for 50k of each.
Question, when players can sink resource like this (And it is good that they can) does it really matter where your TH is?
The issue is the economy. It does not work. Having active players raid active players (who just logged off) all of whom have the ability to sink resource into walls / upgrades is flawed.
TH inside / worth 25% of available loot does not address this.
Solutions :
Provide much greater access to abandoned bases (those off line for 12hrs+)
Provide greater loot bonuses to supplement poor loot in player bases
Provide additional ways to generate loot - single player - quests - more involved war (ie build an empire and get regular income from conquered foes, etc).
More collectors are not the answer. We need to be challenged to generate the loot as opposed to just passively collecting it...but right now I would say I am 95% bored and 5% challenged. ie I can crack open the bases but I am typically too bored to play. I'd much rather it be harder to break into a base / get loot but see much more consistent rewards to keep me wanting to "try". The game has devolved into pressing next for the majority of your play time - its just rubbish...
No It sounds as the worst idea ever and it would just kill the game really quick for all farmers.
If you want to ride people with their townhall inside, just climb to a higher pokalrange.
Imagine each shield costing you at least 100k every time you log off when you try to save up for expensive upgrades, probably much more. All farmers must then stay online for long periods and/or would most likely dump all avaliable resources in walls etc.
When you think about it farmers are the ones exposing their base most of the time. At the same time they usualy have more on storrage as the outside TH makes it worth taking the chance. Its actually up to you If you go for the storrages or just snipe the Townhall and look for collectors. While hunters run out of resources after a while and ride shields as long as they can. Why do you think they run out of resources to upgrade buildings?
This idea does not generate new loot into the system which is what we need. So what if you raid my TH for even 100% of my loot since I am only offering 25k loot, lol. You see.
now if they add a defensive bonus to win on defense, then we have no loot revenue created.
I'm bored with coc. There is no loot. I have spent 2 years playing clash but it is no longer fun. Raiding takes too long now and feels pointless since I rarely make up the loot i spend on my army or by pressing next.
DO I quit playing? I really don't want to but again, I am bored. I have raided once since Sunday and it is Thursday. I am so bored and quite frankly, angry.
