I've seen this affecting town halls 7, and 8 at least. Everyone seems to be running into these 30k,50k,80k bases that just aren't practical to attack. It's not impossible to get loot, but really is quite boring hit next constantly. The loot I'm sure used to be fine for th8s.
On a separate note, I have seen a ridiculous number of inactive bases lately. It had been suggested SC might have "flipped a switch" to turn these guys up, but maybe a lot of people have just been quitting lately. The problem is that most of the inactives I'm seeing have empty storages and low-level collectors that don't make them viable targets either.
This loot stuff is just weird. On monday morning I kept finding dead bases for like 6 hours and made loot like crazy but before and since then I didn't find anything at all. I have no idea how's that possible!? Another big reason will be the i*** making people stay online for the maximum possible period. To be honest, I don't raid that much anymore, stay on a shield once I got it and I don't spend anymore gems on the game till i*** and s***b** is fixed by sc. Wars are pretty much useless anymore since there are just to much fools that take advantage of third party software. We lost last 6 wars to clans which are clearly making use of i***. SC should fix those problems asap, else the game will be dead soon.
"build a cheaper army" "learn how to barch"
Really? We work hard and get our TH to the highest level and our troops to the maxed out and when we get there the only armies we can afford to build and raid with is Barch and BAM... that absolutely sucks.
Also for me personally this isn't a "loot" crisis, more of an Elixir crisis. I see plenty of gold and DE in the hours I spend nexting, it's elixir that is so rare that it's like rocking horse ♥♥♥♥.
I have a very uneasy feeling that SC are not going to do anything about this. I am going to be gutted that I have put quite a bit of my money and an awful lot of my time into a game that has now changed the goalposts and, for me, is becoming unplayable.
Funny, I thought the way CoC is now meant to be played is by raiding storages:rolleyes:
Today I tried raiding again, in one hour I did 4 raids:
- 100k
- 60K
- 60K
- 60k
Those were my brutto income numbers from each resource.
Taking into account the league bonus and the nexting expense, I gained a netto of approximately 200k gold (and less Elixir since I had to use armies and 1-2 spelles) in one hour. IN.ONE.HOUR.
IS THIS A JOKE????
I stopped playing after update. Came back last Friday to try and get builders going again. Loot is still terrible at TH8. Barching is pulling me 60k to 80k bases. I dropped from crystal 1 to gold 2, no change. A more expensive army is worse because it even farther limits my base selection. Also I cant be inactive for a minute or I get raided. I used to be able alt tab a forum come back in a minute. I get attack every available seconds I'm not on. That tells me there is much less people playing and they tweaked some things to make bases available with good loot. I'm not grinding out nonstop 60k bases to prop up a resource nerf. Frankly this game has become a huge timesink for a app game, its completely out of w♥♥♥♥ right now.
I have been playing COC for a year now but since I got TH10 the loot became really bad spending 100k+ gold on searches and finding nothing.
I am really annoyed and I am considering to stop playing very soon. Supercell must be hiding away abandoned villages
Loot has definitely recovered from where it was two weeks ago.
But the fact is that once they switched to elixir walls, loot was fundamentally changed forever.
Many people said it would happen, because of basic economic principles.
Still, most didn't care. They couldn't wait for the update to drop so they could dump elixir into walls! Well, be careful what you clamor for, SC might just give it to you. And here it is.
Overall, adjust and adapt--get some calluses on that nexting finger.
One could only hope. I'm sure they are reading this and are aware of the complaints we have brought to this forum, however... what are they going to do about it?
Yes, you can BARCH... but now you are forced to train only a certain army and just hope someone hasn't collected their resources. I don't know about you, but I've spent over a year upgrading my favorite troops to a high level so I can have fun attacking. Barching every attack is boring and to be honest, pointless. All most every time I'm clicking next to the tune of 80-100k of Gold only to find a base where I barely make up the elixer I spent to make the BARCH, and only get back around 60k in gold. So... Im 40k in the hole.
Most are turning to just using shields and just collecting all the time which further reduces the loot chance.
If an update isn't out by the end of the year resolving this, I'm putting all my stuff on the outside and letting you guys have at it. The fun in this game is almost dead.

