i should pay 200k gold +120k elexir per raid to get only 100k loot!
stop raiding until fix the problem....
:(
Agree with posts above. I rarely find storages above 150/150 and can't collect more than 1/2 of that without spells. Builders are idle. Going to go inactive until something changes, the game isn't fun anymore for me.
Cutting training costs for stronger troops doesn't solve the problem that there simply isn't elixir in the storages. In your mind maybe you think it reduces your cost to save for upgrades. Really what will happen is that THs who don't need the elixir will just use even stronger armies more often on bases that can't withstand them, and then they'll still dump all their elixir into walls before logging off.
How does getting rid of the loot penalty do anything except kill progression at lower TH levels? A league bonus loot multiplier based on stars earned that includes a penalty on the multiplier for hitting TH levels below, similar to the current loot penalty, solves this dilemma better.
Ex: You're a TH10 and you find a TH7 up in Crystal 2 with 30k/30k in storages after your 75% penalty? BAM or BArch raid it for 3 stars and get a 2.0x multiplier (or whatever number is appropriate), with a 75% penalty on the multiplier so you end up with 1.25x on the 50k/50k/200, or 62.5k/62.5k/250, along with the 30k/30k to end at 92.5k/92.5k/250. Sure it wasn't massively profitable, but you accomplished the feat of severely dropping their trophies and knocking them out of that league they don't belong in, while not being a total negative to you on elixir costs.
The loot I'm seeing in C3 is a lot better then the loot I saw in G3-G1 before the update. Not great loot, don't get me wrong, but 100k 100k kinda stuff. Enough with my Lvl 6 giant army I can make a small profit. I'd guess about 30K+ elixer 50K+ gold profit. Using 12 lvl6 giants 4 Lvl 1 witches 8wb rest Barch, you do the math if you want.
I was TH8 just awhile ago. I would have loved a 4th mortar to help defend the massive amounts of TH9s hitting me with giants/Barch so a plus in my book for that.
Skeletons don't seem effective against barbs and arch, best for giants ect I think.
I am convinced that people who find loot this quickly and this often are using to third party software to help them search out the loot. Not neccessarily bots that also play the game and attack, but the software you see the vids of on Youtube,[/QUOTE]
I agree. It's not luck anymore, the difference is to big.
I think the league bonus bump will gradually make things better, but loot is woeful today.
Since the update yesterday, I've climbed from 1830 cups up to ~2510 at the moment and loot has been horrible the entire way.
You have presented us with screen grabs which are, quite frankly, impossible to believe. At least if they were taken post-22OCT update, and achieved without the use of unsporting c heat s.
You post 8 attacks. The average loot was 526K per attack. (526 would be a great one-time grab in a string of perhaps a few lower loot raids)
There was a total of less than TWO HOURS of game time between these eight attacks. Perhaps you were gemming your barracks, but that still doesn't explain why there is such short time between finding overflowing inactives. It would take hundreds of Nexts to find one of these bases. And they certainly wouldn't be served on successive searches.
And, finally, your gem count changes not one single unit in each of those four grabs. So I think gemming was happening.
Honestly, if you are running a hoax or sca mming at the game, that is your flaw. But I think the VAST MAJORITY of those who read these posts know that something is not proper with what you posted.
There has been NO clear signs of Supercell wanting to fix it. The last updates were nothing but smokescreen, just enough to make some players curious enough to come back, recreate some loot articially for a few days, maybe trigger a cute little gem-spending frenzy and divert us from the real matter: the game is broken, they know it, we know it.
Thing is, I can't believe it was an "accident", like some unwanted result. There must be some kind of solution, so here lies the question: "Do they even want to fix it?" What they've done so far doesn't even amount to a band-aid on a bleeding wound. If they were really worried about the game's future, they would have tried something to fix it in a way or another.
The only answer I see is that the cash-machine started coughing less and less money, drawing less and less new players (it has to, at some point, it can't last forever) to the point where it's best to let it die and prepare the future.
I don't know what's the average "life duration" of a free-to-play game, but most models are not designed to last more than two or three years, assuming it finds its public, especially on a smartphone (go ask KING and ZYNGA). Anyway, it's pretty obvious the game is clearly closer to its end than to its beginning.
