The same for me, a lot of youtube videos show them.
They dry out the game by selecting only 250K loot base et press the automatic search button...

SC cannot do anything in front of that, the generalization of it will soon kill the game.
So much player start to use it to "stay active" and actually for "special customized search".

No good solution for "classical" player...

Youtube videos are junk in terms of showing what there. With that said. I'm th9 and I'm content with camping in crystal 1 and masters 3. I think SC is trying to push people to go to where they should be for their respective level and i don't think that is really a bad thing. Is it harder than barching every 4 minutes? sure. But it is way more fun cuz I'm sick sick of mindless barching.

I was thinking in terms of how many times he is hitting the Next button. I can easily spend 30 mins just nexting to find bases worth raiding, but this guy is building his army and finding huge juicy bases all withing like 15-20 mins, that is why I think he is using 3rd party software to enhance his searching.

All that does in next until a base with their selected amount of loot shows up. There is no way to circumvent the nexting system and place a higher priority on inactives. Bots are just the trendy bugaboo these days. They do not affect the overall loot.

Of they do... firstly they can next a lot faster than you or I can manually. Secondly you don't have the boredom factor, or be prepared for settle for a worse base if the automated software is doing all the work for you.


Thirdly, if you are searching manually, against automated software the chances are it will find one of those bases quicker than you do and if you then factor that by however many thousands of people are using them, you suddenly find it very hard to find loot....

I thought as much. I do believe you are getting those attacks, but I am now pretty certain, given your response, that you are not doing it honestly.

You were very quick to come here and show off those screen logs and you have the mind technical enough to achieve that, but suddenly you can;t record your screen... sorry man, just not buying it all.

Repeat getting screenshot is only a two buttons combo for video suppose u need a program or app but anyway im not interesting in waste my time in that....
I said in my first post that dont know if that was luck (sure it is), or if SC change something since hallowen update but its true i noticed two days ago that the loot is very good for me, totaly agree on the opinion of the mayority people who answer this thread that loot sucks since lava hounds update.

The loot you get now during "happy hour" after a maintenance break, was the loot you used to get pre December all the time...

I couldnt raid as i was unable to update due to Insufficient storage space, Thanks Android. So i am in normal loot cycle nexting.

My game time has dropped a lot. i hope i dont lose interest and still keep all my builders busy. I am waiting for December. Hopefully Christmas 1 gem boost all month can change things and by then Supercell figures out the fixt for loot issue

Only said since yesterday im getting good bases to raid thats all...
Since lava hounds update i was on 2400 trophies and imposible to farm there only gets bad bases of full storage whith maxed TH10 imposible to make something... expend more gold nexting than i win.
I just drop down trophies until 1800-1900 trophies (gold league), and now my loot is decent luckyest or i dont know but i got good bases since halloween update.
Just post that interested if someone happend or noticed this too or not.
Perhaps today or tomorrow ill only take bad bases to raid and bored pressing nexting.

Envy Much? I find good loot all the time.

I am not one to complain easily but I have noticed in league gold 3 it has become almost impossible to find raid above 100k, the majority is around 30-50k which isn't worth attacking even with barch.

Also, I did notice another side effect of the bad loot. I have seen that TH9 and TH10s are moving back to lower leagues like gold 3 to search for the better loots.

I have had TH10s rip 300k each of me while I had struggle to collect me the next 2.5 illion for the next upgrade.

It used to be better.

On the positive side, the game is now definately more challenging for me, lol!

Yes ! you are true ! it cost a lot sometime (gold only)....

But they can easily, without get bored, find the famous dead villages we spoke about.
Even if it cost around 200/300K gold, the Bot find it !

And for helix and dark, it's perfect, not for gold, that's true.

The generalization of this kind of software kill the game because it concentrate resources on several players
who use this kind of bot (do i have to jailbreak my IOS machine too?).

This thread has run its course. No-one is listening. There is no dialogue with anyone who can address the loot issue, and it has become a smoke screen for Supercell to avoid their cutomer complaints. The spoilers are having fun winding up the rest of us.

Perhaps the game has been taken in a direction by its user base that conflicts with Supercell's business model. Farming may have become over sophisticated to the detriment of gemming which is the revenue earner. The demographic may have become skewed away from the kid's game that Supercell's marketing addresses. A community of older, wiser and less impulsive players might conflict with the young, high attrition rate but allowance spending youngsters that might offer a better income for the developers.