We are well aware of the loot problem and SC monitors it very closely. Now, if we followed your method, we'd be witnessing a spam of same issues in every sub-forum. We don't want that happening, thus we decided to organize (redirect/group/move etc.) a little more. If you have further questions regarding mod decisions or how this forum operates, feel free to send out a PM to any SC staff or moderator. Thank you.

The forums have become as painful as the loot, that is our another problem... mods keep dumping threads as they please...I post a thread of Th10 casual gemmers, they see the word loot & yo..straight in the loot bin thread... just dump all as they please... lolz sc is monitoring the situation..let hem keep monitoring...we are moving on (atleast from the forums)
well I have removed my frustration by getting back refund for recent gems I bought from Apple (at least they know how to treat customers...thank god for that...)
PS: feel free to ban me or give one of those red/yellow cards
counting the seconds it will take to dump this thread...
what else do you expect them to do. all they can do is monitor it. i for one dont want them to waste anymore developer time on changing the loot system again. updates take forever these days as it is.
if you are strugglig for loot then i suggest you try some new strategies. i was struggling but then i change and now it is better.
there is loot out there you just gotta get it.
What is your method?
The quote is out of context as it's clearly referring to a question/comment from you which is excluded. At least give them the courtesy of including the context.
First you gotta tell me what th are you...
anyways no point in discussing it... if you get good loot...congrats... I am only taking about elix nothing else....
No point in coming & writing on the forums, as its gonna get dumped here & there...
& my post was about the mods dumpings...
With the loot situation being so bad, I agree it is, and SC seemingly staying distant from the issue has it been suggested that we organise a mass exodus of the game. Just agree on a time and date in a week or two's time when everyone that has ever read this thread and agrees with the loot issues just drops the game.
Just a thought, how we organise it on the other hand is another matter. A separate 'Quit' thread maybe.
Pretty sure they're aware of the problem, just don't want new users posting a new thread every second about how his or her life is over because they can't find loot. That would be frustrating, and I agree it would clutter up the whole general section. Moderators are also human, they will sometimes make mistakes and dump a thread accidentally.
At the end of the day, SC has provided you with a great game for you to play for free, you don't have to pay for it, that's your choice. You also don't have to play it if you don't want to, you're not being forced in any way. You're free to provide constructive criticism, but within forum boundaries, avoiding spam and anything related to that.
The stickied loot thread already says a lot to SC, just by being stickied.
Its not out of context I put up a mod post on a thread which the mod locked up:
http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...=1#post2934640
WE post anything with loot word...its goes to loot bin thread...
WE post anything on lava...it goes to update bin...
looks like the bots have taken over the mods...
If they solve the loot problem they bankrupt.... Why dont you get it... Thr only thing you can do is join a low populated clan and do wars
really. your title refers to mods monitoring loot issues. your rant goes into how they dump threads that they dont like or feel have a detremental effect on the forums.
by the way i am th10. farming in c3-2. i have no loot issues and no issues to mods dumping threads. there are way too many complaints on the same issue. i get that no one want to read through over 1000 posts so they start a new thread on the same problem. i would suppose that the forum has become too successful.
Its like daddy just made it to prevent spamming generals not to help the loot prob...
just cut your wrists SC, this guy wants blood.
if you paid for the game more maybe SC would get more developers to make the things better you want.
cake and eat it comes to my mind
Good loot for me....people complaining just are never satsified.
point I am trying to make is even if the thread is not about loot specific or otherwise about update specific...still the dumping goes on... I can understand the mods putting bad loot 100's of thread in one place & the point is well made... I have no objections to that...
For the first time since I started playing this game, I am forced to put it down because I have no elixir to raid. I have moved from crystal to champs, and the only army that seems sustainable right now is barch/bam. Why upgrade troops, base etc. when you are forced to use only the cheapest troops in the game?
There is no way I am ever using gems to buy elixir. If that is SC's plan, it will fail. People will quit and the game will die. Few games get a clear forewarning ahead of mass-quitting, but this is it SC. Read the feedback and use your heads. When people have left you, there is not turning back.
thought i would update my sig for you so you know th etc
I've written up a mini guide on league farming. The link is in my sig. Everything you need to know about how to farm the league bonus, plus other benefits, all with a cheap and simple army.
Before you read through, I just need to note, this strategy works better the longer you can stay online. If you do not have the time, then this may/may not benefit you.
Just to save you the trouble if this will effect you.
So what you are saying.