I hope I'm wrong, that SC has something waiting, something big enough to create a new dynamic for some more months, like they did with Clan Wars... If not it can only get worse (in number of players, activity, attraction, and so on), in which case it's just plain simple logic to make the best out of the last months the game has to live, by making it cough some more dollars until nobody cares about it except those who spent hundreds in the game thinking it would last forever.
Anyway I don't blame SC if that's the case. The game has been acclaimed worldwide, it's been downloaded all over the world by a lot ot people, and most of all, it yielded an insane amount of money worldwide, mission accomplished, what's the left is just bonus... They're probably already working on the next big thing...
To conclude... I've started playing less than 3 months ago and I don't think I'll ever reach Town Hall 10, the game will be dead long before that. Seems like I'm too late and missed all the fun :D
Yep, sounds like you definitely missed all the fun... :D
I think a lot of people equate difficult with bad and easy with good. "Loot is not easy, so it is bad." But if it was easy, then the game would be easy, and what fun is that? Loot should be hard, that is what makes it such an accomplishment to max levels and progress in the game.
Difficult is not bad, and even when loot is terrible it is still possible to progress in the game. What would kill the game fastest is easy loot. I have said for a while that loot is too hard, the change was needed. But we don't want easy loot. I think the changes this update were appropriate, just later than it should have been. I hope going forward SC keeps on top of the loot situation and makes changes before they get to this point. It is about balance, and they should have enough data to keep the balance rather than wait this long.
I like difficult. I'm a casual player who doesnt like to barch. I'd much rather go all out on an assault of a camp that was hard to hit, but worth the loot. Difficult is fun! But... Loot is bad because I can't find any camps to hit hard and not take a huge loss on elixir. So I'm left to barch, like I just did.
Dropped shield. TH10, crystal 2. Trying to find any camp to hit with at least 100K elixir. Found one after 16 nexts. But all in storages and wouldn't have gotten any with a barch attack (all stuck in middle with DE storage surrounded by top IT and xbows). So wen't many more nexts and settled on getting 60K lix, because I was sick of nexting...
Undoubtedly, the trend of complaints and general disgruntlement about the CoC economy has peaked in recent weeks. If you are one of those Global Warming conspirators, please step aside, because the in-game environment has steadily and incidentally improved since I started playing, a fact few of you could deny if you’re honestwith yourself (which even includes the nerffed hero update which resulted in so much vitriol and bitterness from the community)
First a little background should hopefully give the naysayers some perspective that I am vested CoC devotee. I’ve been playing since early December,2013. I joined the forums in March of this year, mostly to learn more about this truly entertaining game.I’d like to remind everyone that this game is FREE to download and play. With that in mind, I have gladly given SC agrand total of $39 of my hard earned dollars. The first gem purchase went towards my 4th builder around mid Th8, because of my inability to save those little green jewels as a result of an early addiction to barracks boosting. The second set of gems was purchased just this week and went towards my 5th builder. Why you ask? Because all 4 of my little fat guys were busy building out my new Th9 empire, and I REALLYREALLY wanted to start on that brand new mortar. We have a small clan, made up of fellow Gingers, and yes we are all related. I play with a primary and secondary account, which benefits all those other little Ginger’ites with a steady supply of lv5 wizards. I could update my signature with a link, but I’m too lazy, so instead I’ll post the new Clan tag:#GYGYGRO, if you want to check us out.
I am here to counter the argument the loot issue is as truly dismal as most of this thread would have you believe. I’ll start by addressing the purple stuff. I reached Th9 late Aug. or early Sept. I can’t remember the exact dates of the Elixir for walls update, but it was around the same time. As expected, the initial drain of Elixir in the early phases of a TH upgrade has held true. To that fact, I have managed to cook up Lv6 giants, loons, barbs, and soon to finish archers in the lab, upgraded all 4 army camps, and currentlycooking up a lv4 and lv5 DE pump respectively. As mentioned above, the barracks boost addiction helps, but I usually only boosts one or two times a week immediately preceding a builder finishing up. SC is generous enough to fuel my boost addiction with timely gem boxes, and I give them my thanks. Is army composition important? Of course it is… do the math. If you have to take 4 spells, and a GoWiPe mix every time you fight, then you most likely will be on the losing end of the resource’o’meter at the end of the day. My favorite and primary army composition when on the Elixir hunt is Barch. Why…Because it’s cheap. I’ve noticed a trend that when I’m hunting purple stuff, gold and DE seem to takecare of themselves, as evidenced by my Lv6 AQ.