The petty changes to league and war bonuses do nothing to balance, for example, the impact of E for walls or the developing 4th mortar defence improvements. These recent changes are diametrically opposed to resolving the loot issues raised in this thread.

I continue to play the game because of its social side, clan wars and the investment I have already made. I doubt Supercell would give a toss if I, and thousands like me, left the game. Their focus is on the millions who provide them with revenue and who stick to the original playing format of the game. I doubt any input made here will make one jot of difference to Supercell's thinking or future development plans, as the latest updates demonstrate.

It is good to get it off my chest though. Perhaps that is the purpose of this thread.

About time SuperCell came back to us with some more info of what they feel the problem is and how they plan to work in a fix.

SupercellSteve even acknowledged numerous times that their communication left a lot to be desired, yet here we are another week after those posts and still no wiser to what they feel the problem is or even when/if they can fix it.

Very poor.

I welcome the increase of loot bonus for leagues and clanwars, but unfortunately this does not fix the issue at all.

I'm still nexting 100's of times trying to find a base with more than 100K in order to attack.

try Hogbarching, very nice army. This army allows me to do many things. Storage raids , collector raids etc. with half an army its quite easy to win against a premmie base.

Didn't kill the game when they did it twice last year... But then that WAS prior to the December loot update...

The loot system as it is at the moment just does not make sense whatsoever. Supercell wants to encourage storage raiding,nbut at the same time hangs on to a system in which the big loot comes from the collectors of abandoned bases. I cant see how this system is ever going to work, as long as it's still more profitable to build a cheap army and keep pressing next until one finally happens to come across a collector raid.

If I was Supercell, I'd do this:

- reduce the amount lootable from collectors to 40%. Collector raids are still there, but the profits are greatly reduced to reflect army cost and difficulty
- slightly reduce the amount a player will lose when raided, for example TH8 cap would be at 200k rather than 300.
- put a system generated bonus on each storage of something like 50k. So every TH8 would have minimum 150k available, maximum 350k.
- maybe increase the loot penalty for hitting one TH below to reflect the fact that getting all storages is relatively easy when attacking down.

Would that work? What do you think?

I like the idea of a bonus on a storage. Could work really well. A th9 storage could be worth more than a th8 storage etc..

It would certainly encourage boosting that's for sure.

I doubt it would happen. SC seem determined to be stingy as possible economy wise

I think he was talking about an additional bonus that appears out of nowhere, like the league bonus, but applied to individual storages.

That being said, I don't agree with decreasing loot on collector raids. The loot just needs to be increased overall. I would not be able to max my base any faster if I had to go after storage raids all the time. And collector bases are out there, just not all the time. It will be at random times that they are really present. Just in the past 4 hours, it was collector galore and I did a ton of lvl 9 walls.

A minimum amount, guaranteed, is what I think we need - as he suggested. Pressing next is the main issue with CoC and a guaranteed "acceptable" raid that means you make a good profit on every raid removes that. If you want to press next looking for 300k+, fine, but at least the 150k would be there as a minimum - which is profitable (potentially).

The issue now is there are so many raids pushed to our queue that require significant effort to raid but only deliver minuscule loot - like sub 50k, certainly sub 100k 90% of the time in my experience.

It depends how you look at things. The last one was in December, released with the loot update. The economy was wonderful, so having a large increase in demand was possible without ruining it too much (I personally think that the economy needs a few months to recover from such an event). Now that loot is scarce, I wonder what will happen when you will be able to raid 4x faster while producing ressources only 2x faster.

But if they "release" inactive bases, I guess it will be sustainable.

Loot is there it's just people don't wanna take a lot for time searching.

no seriously... I pass 10min nexting finding nothing over 120k gold OR elixir (never both at the same time)

and i'm there trying to save ressources with 3M elix (trying to get 6M for research) and 1M gold (all builder busy)

at that rate, i can't save for new research... I can't stay logged for hours just to wait for troops and raid (I have, like lots of us, work to do and irl things to accomplish) and can only grab like 120k elix and get raided for 350k each times i log off...

and yes, my th is outside... worst than that... people intentionnaly leave my base at 39%...

This x1000. I'm not sure why everyone doesn't talk about this more. The issue is nexting, and how so many bases are worthless to attack. If SC wants us to attack actives, fine, but make them worth our time/cost.