1. Boost 4-5 racs bk and aq. Maybe sf
2. Play 4 hrs straight to get half the gold needed to upgrade one th9 up grade after dumping most of it in the next button.
My way.
1 stop buying the gems needed to play all out like that.
2. Raid for the fun of it. Clan wars/just to bust heads/ revenge attacks.
3. Put the game down and enjoy life
4. Dont stress out over a game that is a chore as some fluffy bunny bot takes all the loot and cheapens all the work you put into your base
5. Stupid bots
Loot is horrible here at....early morning, afternoon, late afternoon, and midnight. The only time I ever find an iota of loot is around 7:00-8;30.
I've been thinking a great deal about a balanced solution to the perceived loot problem in the game at the minute. There are many simple suggestions like dropping the Next fee, releasing level 12 mines and pumps or increasing the league loot bonus. These are all great ideas, probably won't happen as they would massively unbalance the game. So, I have my own, more elegant solution. It's very simple really, depending on the number of stars you earn, you get a % of your troops killed/spells used cost back.
Examples:
If you score three stars, you are rewarded the full cost of your killed army units back as a bonus at the end.
Two stars would be 75% of killed units.
One star would be 50% of killed units.
The benefits of this are pretty good, obviously, the cost of your attacking army will be reduced, hence increasing the amount of loot you earn per raid. The staggered refund percentages will reward more competitive gaming instead of the endless 50% farming gameplay we currently see. Only refunding killed units balanced the refund reward a little, meaning overwhelming, unfair wins versus lower THs aren't rewarded too much.
The very core of gameplay in Clash of Clans, in my opinion, is managing your resource margins. Working to maximise your return per raid and making as much profit as possible. This method increases profitability, increases "fun" game play with power armies and discourages the current farming techniques that are harming the game by making raiding more profitable and fun. e.g. Town Hall Sniping.
This should also be implemented in Clan Wars as it'll significantly improve the benefits of fighting wars.
Your thoughts?
not sure if its been suggested but how about returning deployed, but not killed in action, troops to your camps after a raid?
I like the idea. There is a very poor payback on building mass armies now. Before you had no use for elixir, so it was fun too smash a big base. Even getting all the loot from a 400/400/3000 base will still cause you to loose elixir. A big army costs 500k elixir!
So there's the title.
LEAGUE FARMING - How to overcome the loot drought
It's great that you acknowledge that there is a loot drought.
This is a clever workaround to the problem. I may try this too for the TH10 im playing. But maybe for the long term, this is not a good thing. Those who does this will (presumably) be somewhat satisfied with the loot, spending less time pointing out the problem in the forum (as you have been), and mask the loot problem itself, making it stay unresolved by SC.
this game is awful right now, seriously terrible.
Cheap troops and cup hunting seems like the only way to progress.
Feel for you guys, any th below 10 is having a hard time now
Just curious, how long was the previous loot dumpster thread? Because this one is pushing 2k posts.
Regardless of whether you think loot is fine or not, ive never seen such a prolonged negative response to the effects an update has had on the in game economy. It would be nice to have some sort of official supercell response on the issue.
http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...ly-Loot-thread!!
It was at 3,000 posts when it got locked.
Ehh, there response is always the same - "monitoring the situation". The best thing the players can do is monitor their gem purchases. As in don't buy any until it improves. Or take your money to game that is fun!
Edit: I think SC is trying. They are flooding the game with inactives and also notice they seem to be making the update cycle longer. Plus they offered a collector boost before and after update. I just don't think it is enough
Loot is still BAD.. BAD. BAD:mad:
Loot for me is VEY VERY VERY bad... I have just got TH 9 and I need a lot of gold and elixir for upgrades but I'm literally only finding 30-60k raids, and I'll come across maybe 100k after about 40+ searches... Please do something Supercell, help your players out. Without us, Clash Of Clans would be nothing...
How about if SC lowers the loot penalty? so everyone could farm again.
I think this is the longest SuperSteve has gone without posting on the forums. It's been almost two weeks since he's even made a post.
1.882 ( a thousand eight hundred and eighty two ) posts...
Here is my story...
http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...nferno-Tower-3
As a TH10 I think thats a great idea, as a TH8 Im sure you will be back posting on here to increase the loot penalty about a day after they drop it.
I was so sad to see how loot was low...
I was so sad to not find the good way....
