Farming is a massive grind and more chore then fun now. Casual players and spenders without the time or will to grind will disappear. I'm no expert, but that's not how healthy and viable games should trend.
all we are waiting Halloween update :) I like effects hope this year come great things for this Halloween update but the most important is the system loot it should be fixed not only me experiencing this problem tons of people too ! :/ im th lvl 10 non rushed base I tried all farming leagues but loot still very bad low inactive bases ! I miss the old system loot :/ now loot requirs gems to get ! but unfortunately not all can buy gems supercell so this should be fixed quickly plz in this coming update :/ a lot of people are complaining about system loot in comments on fb even all th are having this problem but I think especially for highest th lvl , a lot of people are leaving this game because of this loot :/ I will like clash of clans much more if the system loot would be fixed I know supercell is always kind with us and very tought :) hope they do this favor for us and the game really would turn into amazing game :D I know too that a lot don't see the system loot bad but unfortunately most of other people are considering this as a problem like me 😕
I thought I would keep track of my last few raids to just get an idea of how many times I am hitting next.

in in the past i averaged between 35-50 nexts before finding a reasonable match.
Basically it is a grind. The people in my clan have been talking a lot about it as well. And I am noticing a few others things that support my experience. I am seeing a lot of strong th10s (maxed inferno towers) down where I am right now (gold 1) and a lot more bases with inactive shields but cleared collectors than in the past.
i am a somewhat new th9 (upgraded at the end of the summer). Clan is Canada rules and name is phoenix If you want to dismiss me by profile. I have netted about 380000000 in gg and ee since starting. I am currently farming in gold1. People have suggested dumping but I don't want to be the big bad th9 picking on little guys.

FYI, I have no problems finding loot and profitable raids. I do mainly storage raids on th9 and th10 villages.
Is raiding them fun? Of course, that's why I play the game.
Is pressing the next button for minutes fun? No. Why is it even part of the game?

With loot being the most talked about thread on this site, I really do hope a solution will come sometime sooner rather than later..... I replied to this thread probably a hundred pages ago maybe more. Tried raiding a couple times and still terrible findings with loot not even worth reimbursement of army at least at town hall 10.Hopefully a big loot improvement comes soon. The game has since lost much of my interest only logging on to collect pumps and donate isn't much fun. With so much replies over this terrible loot what will happen....... hopefully SC does something more than just put out more commercials....
I have a well developed th10 base, not far from maxed and since the update the loot has been horrendous. I am in crystal 2 and prior to the update i was getting regular raids of 300k without much searching now I get the odd decent raids but i am mainly pressing next about 100 times (100k) to find a base with 120k. I use maxed balloonions to farm so i do not rely on dead bases for my loot and generally 3 star bases so there is a major shortage of loot in storages as this is where i get the majority of my loot from.
I have a simple solution to solve the loot crisis. If everybody puts there town hall outside so it can easily be sniped then everyone will be able to gain loot via the league bonus with zero (or very small if you have no heroes) expense and the defender will lose nothing. I am in crystal 2 so the bonus is 33k gold and elixir plus 100 DE if everyone had there town halls outside it would be easy to win 60 in an hour for example which would reap rewards of 1,980,000 gold and elixir and 6000 DE in one hour.
People will moan that this would make the trophy system pointless but they are pretty irrelevant anyway as when farming nobody cares about trophies, this would also enable lower town halls to go up leagues easier granting them better league bonus and gems for the achievements.
People will probably say this would take the fun out of the game but lets be serious at the moment it is not much fun pressing next 100 times for zero gains.
Please discuss.

Let's be real people the VAST MAJORITY of clash players are not sitting on 5mil+ loot. Therefore the VAST MAJORITY of searches will not have a lot of loot.
Solution: Manufactured loot. This is where SC will boost the amount if loot in each raid. So say a base has 40k loot availiable. SC would then add like 20% of that on to the loot. This acts like a loot bonus. This bonus would not deduct from loot taken.
If you are confused i know this idea has been mention before in the forums with better explanations.
PS if ya hate the loot so bad... why u still play?