That would be so stupid SC would make no income with the Gold1 Loot bonus at 150k, the Highest loot bonus is only 180k your crazy.

I have noticed better loot since the update in C3. If you are TH9 and in Gold1 you are doing something wrong.

Agreed. Move up to Crystal II. A lot better there with the bonus at 50k

What if you're not TH9 or 10? What if you're just beginning TH8? From Silver3 to Gold1, there is NOTHING, average gold : 50k, average lix: less to waaaaay less than 50k.

Go up in crystal: get your ♥♥♥ handed to you by queens and level6 giants as soon as you're close to the sum needed for an upgrade.

Go down in trophies : just drown in the TH5/6 mud puddle and die of nexting boredom.

Conclusion: if you're HDV7/8 and hope to build an inferno tower before this game's completely broken and dead, you'd better start saving cash to gem like crazy. That was the plan all along, right?

THANK YOU SC! It went from free-to-play to pay-to-win if you're a middle level. And let's be clear, starting to play it now is just a waste of time, you'll NEVER get to the good part.

Sure, there are dry patches during certain times of day and/or on the weekend, but in general I've been actually really happy with the loot situation lately, and the league bonus changes just is the icing. C2 is where it's at for me. Great mix of 'easy' raids to go with the fatter 100k G+E and 200 DE to boot.

Been playing a lot more boom beach lately and the economics of that game are so much better (I won't explain the differences, I'm sure a lot of people can see for themselves). IMO Clash is a much better game to play, however the fact that you actually get to play Boom, without nexts, makes the game better atm. Nexting disrupts the flow of the game and really frustrates a player. The next system will always be part of the game but something needs to be done to cut down on the nexting for a player to find a base worth raiding. I don't mean finding an easy inactive base, it can be active and full of loot, I do not care. Twice yesterday I searched for 10-15 minutes to find loot over 200k, I didn't see anything over 50k the whole time. I just wanted to play and not next for 10-20 minutes.

Wouldn't a better solution to this issue not be to just "add loot" to the economy, as this would do, but instead make use of the Nexting cost by allowing a portion of each consecutive Next go into a fund on that base where up to all of it can be won, by either the raider or defender? Every consecutive Next would gradually make each base a more viable target, despite it still having a dismal sub 50k of each resource in the resources the players has in his storages on his own.

Check out what I thought would be an effective implementation of increasing the potential for bigger hauls on these low-loot bases, without having to artificially inject loot into the bases to hit them. I can't seem to get any feedback so I don't know if this would be a good or bad idea, but some response would at least give an alternative (or supportive) perspective to it. There are two links in this post, they address two different implementations that could curb the problems we're seeing with this loot drought when searching. The 2nd link explains this allocation of Nexting cost.

I felt the same way. But I'm up in Crystal 2 now, sitting on near maxed loot available to raiders, and I get TH sniped the second I log off, usually by a TH7/8, and sometimes by TH9s too. They'd rather take the cheap league bonus than have a go at the base. This doesn't happen on my alternate account down in the gold leagues, b/c the league bonus doesn't provide much, so I don't get sniped as quickly and it allows for a player with a serious army to come through and crack into my base. This is the problem people are saying: the loot is there, not all of it are being emptied into walls like we see in 97% of bases we're Nexting through. They're being hidden behind cheap TH shields that are re-upped immediately after the 12-hr shield wears off with another snipe.

Go up to the link I posted and let me know if what I mentioned, what other people have already proposed, would help in curbing this issue. I can't seem to get any feedback on it, so I just keep assuming that there is something wrong with it that maybe I'm not seeing.

It is becoming impossible to play coc, it is a full time job. Literally. You can not be a casual player for a quick few mins as you would spend 5 mins nexting. I'm a th10 and it is pointless smashing villages with a massive army composition anymore because you won't get your elixor back!! Let alone a profit.. So you barch instead right? Nope. Cant find any collectors with anything in them! All dry.. Asif xbows/infernos and AQ/BK weren't hard enough to get around now there's another mortar. And I can't find any bases, well rarely find a base with more then 110k combined loot.. ♥♥♥???!
God help farmers, if they get raided 250k it will take them a week to earn it back, but the problem there is they will get raided again every night they got to sleep! So where just going down.