I have try to change my vision of the farming, it was the only solution i founded.
It looks working fine...

Be positive, try others ways, you are able to do it !
Let me tell you a fairy story.
Times ago, in a lush and unexplored forest, there were a lake where no one had been. The water was full of fishes and they were breeding undisturbed. One day a bigger fish, a predator, arrived in this pond. Surprised by such abundance he started hunting and eating, becoming a powerful beast. Immediately he told to his friends the discovery. So, many other predators reached the little lake, looking for "easy prey". In a short time the pond became leafless, empty. In it's water there weren't fishes anymore, all ate by predators. Then these, made lazy and incapable by the long period of easy hunting, started complaining about the food shortage.
Instead of looking for new ponds they started eating themselves, slowly dying.
I was surprised to wake up to a GoWiWi attack. Out of curiosity, I ran the numbers. Including M3 bonus, the attacker gained 1,195DE, lost 19,332 elixir, and gained 125,162 gold (less unknown nexting costs).
I use GoWiWi in CW so I know it takes a long time to train and it's not cheap. That's a lot of risk for little reward.
I don't mind a little barching from time to time, but I haven't spent months building up all my other troops just to ignore them and search for inactives. I wanna smash some bases and get their storages but too many bases (like mine) don't have enough in the storages to make it worthwhile.
when they adjust the loot penalty, if affects everyone. so it should be fine and fair to everyone.
If you are happy that I can raid you for 100% when you are a TH8 and Im a TH10, great.
Seems very fair to me :D
So many of us complain, but I wanted to make a positive post for once.
Since the maintenance breaks, the loot I am finding is back to per- update levels!!!
I dont know if this was what teh breaks were for, but I see a marked difference.
I know its all relative. So FWIW, I am TH8, in Gold 2, finding 100K/100K+ barchable TH7-TH9s every 15 or so nexts, with the occasional 200K./200K + base. I can live with that!
Thanks SuperCell! Great game by the way.
I see loot is back where it was before. Gone. So we all have to accommodate to a little different game now and no collector bases, unless there is a 1-gem boost.
Not sure it would help anyone, but this is what (kind of) works for me in these times... Although it is seriously boring to raid with the same army for days.
1. Crystal 1+ league
2. Storage raid army calculated for TH10 Army camps, easily spread in all barracks:
- 8 Barbs, just for clearing up the entry point from bombs and traps
- 80 Archers
- 8 Goblins
- 16 Giants
- 8 Wallbreakers
- 4 Minions
- 8 Hogs
- Spells: 2 lightnings, 2 heals, 1 rage (you won't need them all for every attack)
- Heroes (preferably both)
It takes more or less 21 minutes to build the army and you can usually take at least 2 storages of almost any base + you get league bonus for each win and you should be able to win most with this army.
The problem with this analogy is that there are no other lakes to fish in.....
If there was tons of loot in storages and it was only the collector raids that were affected then I would agree, but there is no elixir anywhere, it's incredibly scarce.
Your only option is to make the cheapest army available and just try to make very small profits, which then changes the game from fun, to a grind.
No, they need to reduce the nexting fee so we don't lose 200k and find nothing.
To resolve the loot issue I think they would need to eliminate the ability to gain shield by having just your th destroyed.
As a farmer, it's the last thing I would want, but think about it...less shields = more available loot.
Once long ago, when wall breakers went after wall spikes and your armies died if their camps were destroy and the waterfall existed - this too was the way things were (no penalty)
But people complained, constantly being trampled by higher TH levels. Loot for those on the top of the pile was great, while new/weaker players were constantly ground to dust.
Be careful what you wish for
(I am a Th10, very advanced. Would be great for me, just saying)
I'm getting to the point where I'm stopping raiding because I'm loosing more loot then I'm gaining. I've only made around 300k gold today and I've been attacking as soon as m troops are done... That's saying something
Decreasing the loot penalty is a horrible idea. They just need to add a super OP level 12 Gold Mine and Elixer Collector. Then you can farm yourself
The issue is nexting, not loot. Loot can always be found, but it takes too long and is too expensive to keep nexting for it. So the solution is to make more bases worthy of being raided (otherwise everyone skips them). How could this be done?
Everyone knows the loot problem..
My solution is very good for me and gives more time to other hobbies, reading etc...
I don't attack anymore at all.