Hi Anoushka, there has been a large percentage of players/forumers that have been upset since Decembers update when farming became more and more difficult to do.
1- The removal of inactives villages.
2- Loot update that lets more get stollen from you than you can re-generate whilst under a shield.
3- Clan Wars that costs more resources than you can win.
4- Collectors/mines output that has not increased since TH8 was the maximum.
Need I go on.
SC repeatedly mentions they are looking in to it and are reluctant to add more resources (repeatedly mentioned since Decembers loot "update") because it would make the game too easy.
I for one think SC recent "improvements" to the game's economy have been detrimental to the game. I hope they change tact soon. I love this game but I am playing less and less. I am finding it like a second job to progress in it. Simply no fun anymore.
Yup when larger upgrades come you don't have enough time to raid over a couple million so you dump it in walls. I sit with no balance much like the rest of CoC. If it doesn't change I'll just CW tell I'm bored on my stagnated base.
1-Inactives are raided everyday. There are less at higher town hall levels.
2-Decently developed villages are not regularly 3 starred (unless they are playing out of their league) causing the loss of so much loot. If you are losing all your storages at th9-10 on a regular basis you can change that.
3-Change your army comp?
4-Completely false. When th9 came into the game so did level 11 collectors After th10 was around for a bit they got extra collectors.
I don't see why supercell would take so long to fix the loot problem?! You just put out 1 gem boost for temporary fix, why not just give us collectors level 12, especially we have new level 7 troops and arch towers!! Or you just want people to gem all those new stuff! You don't have to be a rocket scientist to fix the loot problem, it's more like a greedy decision from the management, who doesn't give a damn about the players!! Pathetic!,
Quit complaining about look if you're TH 8 or below. You should have ZERO trouble finding loot (and by that I mean gold.)
I'm a defense-wise maxed TH 8 doing skull walls. I farmed over 6 MILLION GOLD IN 7 HOURS this weekend. And I only had 4 of those hours with boosted barracks! That's pretty good.
ALSO, I joined CCFILL on Thursday, where I am now a coleader with 5.5k donations. Again, 7 hours (didn't really play on Thursday). 785 donations an hour. Not much time to raid, is there? The majority of that gold came from my 4 hours of boost.
I farmed 11 level 7 walls and 8 skull walls that weekend. My main targets? Town Hall 7's and inactive bases. My army: 112 archers, 72 barbarians, 8 walls breakers.
Meanwhile, my elixir went from 600k to 2.3 million. Donating 5,500 barbs isn't expensive. It's 550,000 elixir. You can get that in a few raids.
Conclusion? There were plenty of good gold raids with bad elixir and some bases with good amounts of each, but never bases with good elixir and not gold. And this proves that loot is decent at this level. It doesn't get bad until Town Hall 9.
Been having a really tough time with looking for good bases to barch with in masters 3 lately. Plus my defense hasn't been holding up too well either. Should I stay in masters or move down to crystal 2 or 1?
I don't think a big change is required. By simply adding an extra pump for gold and elixir the net effect would result in a boost to production, people could afford better armies than barch (yawn), simply put the flow on effect would be noticeable

This really needs to be in the main loot thread. There are loads of people there that want loot improved. Sadly I don't think it's coming this halloween. But we can all hope:)
I have had AMAZING loot this update. Not even kidding, I find collector raids every few nexts and it is good. I am a TH9 in gold 2 and it rocks. But I think one thing they need to add is level 12 collectors, I think that will benefit everybody.
I think we can all agree that this most recent update broke the loot system. It also seems like every update is in someway to nerf some aspect of the game to promote gemming. This was probably my favorite game (somehow over my typical favs on consoles) until this update.
for some reason, we're unfairly good to SC. Most people outcry on the reviews/ratings section of an app after a bad update. But, we just seem to take it.
so, I encourage us to speak up where it matters - THE APP STORE. Not a forum where only "we" are going to read it. Change your rating to 1 star, leave a review about the horrible loot situation. I imagine the dent in their pocket book might spring a fix in the system a whole lot quicker.
Already did, seeing many reasonable 1 star reviews pop up all over too. Will give bad reviews on my other accounts too.
Loot is terribly inconsistent. Some days i kill it and others I can't buy a good base.

I've now left my clan, and deleted the app. What a waste of 260 hours of my life. If loot is fixed, I'll retract that statement, but nothing's been done in 7 weeks so I'm out.