I'm about to quit as the loot is nonexistent. Playing this game is becoming a chore rather than an enjoyable hobby.

Check out what I thought would be an effective implementation of increasing the potential for bigger hauls on these low-loot bases, without having to artificially inject loot into the bases to hit them. i don't know, but it feels to me as if it would require an awful lot of nexting for a base to become a viable target. I'd prefer a solution which cuts down on nexting, rather than rely on hundred of thousands of them to take place to increase loot...

supercell has to artificially inject loot into the economy anyway. At the moment, they are doing this by releasing inactive bases into the system at a rate unknown (but heatedly discussed) by the forum. I'm proposing to take this loot and redistribute it in accordance with the developers long-term plans for the game (= into the storages, since storage raiding is the vision SC has for the game). Is it viable? I don't know, I don't have the data. I just know that every time I press the "attack" button I think about how stupid a system it is that supposedly encourages more interesting storage raiding - only the only loot is found in collectors... It's bizarre I'm supposed to build a strong, expensive army which actually will yield less return than barch. Or just throwing a handful of goblins at collectors.

The bots are more effecient at finding the Dead bases. increases the number of searchable dead bases feeds the bots not the farmers

What we currently have is a system that requires an awful amount of Nexting to find a base that more than often ends up not even being worth it anyway, with all that Nexting cost vanishing from the economy. This would actually cut down on the amount of Nexting. True, for a base with little loot in storages (sub 50k/50k) to become attractive to hit, it would require lots of people to have Nexted it, but that doesn't necessarily mean YOU will have had to Next a lot.

Let's say they start it at 100% of the Next cost going into the base, diminishing at just 1% per respective resource used for each consecutive Next before being hit (this might be too high but it's just to show the example). So there is hardly any loot in the storage of this base, it's not a base people want to hit. Again, for simplicity's sake in terms of math, let's say all TH10s are the bases Nexting over it (1k each). 100 people who are frustrated with Nexting skip over it, half use Gold and half use Elixir for that particular base. That's 50k/50k that would normally vanish from the economy. Applying a 1% diminshing return for each consecutive Next, now 38,505 of each resource are placed into a "bubble loot" that is available to be taken, depending on how many storages/TH they destroy and if they win the battle. It doesn't seem like a lot, but factor in the league bonus, the loot that--albeit small--is actually in the storages, along with this method of allowing some of the cost to search bases go into a potential pool for the victor of the battle to win (again, not all of this is guaranteed, it's based on getting the victory AND how many storages/TH you can destroy/protect), and now every time somebody comes across this base, it becomes harder and harder to pass up. Whereas in the current system this base would be Nexted thousands upon thousands of times because it would forever just have that dismal amount of loot in storages.

The problem people are facing now is with loot (mainly elixir) being almost nonexistent due to active, offensively-established THs now being able to dump all their storage elixir into walls. Responsible, active farmers are keeping their storages low so they can't lose it. But they have to spend gold (and in this scenario, the option of elixir) to hunt for bases. Think of this portion allocated per Next as a "storage"--a storage that these active players cannot dump into walls b/c the loot hasn't been realized yet. It's being gradually accumulated as a "potential to earn" that is funded through other active farmers that pay to search for each base. It doesn't break the economy because it's using loot naturally generated to fund it. Hell, set the first Next allocation at 50% if they want, so that every Next beyond the first one is still taking more gold/elixir out of the system than is retaining to be potentially earned. What happens is you now have driven a market on farming that is correlated with activity. The more active their overall playerbase is, the higher opportunities there are to farm more effectively. I would absolutely continue to boost my barracks with expensive loonion troops if I knew that there would be a base that, in one form of another, would have the potential to reward my efforts. With the current system we have, it is utterly insane to use anything other than BArch/BAM to raid if you hope to make any progress on elixir.

SuperCell is not "injecting loot" by "releasing inactives" into the system. If this ran as a free market, without interference, these inactives would be showing up at the same rate as active bases. SuperCell is REMOVING these bases from the matchmaking system; they are artificially manipulating the economy to not allow inactives to be the main source of farming. Hitting inactive bases that generate loot genuinely from collectors is not injecting loot into the economy, and is much different than what you suggested of setting a "minimum loot bonus" on low storage bases. That is the definition of artificially injecting loot. League bonuses artificially inject (or artificially offer, rather) loot into the economy. SuperCell is not releasing inactives to be hit, they are removing them.