The bottom line is if you can’t find loot where you are, then look somewhere else. I have been as high as mid C2 and as low as S1 in the past two months. Are cups that precious that you’ll aimless sit in your current league nexting endlessly past resource poor bases because you refuse to drop cups? If that description fits you, then learn to be content with poor results. I suppose you could be on a trophy push, but if that is the case, then why worry about loot in the first place. Just take the first easy base you come across and steal their cups. Of course cups are not the topic here, it is the loot. I have concluded Loot is cyclical, not just in terms of the time of day you hunt, but also the league you’re in. Example, a few weeks ago, G1 to C3 yielded good results. Lately, low G3 and even high S1 have proven the best hunting ground. I’m sure there are those in this community who are capable of creating a comprehensive multidimensional regression chart dictating the in’s and out’s of the loot variable. I’m not that guy, but I will challenge you to explore other leagues if you are struggling to find loot where you are now. If you’re still that unhappy, put all your mines and pumps out for the rest of us, quit and take up quilting.
And now to the conclusion of this reverse rant, which I’m sure you’ll be happy to pass judgment. A heartfelt and genuine thanks to those contributors in this community who have taken the time to post thoughtful suggestions and guides. They haven’t gone unnoticed! Clash on…
Gingerboy,
Well, I would have to disagree with you. I'm a TH10, playing a bit longer than you. I've been from silver 3 to crystal 1, and have had trouble finding loot anywhere.
And no I don't use Gowipe. I'm barching lately, which I just hate (not my style), but I have no choice...
Moving up to masters. I give in.
The loot bonus will be better then trying to find loot from 1800-2600.
Brutal...
Only because of the 100/100/500 bonus. I'll see what's available. Will drop down by the weekend if I still can't find anything.
Also to the people who suggest to move around to look for loot. You don't think the majority of people in this thread don't do that?
The problem is on SC's end not the players.
And please suggest barching for the 10,000 time because that takes great skill and is so much fun  (<----Sarcastic comment)!!!
I somewhat understand your woes, as it gets difficult nexting when it cost you so much. It is one of the reasons TH10 isn't attractive to me at the moment because of said woe's. One other trick that seems to help me as an early th9, after nexting 10 or 15 times, I drop my BK on a lowly base, give them trophies and start the search over. Usually, within the next few clicks, I can find a nice base to hit. Honestly, from what I've read on these threads, TH10's need to push beyond C1, but I'll have to defer on that assessment... I'll be happy for you to hit me, just to improve the economy. I'm sitting on 6mil in gold right now, but no one in my trophy range has the will to fight me for it...
no loot no loot no loot
I can never understand why people searched for 1 hr. I hardly search for more then 5 mins.
What do you look for in raids? Perhaps your expectations are to high.
im currently in c2 and pulling in 4 mil a boost. Even though loot is terrible after the update i am still managing to raid a lot of loot. I take anything from 80k + which can be found very quickly. The 50k loot bonus now brings that up over 100k
Your math doesn't make sense.
You suggest that in two hours of boost, you can take in 4MM resources. Which I'll assume is gross resources looted including bonus. Not net of army/spell costs.
If you're settling for low 100's per raid (including the bonus as you suggest above), that's something in the range of 30 to 40 raids in two hours. I can speed raid, and no chance is 30-40 raids per hour even close to being possible. Cannot be done.
I suspect that a lot of people who suggest that loot is NOT bad, are simply tricking themselves into thinking so.
No. It is not about the cost to raid me. A full army supported with spells could hit me and at worst break even on elixir and make a lot of gold and DE. There are tens of thousands of bases like mine with full storages that rarely ever get raided due to a cheap shield.
Im not saying remove the cheap shield fixes all. I am saying adding loot to the townhalls will reduce snipes enormously. Combine this with some rewards for winning on defense and some limitations to elixir on wall spending such as only excess elixir being available for walls will make raiding my base and tens of thousands others like me viable and profitable.