Mmhm. I should follow this. I'm definitely not finding easies and inactives and I'm definitely always using barch. If I wanted to, I would rate 5 stars, even if loot was bad because I'm not paying them, they are doing this for me and I will never have to pay.

I have given up on farming and just war and chat now, if we lose a string of wars I guess I will be out of E and out of the game for a while. Only Supercell know the impact on their profits of the updates that caused the loot shortage. Presumably if people are gemming instead of farming this will be good for S.Cell's bottom line. When people stop gemming things may change. The clones of COC seem equally greedy for quick profits. I am surprised no-one has thought it worthwhile to develop a game with a fairer economy, a 100m instead of 1bn would still be a lot of profit each year. Now then, where's my code manual.....
Guys I've farmed over 10 mill gold today and over 5 mill elixir I'm a th 7 everyone is complaining can you guys explain to me when loot gets bad?

The game is different for everyone. Some can't find loot, others are swimming in it. Don't stake your clash experience off of others experiences, especially from forumers.

Don't bother,this used to be a fun and addictive game.The developers have recently gone overboard with greed and crashed the games economy.The game is now at the beginning of its final death throws and Supercell apparently could care less.I deeply regret ever giving them a dime.

That argument doesn't hold. You are saying there are lots of nexts due to a gold problem. I never said there was no gold problem (for TH10 anyway). I said the gold problem isn't due to the wall update. Being able to put elixer into walls doesn't cause less gold to be available to raid. Adding expensive gold upgrades without increasing collectors causes less gold to be available to raid. Taking abandoned bases out of play causes less gold to be available to raid. Putting elixer into walls doesn't cause less gold to be available to raid.
Loot is out there. Just next about 250 times. I just found total 200k loots after 250 next. Only cost 150k. 50k profit I'll take it.
Loot is only harder at TH10 although I think there is less loot around now for TH9s than there used to be too.
Yeah because I'm just worried about when I get to the higher town halls because I can't just go spend hundreds of dollars on this game
I agree with the new expensive upgrades they should add level 12 collectors at TH9 and 10. However, to think "greedy" is an insult to a business is pretty funny. EVERY decision they make SHOULD be made based upon how much profit it will lead to. Obviously, one of the things that will increase profit is to have more people playing the game more often, assuming those people are purchasing gems. With this in mind, the only thing I would care about regarding loot if I was Supercell would be if people that use gems to boost barracks stop doing so.
P.S. TH10 is supposed to be very hard to max out without paying for it. Until they make a TH11, they will want to keep it that way.

I've been finding 150k collector raids and easy 1k DE in crystal 2 (2200-2300) today
Well,carefully read what I posted and then stop and think about it one more time,If it doesn't sink in by then,I guess you can't be helped.The loot crisis was predicted from day one by many including myself,that also went over peoples heads but now I see the same people posting all sorts of crackpot theories about it.I gotta wonder who tells you guys when it is time to eat.
Problem still remains that every th10 that needs loot for any reason shouldn't have to take up residence in gold 1 just to get their hands on any of it. Now speaking for myself I've been doing reasonably well in M3 hog farming....not as efficient as barching but a helluva lot more fun.
I'm too curious and have too much time on my hands..dropped down and still found nothing. Now I can hardly resist the temptation to climb to see if it's better up there