Allowing loot spent searching through active bases to accumulate and be earned by these same active bases, be it the attacker or defender, is just encouraging the direction SC wants this game to head--towards active players who will spend gems and generate revenue for the company, not towards hitting inactive players who have quit the game and therefore will obviously not be purchasing gems either.

Still finding loot terrible. The increase of League bonus and War win is a step in the right direction but it falls far from being a solution to the current loot crisis.

Please SC, pull your finger out before it is too late. A lot of longterm players are getting disappointed with the lack of loot and variation to this game. The games economics and gameplay drastically needs fixing.

SC playing coc is not a job we are not supposed to be stuck for hours nexting and saying wth ill take this idiotic 200 k base ,COC is supposed to be a game that you can play in your FREE time ,free meaning after ,we have gave quality time to our family ,jobs and all that regular stuff that people that dont live in their mom's basement do.So please focus your time where it should be ,like getting the means(LOOT) to players who support your company.I have gemmed some important upgrades times and barracks/ spells but I will NEVER gem resources. Thanks for listening if you guys actually read this.

If you can't see the problem Supercell is facing here then you are a complete moron.

Supercell earns no money from inactive bases, or people who quit. Those three were not just casual "pick up the game, fart around to TH5/6 after a couple months and then lose interest" players who quit from boredom, which Supercell cannot help. This happened because of a vital flaw in the game, the looting system, that becomes apparent to loyal players that make it to TH9/10. This company absolutely does not want to lose its dedicated playerbase, and especially not when it's apparent that it's happening later on in the game due to a systematic problem that is completely fixable.

I think upgrading to TH 10 was the mistake i made, for the first time since 1.5 years I'm thinking to stop playing

how is supercell not doing something about the bots. I'm a developer myself, I know it's not easy to detect them all. But I know you can query your database for extreme numbers. 1000+ won attacks is not a reasonable number. Review some of the players attacks and ban them permanently.

and something else, let us hep you. Give us the option to report suspicious attacks. If you receive xx reports for a player review his attacks (it's very easy to tell a bot attack) and ban permanently for dishonesty

I hit next 98 times (nothing close to 100k resources) and was logged out due to server sync bull ♥♥♥♥. Logged back in 1- 2 minutes later to find my base already under attack and I got hammered, losing 200k each and 1k de. How in the u know what is this possible.... This isn't the first time either: 45, 112, 58, 89 etc... times hitting next button and then log off in disgust, to only be hammered again and again... Constantly breaking shields, thinking I can get ahead and get enough to do a decent upgrade. It's a no win situation and I have worked real jobs that were more fun than this game is now. To the SC lovers - get f'ed, their is no magic trophy range, no magic army or strat. It's all irrelevent: no loot, lose loot searching and lose loot being attacked at top of que. Time to uninstall this pos...

Loot is horredously bad. If th9 players are suffering from this dry loot problem, i pity th10 players.

Increasing the production speed of the mines and collectors 2 to 4 times will probably solve half of the loot problem in the game.

I don't care what some are saying that there was never a problem with the loot system. I know it didn't effect everyone, but it DID effect about 98% of everyone in our clan of a usual staff of constant 48 members.......

It's impossible for it to be a coincidence that the one update/maintenance break caused Extremely LOW loot and absurd amounts of coin to find one just to break even or continue to spend coin to find one that you can get about 150,000 in Elixir. I just chalked up the coin as loss. and then the Halloween Update IMMEDIATELY Improved/somewhat fixed it to where at least i can find one within 8 minutes and about 40,000 of coin. Even the very first scouting trip i found a great one in about 5 tries. So that was happiness for me, :). i also got enough DE in the last raid to upgrade my barb King again. so, thanks, cause it was getting old... 'getting a little, getting a little, getting a little', then getting raided for more than i just got all day, and so on. Now, he's under the knife now and will wake a little happier than he was before tomorrow.

The Loot still is not as good as it was, I have only found ONE abandoned base that hasn't recently been raided since the Halloween update. but i can certainly work with it. I have also been raided more often with Extreme Prejudice, like one minute after shield runs out (while i'm getting my Coffee refill - thats cruel, lol) and instead of getting 5-8 ppl only sniping a Town hall in a row before a heavy raid, they go for broke. but i can deal with that. I haven't been 3 starred in weeks. but have lost a LOT of loot since the Halloween update. But again, i can deal with that, because i can find loot again & replace any loss. Just takes more effort.