More people make big armies ....
More breaking of shields....
More big loot bases in the queue....
Less nesting....
More fun....
More gem use....
SC makes more money....
It is a win win
With all due respect ginger, TH9 is simply not fully qualified to comment on bad loot... still being able to pick on poor, unexpecting TH8 makes too much of a difference. And ultimately, your advice, just like everyone else's, appears to be "just barch and press next until you find a collector raid!"
Seriously, is that how the game is meant to be played???
Everybody can comment on loot lol. I am a th9 and loot is not good today. I'm in low crystal 1, where i had been finding lots of loot until today. I am gonna go back up to master for the league bonus. I boosted and only got 1 mil total resources using gibarch (i raid storages and collectors).
Are you saying you don't pick on "unexpecting" or should I say unsuspecting TH9's in your search for loot? I don't simply barch, in fact I'm not barching at all today. I'm having fun looning. I agreed that as a th9, I can't understand all the TH10 woes. But to say I'm not qualified is a poor excuse to discount my observation. Just since I logged off, I did a raid on said 'unexpecting' th8... the results speak for themselves...
As my previous two posts demonstrate, I don't just Barch, and agree with you Ramb02 that th10 presents a whole mess of Texas size issues... What Trophy range are you in right now? Looning for me is a nice way to pass the day. Set the army to cook... go about you business... come back in an hour to have fun with said loons... cook some more and go back to work. Since this strategy is working for even hardened th9's, I have wondered if the new Lava hound would make such farming profitable for a harder th10 base, but I digress off topic with that suggestion.
Im th10 and have gone from giants with heal spells as my main army to barching with 4 wb. Ive dropped from crystal to gold. Ive found that I can still farm enough to keep my builders busy. Luckily Im done with the skull walls and may wait a long time before spending loot on walls again. It just sucks that I went from max elixir storages at th9 to being forced to barch all day at th10. That is a huge difference. Ive never barched before th10 because IMO it sucks. Its like dropping lightning on DE like all of these clowns in gold league love to do.
yes, I've been looning lately, and even upgraded my dark barracks to get lava hounds going and gave them a try. They do help again higher level camp, but again, it comes down to finding a camp that can give you a positive return on investment of elixir (I don't even care about gold amounts - they will build no matter what unless you are nexting forever).
300k Gold on nexting, no E, no G , 2 snipes yielding 11 shields, I'm at TH8 in Gold ii.
this is reality, not a stupid troll about loadsa loot.
Is this the game from now on?
Joined after just being fed up with the loot... This is awful and it has been for months! Nexting for over 100k on average and having to settle for a base in the 50k range for each in C1, so that the bonus helps compensate. Economy 101, folks! Who would spend more on an army and spells just to get a fraction of those costs in return. It is no longer fun.
Seems I'm not alone....
Every day i've gotten closer to rage quitting. Loot issues continue. 95% of possible raids (C1) (max th9)...are in the 40-70k range. What good is that? Even with the increased loot bonus that doesnt break even with a full army raid. I'm sick of barching....and miss the fun this game was...
countdown has begun...
pollofrin we used to have a guy in our clan who posted these fantastic raids. It was back when these search programs was mostly unknown.
He LOVED to lord it over us all and was admired by all the the BEST farmer. I always assumed he just clicked next a lot and that is simply not cost effective.
Once he was 'outed' his interest in the game waned.....he was no longer admired.
Search programs will find you better raids...so what! You will lose a TON of gold finding them. Your clanmates may be impressed by your finds but when you are plainly shown to lie to this forum about WHEN you made these raids please don't expect ANY credibility here again.
M2, 6 raids, 45 minutes, 2 barracks + queen boosted.