Loot today has been amazing! Farmed 7 million gold and 4.3Mil elixir, now working to fill up the elixir.
There are various reasons why people say the loot is bad.
As you go to a higher TH you get hit by a restriction in the loot for attacking a lower TH. When you get to TH9 &10 the pool of TH's you can attack and get loot from reduces. So you could have a collector base as a TH8 with decent loot. TH9 will get less of it and TH10 even less again.
Most TH9 & 10's can hold large amounts of loot in storages . So 200K Gold sounds good - but if its spread across 4 which aren't together... its not great. Not only that but you need more expensive armies to crack well designed bases to get all the loot. When you add in a couple spells.... not everybody is having the cost of their army covered,
There is an issue with lower level town halls creeping up the leagues. I'm noticing less and less difference between Crystal 3 and gold 1 as more and more TH8's appear. That's not necessarily a bad thing for them. But it does mean that people are nexting more and more in better leagues. As you climb higher each league has its little 'quirks'.
200K in a collector base that you can get it all ( or most) with barch ( cheap, often no spells are needed and quick to train) is an ideal base for farming quickly. unfortunately people see less and less of these and this forms the backbone of the complaints about seeing less and less collector bases. That's not exactly true. There are lots of collector bases around.... just they have not been upgraded and hold less loot.
There 'problem' with loot appears to be a combination of the following
- The time people want to spend playing the game ( one hour, two hours etc)
- The frequency that they can play ( once a day, several times a day, weekends only etc)
- The amount that they need to loot to keep all their builders busy (cost of upgrades)
- Perceived speed of progression (how fast they think that they should be upgrading) - usually relating to the never ending wall and hero upgrades. Some people claim to raid insane amounts of loot- and upgrade walls quickly... where as others like me seem to take for ever.
There are probably a few other factors involved ( such as league, army composition and the type of bases that a person will be attacking)
The problem is that Supercell's concept of the above points isn't necessarily the same impression that the rest of us have when playing the game. Particularly the speed of progression. I'm not sure what people think is a good 'normal' speed for progression - but for many people it seems that their concept is a much faster progression than what Supercell's current system provides. Hence the complaints.
Maybe I'm wrong but that is what I have understood from all the loot threads that I have read on the forum and I haven't read them all. Too many.

As as for loot...ouch. C3 thru C1 has been poor at best. Usually get 1-2 250k gold raids a day...i used to get 3-4. But, gold 1 league...hum...i usually found th7-8's there and loot penality wis a killer...but i will try.

Just wanted to add that this is why when some people tell others to "adapt or quit," it's like saying to throw the baby out with the bath water. There are a lot of people on the forums who really care about the game, but are giving genuine feedback about changes they are experiencing in gameplay and are trying to offer suggestions for improvement. Not everyone that is reporting bad loot are really negative. There are a lot of negative "loot's fine" and "adapt or quit" line towers as well. I know you're not saying this, but there are some people on here lumping everyone that is reporting bad loot into one group as negative complainers, which isn't true.
i think this is a very well thought out post (clap) loot has always been like a gazelle you need to stalk it if you want to eat. I remember when My main was a TH9 1300-1400 was where it was at, go to 1500 and it was dry as a bone, I think it was where the bases owned by people whol played infrequently levelled out.
i guess also the boost week pre update perhaps made the difference seem that much wider.
got to think positive though, these things always work themselves out in the end

yeah I think black text on white background is a terrible way to express opinions ... When the forum is tense things can easily be taken the wrong way. I know I and the other mods have been trying to be fair with the merges for example ... Some loot threads have merit staying in general and we try not to just merge the loot is bad ones....but it's not easy getting the balance perfect
My town hall is inside, time to see if this game is fun from the trophy aspect. Hopefully I'll find loot or sc will fix it before I search every league.

I could only find loot in Gold 1 for the last few months. Moved up to C2 to get decent DE in the week (and fell back down with a thud today). The problem I found in C2 a few months back was that most TH9's had maxed or nearly maxed their defenses. All they had to do was walls and heroes and so gold was dumped into walls. DE was ok due to the sheer amount that was needed for heroes. Elixir varied. So there does seem to be a band where 'loot' appears scares as a natural progression of sorts
I still think another couple of weeks and loot will have leveled At what level - who knows? As for thinking positive... My clan have started showing replays of raids again so I think there is some improvement building out there already. I just hope this is the start ... and not the end of the improvement!
Well, if it's true that the decisions SC makes are carefully calculated, then i guess it's pretty clear they're just greedy. Because supposedly 3,4 million a day is satisfying enough. but no! they just gotta have more! it's in no way possible, that the recent lix for walls is player-oriented.
Are you farming in? I spent about 3 weeks in masters. Just the bases were hard to make an awesome profit. But I'm in crystal 2 at the moment doing very well.

Also, my Town Hall 9/10 clanmates can EASILY find 400k+ raids.
As a Town Hall 8, I can get 400k within 50 clicks of "Next."

Before the update elixir was overflowing in almost every base. After the update elixir is almost nowhere. Was the wall upgrade with elixir worth it? Everyone wanted that, or did they? Now you have to try to find elixir (forever) or GEM it. It is never to late to make walls not upgradable with elixir. I, and many other clashers, want purple rain again.