- My issue now isn't a problem with SuperCell now, my iPad is having major charging issues. My Kids dropped it a few times. hey, it happens. And i don't know my login info so i cannot transfer it to another device yet. I've emailed them over 2.5 months ago. But i'm sure they will help when they get to my email. I'm hopeful. I need it, id hate to lose that account. I don't have another account. well, i didn't know what the game was when i downloaded it, or if i'd even like it so i didn't keep track of how i logged in. yes, my fault (and rare for me to do anyway. If i was home when i did it, i woulda wrote it down). Anyway.....

Not complaining here. I'm HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY that the loot has improved to where I can play war, donate GOOD troops like a madman to everyone again and still go out and replace it or get enough to keep it going thru Wars. As i did before the "Crash" of Clans Loot system, lol.

Anyway, I can now get the upgrades going again and I can work with this improvement and I THANK YOU Smart people at SuperCell! for making the game playable again. Giant Smile/Grin :D


BTW to Clarify: I got the TH 8 the same day the Loot Crash Break happened and I'm Exp. Level 74 (if that matters). So i still have much of Everything to upgrade except for Archers L5. Still half way out to getting another troop in the lab.

it takes me about 30 next to find a base that have 150k resources combined and when i do its a almost maxxed out th10 with well protected storages...no point in attacking when u already know that ill prob get half the resources. Im around 2600trophies.

I agree with all the above. The loot shortage is hurting us not Supercell. They ignore this thread because it doesn't matter to them. If those of us who are getting fed up with the game were to leave, it wouldn't make the tiniest difference to Supercell. They are not represented here because it would be inconvenient to spend time on issues that do not affect their bottom line. Do not expect any improvement in the loot situation, all that Supercell has done recently has made it worse. A few tiny gestures to keep face, but nothing substantial to improve the situation. Hard to accept, but we really are not the players Supercell want to attract. Noobs with money for gems is all they are interested in.

Last week i was barchin in gold 1 and finding dead bases within 30-40 skips with a minimum of 200k of both. Lately its been really bad. I was barchin with all barracks boosted and just about got over a mill gold. finding hardly anything. Anyone else feeling the same pain lol

I'm having the same experience today. In 40mins of raiding I got approximately 1mil gold and 1 mil elixir using bam in crystal2 on collectors. I was thinking maybe I was just having a good run too. Hasn't been like this since the wall update for me and almost as good as before it. Never had to next over 50 times I think which is a huge surprise. I hope this continues and gets even better as the game is almost playable again.

Not sure where supercell announced that they were releasing more inactive bases but this is possibly what has happened. Anyone have a link to where they have said this?

Has far as the increase of loot bonus and clan war loot goes I think it has been a conservative approach by them and doesn't seem to go far enough but I guess they do not want loot to be to abundant either so I get the conservative approach. I guess with a bit of time they will be able to see the impact of it on the overall economy and may intend to adjust it further in the future.

I was close to quiting over the loot situation a month ago so its nice to see them take steps to address it. I still think more needs to be done though to balance it as I think for most it is still too scarce.

Still finding decent bases, shifted from collector raids to storage raids last couple of days! Keep the faith!

I'm th9, getting good loot from gold 3 to gold 1, don't seem to have a problem keeping all 5 builders working, barching storages

Glad someone is finding loot. I re installed to try the game for a while longer to see if the update really added loot to the game. Farmed all day today and found one decent raid.

Last week i was barchin in gold 1 and finding dead bases within 30-40 skips with a minimum of 200k of both. Lately its been really bad. I was barchin with all barracks boosted and just about got over a mill gold. finding hardly anything. Anyone else feeling the same pain lol

It doesn't seem like a lot, but factor in the league bonus, the loot that--albeit small--is actually in the storages, along with this method of allowing some of the cost to search bases go into a potential pool for the victor of the battle to win (again, not all of this is guaranteed, it's based on getting the victory AND how many storages/TH you can destroy/protect), and now every time somebody comes across this base, it becomes harder and harder to pass up. Whereas in the current system this base would be Nexted thousands upon thousands of times because it would forever just have that dismal amount of loot in storages.