Army composition: barch (71550 elixir) + 4 minions (44 DE)
Average nr. of nexting per raid: 20
http://i58.tinypic.com/2e4m29x.jpg
http://i62.tinypic.com/ztui6b.jpg
That looks horrible, imo. It doesn't even contain one single good 200k+ raid to slightly off-set the rest. However, let's take a closer look:
Gold
Gold from raids: 534177
Gold spent on nexting: 20*1000*6=120000
Net gain from raids: 534177-120000=414177
League bonus: 6*120000=720000
Total gain: 414177+720000=1.134.177
Elixir
Elixir from raids: 451120
Elixir spent on troops: 71550*6=429300
Net gain from raids: 451120-429300=21820
League bonus: 6*120000=720000
Total gain: 21820+720000=741.820
DE
DE from raids: 3939
DE spent on troops: 6*44=264
Net gain from raids: 3939-264=3675
League bonus: 6*700=4200
Total gain: 3675+4200=7.875
So over a period of 45 minutes, while attacking bases with very low loot, my net profit consists of 1.134.177 gold, 741.820 elixir and7.875 DE. Over a longer period of time, if you'd throw in an occasional abandoned base with full collectors, the average would increase considerably.
I'm not stating that loot is amazing: most bases I encounter have little loot as shown above. But with increased league bonuses you're a lot less dependent on luck, allowing you to attack bases with low loot and still get a decent (not awesome) return. In addition, you don't really take much from other players themselves. Most of your gain is created out of nothing, increasing overall in-game resources. Having said that, I wouldn't mind getting a better return, but the situation is not abysmal.
^That's pretty good loot for a th10 man.
So, just went to attack in crystal 2 looking for elixir. Here (in thousands) is what I got with each next:
47,61,59,13,104(maxed th10), 33,27,54,84 (maxed th10), 10,42,66,44,46,37,14,72,20,95.
So I got tired of nexting there (I don't have the endurance to next 40-100 times like I used to), and hit the 95K camp.
This is just pathetic.
I am getting similar results as a TH9, barching anything above 85k and, yes, I am making progress. My complaint is that I have NO CHOICE! And this has gone on for WEEKS now...not the odd few days when loot is bad and you either barch or don't play.
This is the problem and this is the complaint. We spent all that time and for some people, money, upgrading troops we can't afford to use.
Lix for walls needs to go.
It has destroyed the game economy. Loot will NEVER get back to the way it was (which hasn't been great since last Decembers 10% loot system). But before lix for walls, loot was ok, and we could progress in the game.
Lix for walls was a game changer. In a BAD way. If it is not taken out, then we need another drastic change to the loot system, allowing us to take more from people holding LESS resources. Back to the original 20% of up to 1 mill...
Guys, just tell your clan mates to put their th outside so everyone could snipe for league bonuses :D
I am not sure how to really post my thoughts or where to do it. But I'm just looking to see why boom beach wants me to update and why it wants to charge me. I thought it was free. Do I have to do this update ??????
Exactly! I can create a very powerful army and take down max 9's, but why when I will not get back half of what I spend? I have all maxed town hall 9 troops, but the loot has deteriorated to the point that it is only marginally profitable using tier 1 troops. Ridiculous!
This game is dying...
This will only work for hardcore farmers (like us) who stay online for a long period of time.
What about casual players who try to save up for an upgrade (lets say 5M gold), logs in, does a raid like yours (100k/100k), then logs out. Gets attacked with full force for 300k/300k because his storage is at 4.5M. Then what?
Been having some fun down in high G2. Made a good amount of loot in a short period of time. I'm tempted to go back to M3 with the new league bonus though..... need to do some maths to work out if I would turn over more $$$.
For quite some time now I have noticed that dead villages are not being presented as targets when raiding in anywhere near the proportion that they can be found when l simply searching clans and looking at villages. Please quit removing their availability to be raided. I'm getting sick and tired of having to spend 100k gold to find a village worth 100k gold for three stars and having to use 200k worth of troops and spells to attack it. For months now I have found that I collect and save more loot from collectors by riding shields and reaping the rewards from collectors and saving up. If your trying to get me to spend money on gems to get loot for an upgrade by limiting the fat juicy easy villages your strategy is backfiring. I used to spend money on gems when loot was easy to find and come by. I like many of my clanmates are getting frustrated with this phenomenon of almost no dead villages available to be hit. I might spend some hard earned money on this game again if the easier villages to farm were put back into the game (for example boosting troops and spells, finishing upgrade to free up builders, get the last little bit of loot for upgrade) because the game would hold some excitment again. It gets super boring to raid and raid and raid and not see the big loot numbers available for raiding. If I want to try my hand at hitting fully live villages every time I raid I will push back to champ league, tired of having to do it while farming. Upgrades happen much slower when waiting on collectors but has proven far more profitable in last few months than actually raiding for loot...supercell's profitability has suffered too with the lack of available dead villages. Supercell wants to highly restrict availability of juicy dead villages...and I highly restrict what I spend on the game! :)
Today I tried the game after 4 weeks break due to ♥♥♥♥ loot. Loot is still God awful, SC had its last chance to keep me and my money. Would have spent way more on the game.