There is no point nexting 100 times (for me 100k gold), building army costs at least 100k elixir.
I just empty my collectors every morning and evening and thats it.
No need to use gems anymore even for barrack boost.
Either that, or give everyone the ability that fluffy bunnies already have (to make things fair), which is the ability to set loot parameters and max number of nexts and have an auto-next feature. This wouldn't solve the problem of low overall resources in the game, but it would solve the unnecessarily tedious next-button pressing problem.
To do this you'd have to ultimately decrease shield times or change how shields are given. Like no TH shields or inactives get reduced shields or something that gets normally shielded bases unshielded. Though most of these solutions will just cause more problems (like no TH shields will anger farmers and inactives getting reduced shields will result in dry collector raids)Quote:

I've adopted the same strategy. Only attack for wars, and empty collectors.
I'd like to attack, and would, but I'd rather not lose 100k-150k elixir to gain like 50k gold and 1-2k DE.
Still no feedback from sc? I'm really angry at what they've done with the elixir. Seeing a lot of lower level th with high level walls
and you are th10?
because although my loot has decrease from what it use to be when i was in th8, i still be able to up my balloon to lv6. and today i up one of my camp. i am in gold2.
boosting 2barracks and getting only 2million elixir is nothing to be proud of... but when times are hard, you take what you can get.
Good, leaves more loot for me.
You could remove the loot penalties on collectors (even though there aren't any)
Loot sucks and that is that supercell wants us to grind all the way to the top. Either that or spend money. In the end is money that really matters they been making subtle changes every time to reduce loot. I was making 200k raids often a few months back then 150k then i was happy with 100k raids but lately 100k raids are difficult to come by. I dun even play coc lik 2 months ago is more of a work than a game i have to actually force myself to get into the game. I know many feel this way. They need to fix this because their game lifetime is shortening with each day that passes.
So your admitting that this thread is about the moderators dumping threads and has nothing to do with loot, ok!
If this is strictly a forum issue for you, why did you use this as an underhanded excuse to recieve a refund from Apple? The forums have absolutely nothing to do with direct game play, yet you saw an opportunity and took it. And what's worse is that you came here to brag about it. For this, you should be banned from the forums, as well as the game!!!
Stop paying them money! They just lure you in then make it way too difficult to farm... hoping you will spend more money. When they stop making money, they will take out the most boring part of the game. Either that or pray for some good hxcks!
What they need to do is have a graduated system that removes portions of the loot cap on lower leveled THs that are up in high trophy ranges.
As a TH10 I find way too many TH7s and TH8s all over Crystal gunning for the gems while offering (mostly due to the loot penalty and to game mechanics) little if next to nothing that makes raiding them attractive.
Here's the idea in a nutshell. You're a TH7 and you want to do a cup run into Masters and play with the big boys? Fine, but you no longer receive the benefit of a higher TH having a loot penalty.
How about scaling win bonuses with the number of stars? How about some type of item/reward for destroying a TH? How about increasing collector output for consecutive offensive wins? The point is to create meaningful incentives/rewards for obtaining higher trophy counts and attacking/winning battles against active players. I'm fine with SC deprioritizing inactive bases, but then they must incentivise us to attack active bases.
exactly my game plan... gems use i have made it absolutely zero...i wait for 3 hours to let spells complete & comeback to raid later, when actually i used to do 2 full raids an hour...
did you atleast read that and this thread before coming to conclusions ? the mod reply which i posted was in ref to exactly what i was saying about mods dumping threads as they please... if you cant possible go through a 2 page thread to know what people are saying how can mods expect us to go through 100's of pages...
So you're saying clash of clan is the type of game that fails because it's more fun to not pay them, right?
I wanna give that a try simply coz barching is so boring. Sadly I think the elixir cost is almost 98k without even counting the spells.
But the sort of bases I got last session I played, it would take about 50 or so nexts just to find a base with 150 elixir so I'm not sure it would work for me. Will try and get up to C1 or M3 and see what bases are offering there (in C2 at the moment)
seems you have lots of time to investigate my intentions...if it aint obvious to you that we (many of us) are frustrated with our fav game... & no one seems to be caring a #### & mods are just dumping what ever we try to say without even looking at the thread then no point in explaining further...
It fails because it just squeezes people for money. Instead of reaching the end game or making it affordable, they make it so it's impossible and boring at th9