The problem people are facing now is with loot (mainly elixir) being almost nonexistent due to active, offensively-established THs now being able to dump all their storage elixir into walls. Responsible, active farmers are keeping their storages low so they can't lose it. But they have to spend gold (and in this scenario, the option of elixir) to hunt for bases. Think of this portion allocated per Next as a "storage"--a storage that these active players cannot dump into walls b/c the loot hasn't been realized yet. It's being gradually accumulated as a "potential to earn" that is funded through other active farmers that pay to search for each base. It doesn't break the economy because it's using loot naturally generated to fund it. Hell, set the first Next allocation at 50% if they want, so that every Next beyond the first one is still taking more gold/elixir out of the system than is retaining to be potentially earned. What happens is you now have driven a market on farming that is correlated with activity. The more active their overall playerbase is, the higher opportunities there are to farm more effectively. I would absolutely continue to boost my barracks with expensive loonion troops if I knew that there would be a base that, in one form of another, would have the potential to reward my efforts. With the current system we have, it is utterly insane to use anything other than BArch/BAM to raid if you hope to make any progress on elixir.

SuperCell is not "injecting loot" by "releasing inactives" into the system. If this ran as a free market, without interference, these inactives would be showing up at the same rate as active bases. SuperCell is REMOVING these bases from the matchmaking system; they are artificially manipulating the economy to not allow inactives to be the main source of farming. Hitting inactive bases that generate loot genuinely from collectors is not injecting loot into the economy, and is much different than what you suggested of setting a "minimum loot bonus" on low storage bases. That is the definition of artificially injecting loot. League bonuses artificially inject (or artificially offer, rather) loot into the economy. SuperCell is not releasing inactives to be hit, they are removing them.

Allowing loot spent searching through active bases to accumulate and be earned by these same active bases, be it the attacker or defender, is just encouraging the direction SC wants this game to head--towards active players who will spend gems and generate revenue for the company, not towards hitting inactive players who have quit the game and therefore will obviously not be purchasing gems either.

I knew I would get into a debate about semantics when I used the term "releasing inactives" - but I don't believe it matters much which term I use to describe Supercells managing of inactives. Bottom line is, they are manipulating the amount of inactive bases in the system, and they have to, else, after 2 years of clash we would be swamped by them. They are managing them to inject the right amount of additional loot into the economy (of the active players).

I think the system needs a radical change. I don't think collector and storage raids can co-exists, especially when it's the collector raids that bring in the big loot. Many months after the introduction of the new, improved loot system, that supposedly is encouraging storage raiding, and 90% of replays shared in any of the clans I've been in are of barch collector raids of big loot bases. I don't think the collectors of inactive players should be the main source of income for the active players, because it's boring and lacking in challenge.

But I also agree with those that say we're wasting our breath here, unlikely that Supercell is going to change much while the game is still bringing in the profits.

Loot has been absolutely incredible for me today too. Been finding plenty of loaded collector bases and so has everybody in my clan. Also, the dark elixir in crystal 3 has been way too easy. This morning when I woke up, I had lost 9k DE mainly to zappers (because I accidentally left my th inside) and I was ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Since this morning, I have made almost 30k. The extra loot bonuses are working miracles.

Starting to find dead bases... Yay

It is TERRIBLE. I'm currently in Crystal2 and have shifted from Crystal2 to Crystal3 to gold 1 and near Crystal 2, and no dice. I'm near quitting now. I've nexted over 200 times and the most I've seen is 150k, with the occassional 400k each max th10 base. I finally found 180k elixir and had to settle for that. Supercell please...

Farming will go back to normal when people stop playing again which will be about a month after the update just hang on.

2 things that they should do immediately to fix loot. Please read and absorb before you all scream at me for OMG OP

1)all armies should take the same amount of time to train. Higher elixir is the premium you pay for stronger troops, not time. For example, 1 housing cost takes 30 seconds to build. All troops adopt this model. Golem at 30 housing space would become 15 minutes train time. This would make all armies build in the same time, encouraging players to use stronger troops. Adjust the elixir cost if needed. Want to roll barch every 25 minutes? Sure, it costs 50k. Want to run gowipe every 25 minutes? Sure, it costs 340k. Split the difference with a balloon raid? 150k. Don't punish us both ways (elixir cost, and horribly long build times to create stronger troops)

2) loot bonus should be based on number of stars your get. 2 stars is 1.5x and 3 stars is 2x. Adjust the base bonuses accordingly.

clan wars is all this game has going for it at the moment. But max 2 raids every 2 days is way too infrequent. If I want to play a game at a snails pace, I'll go play correspondence chess.

start making the regular game more like clan wars. Put collector farming in its grave already, remove dead bases completely from the game, and let's attack real bases with real teoops without waiting all day for them to build. Oh yeah, and for a profit too.