I finally DID it and deleted the game, now I'm deleting all my bookmarks to anything coc related so that I can finally be free of this game. Was fun while it lasted too bad greed killed the game.
Haven't bothered to raid all week because the loot is awful... Something needs to be done or players like myself or going to quit.
Go to masters.
I am in masters.
Loot sucks, it really, really sucks.
Yes after the halloween update the loot is so so so dry... But today this morning i get like 6 millions resources in just 2 hours (i boosted all my barracks) seriously im not joking.. Im th8 in silver 1. If you dont believe me , check me out here is my clan tag #8828PGUQ or search RaidinYourLoot and find Raxtor....
Loot is worse, after the Halloween update. I spend 10 minutes nexting in Masters. I'm just going to finish my gems, and I'm done with this game. I don't believe in using gems for resource. But I will use gems to boost barracks, finish upgrades early, and when i'm a few thousand short of an upgrade. Since there is no loot for me to save, there is no reason for me to finish upgrades early. But the fact that they "hide" inactive bases and do nothing about rabid bunnies, it's clear that Super Cell is no longer appealing to me.
I've had my fun for the last year, spent several hundred dollars on gems. Well, good luck Super Cell. Perhaps the bunnies will buy some gems from you. But no more from me.
Loot is fine atm. Just found an over 1 million loot raid. th10. See links for pics

The loot ALWAYS sucks for a short period after an update. Give it a couple of days and it'll be better.
Not BETTER like old days, but you know...Not sucking too much.
I was thinking of heading up to m3 to farm de and was wondering if the bonus makes it worth while. Currently using BAG in gold 3 targeting bases over 1000 de. I used to farm with loonion in masters, but determined I could be more profitable down in gold 1/2 with a tier 1 army after the elixer for walls update came out.
i'd like to know if someone using loonion in m2 or m3 thinks the DE is good and if the bonus will cover army/spell costs?
SC has just one purpose with this game; making lots of money. This game is running on business model. The decrease of the loot at th10 and almost none commutation on this subject is part of this model. I think we just have too wait until the income of SC drops. Then suddenly we get a fixed too loot; they could fix this in 2 secs. It's a real shame and I would never give my money with this knowledge I got now with this game these days.....
Im here again posting the log whith the new bonus demonstrating you that they are not old pictures....

Yes 3M-4M gold per boost sounds about right. I have been getting the same results as a TH9.
Post screengrabs of these insane raiding frequencies you're doing. I too would like to see how you're going in without a full army, raiding every 3-4 minutes (this is including the Nexting time and time to raid the base, mind you) and still pulling off 1-star wins for the league bonus. I don't buy it either, even on a boost.
If "we" believe these screenshots or not, it's definitely not out problem, like you are stating. I really am happy for those that can manage to find good loot. Way to go! But from my point of view, loosing gold day by day and tapping f next it's just pointless. Since the lava hound update I saved quite some money and it seems I'll be saving some more. I guess that's a good thing as well.
I don't know how you are finding all these stocked TH8 inactive collector bases so consistently and frequently, but I assure you over 95% of the public are not finding them at all, or at the very least maybe once every 150 Nexts. You my friend have the luckiest of rabbit feet up your ♥♥♥♥ and should continue to farm as much as you can while the cards fall in your favor like that. B/c that is not what the rest of us are getting, at all.
LOL. I still think you are using 3rd Party software to help you search out consistent loot like that. I may well be wrong and I apologise if I am, but would you care to make a video of you searching these raids out in such short time frames? I would love to see and understand how you consistently hit these when most people cannot find anything like this, never mind in the time frames and with the frequency that you seem to.
Video please? Just record your screen and upload to youtube. Once you show that I will eat my words and fully apologise. Otherwise I don;t think you are playing this game in an honest way.......