The only issue is people got it easy for too long with collector raids, I have never had to next 200 times, nor 100 times for that matter, to many threads about this issue that in all honesty doesn't seem that bad, perhaps hay day would be better for these nexters...

Skipping for 30-40 times already IS bad.

I remember back in the day where you can find reasonable loot in just a couple of skips.

Been finding some collecter bases earlier. Bonus helps out a lot as well.

raiding was great for 8 hrs after maintenance , has gone back to the same old crappy scene for TH 10. Still on a gem hiatus until game is playable again.

It has been the worst that I have seen. I am in crystal 3 and tried going down and now I am trying to go up. Finding decent bases every 250 nexts or so (through a couple of raids)

Loot can be fickle at times. I also in that league, what I found were tons of th 7s with 10-15 k loot. Even the th 10s didn't store more than 80 k. I raid with balloons and I'm sure I can get at least 2-4 storages even against th 10. Thing was, I didn't find storages to raid. And collectors either.

People say that TH8's opinion is not valid when it comes to loot topic but I highly disagree. I've tried Gold III-I for 6 straight days then moved up to Crystal III-I and its all been the same. Its either a maxed town hall 9 with legos or a mid preemie town hall 10 with lv 2 inferno towers. Its impossible to Barch in that trophy range with 200 troops and if I drop to silver III-I, I would be making 60K-80K per raid which is not very profitable and very time consuming. This game is loosing a lot of customers and all Super Cell wants is to create gemmers. Super Cell is forcing you to buy gems to upgrade stuff which is ridiculous in my opinion. If they had good loot, people would spend way more accelerating barracks than buying crappy upgrades.

I've been reading the forum lately and all I see is people complaining about loot. Mostly th9s and 10s. I spent a couple hours today raiding as a th9 in crystal 3-2 with Balloonian and made over 4 mil gold and 20k de. Sure It's not 10mil but it will definitely keep my builders busy. All I did was train balloons in all barracks and minions in both dark barracks. I had my spell factory on the 1 gem boost and it took about a half hour for everything to train. I would attack any th9s I knew I could get the loot off of. I also attacked any collector base. I only attacked if they had 200k+ in gold or elixir or if they had 2k+ de. I didn't have to search more than 30 times to find a raid.

As you can tell by the screenshots below I did use spells most of the time. This is mostly because I'm new to Balloonian and I'm still learning it. Once I get better at it I'm sure I could use 1 or less spell each raid. I don't know about th10s but there is definitely plenty of loot for us th9s. All I'm trying to say here is there is loot all you have to do is find it.

I'm sure he boosts. 30-40 barch attacks an hour sounds about right if you are boosting all 4 barracks.

If anything 4m resources an hour sounds low for that many attacks.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, loot is not terrible like most here say.

I'm sorry to burst your balloons but I farm with barch without spells and still get the same results as yours, maybe even better.

Loot is actually there. The people are complaining because loot can be found eventually if you press next till kingdom come. But why does Supercell have to waste people's time just to find loot?

It doesn't take me more than 5 minutes to find a raid. I really don't see any problems atm.

Just abandoned a barracks boosting session after one hour on pressing next in search of decent loot. I don't want to play a game where I need to press next a hundred times just to make an attack break even.

I used to be able to spend a couple hours in front of the tv farming collectors at 200k in resources each raid with 20-40 nexts. Now collectors are almost always empty. I can't break even

The reality is that there are other games emerging with the same mechanics as COC but don't force players to tap next a hundred times to just break even.

This game just isn't fun anymore.

There is no problem, and thanks for the logs - don't mind the previous poster. You are able to find loot, doesn't matter how you get it. I've been wondering how to better farm de, and it seems balloonian is the way. Good to see army and spell comps.

I barch for gold/elixir in the lower leagues, but the de isn't as plentiful as in your raids.
